'Its really hot... 22 degrees' true Scotsmen 🤣
It is 😂
I hope your channel gets the subs it deserves so you keep making these videos. Been going through a rough patch lately. Watching these videos before bed and 🍵 the best wind down for my head. Thank you to you and your pup🙏
Thanks so much, hearing that it helps someone to relax is the best feedback. I hope things improve for you soon. All the best.
Frequencies work amazing to keep midge's away! Also bug spray! Thanks for sharing your journey b👍
Thanks for watching!
Those midges! Don't blame you for not camping for a while afterwards. 2018/19 was horrendous when we lived up there. And you're right, if people watching your videos haven't experienced the midges then good for them!
Catch the midge on the wrong day and it really is just miserable 😂
I Love your thick accent and the content of your videos I wish your channel lots of success
Thank you very much Roy 👍
Living the dream
Thanks for watching 😀👍
The whole video love it my friend.
Thanks for share this 🍃🙌🏽
Thanks for watching 😄👍
Love the hammock camping style, but more importantly your handsome dog made a great midge background to see how bad they where
Thanks for watching Peter, he makes a good midge magnet 😄👍
Another cracking video 👍🏻
Much appreciated Andy 👍
Nice video, and you've got a beautiful dog.
Many thanks Arthur 😄
Thank you.
Thanks for watching 😁👍
I"ve never encountered the Scottish Midge yet but I've had quite a few runs in with it's cousin the Northumbrian Midge 😆😆
😂 I'm sure they share lots of similarities and are just as f**king annoying!
your videos are a breath of fresh air amidst all the racket of the world, thank you for sharing ✨
Thanks so much for watching 😄👍
I watched your previous film yesterday and subbed before we'd finished watching. And today I've watched this film too. Glad to have found your channel as it shows the better parts of Scotland in a good light 🙏👍
That's really nice to hear Fraser, hopefully you'll continue to enjoy the videos 😄
Great ....
Thank you Marian 🙌
Grand vid. Love it 21c and hot. Cheer from here in the Rockies. Where it’s finally spring
Thanks so much for watching 😄👍

Thank you for the midge situational report! helpful!
I can't tell if that is sarcastic or not 🤣
@@HighlandWoodsman It was sincere. I asked you about them on TT, so this is helpful.
Enjoyed your vid'. Could feel the midge from here in South Wales. Enjoy your journeys. Looking forward to more of your videos.
Thanks so much for watching Allen 😄👍
Enjoyed this video, Scotland is beautiful.
Here in Florida it's 92f / 33c.
Thanks for watching! Anything over 15c is too hot for me 😂
Your scandinavian trip sounds great got to film your 9/10 day backpacking trip mate will be epic
Thanks Andy, I'm hopeful that I'll be able to 😄
Another great video. Loved the music at the start, suited the video perfectly.
Oh please video your little, not so little trip out. Should be awesome. Defo kit list video too. I look forward to your next one. Take care.
Thanks as always 😄
Iv had a few bottles of "the woodsman" dram and I thought it was ok.
Feedback to your questions.....definitely video and share your trips to Scandinavia (sounds awesome)and also kit loadouts would be interesting and good viewing also! 😀 👍🏻
Thanks Steve, I think I'm too used to my Laphroaig 😂 I'll definitely try my best to get a kit video out! 👍
I'm taking my lab hammock camping for the first time (she's slept in tents no problem) this weekend. I hope.we both fit 🤣
That's great Stu, hope you both had a great trip.
Awesome 🤛

Thanks so much I'm doing the exact area for a week and was debating tent or hammock!
Thanks for watching, hope you have a good trip! 😄👍
Nice Hammock setup...and great meal. All the best from Austria🤜🤛
Thanks as always 😁👍
As long as I'm seeing a hammock hang ill be watching. Do yourself a favour and swap out the nylon webbing with a whoopee system and some daisy chain tree huggers, so much better
A few people have said that and I'm definitely tempted. It's on the long shopping list at the moment 😄👍
new to your channel- love all the videos- super high quality and set beautifully in great locations.
Thanks so much for watching 😄🙌
Not looking forward to the midges this summer.. they get worse every year. People from other countries need to know how bad they are. I remember seeing a Canadian comedian saying he went to Scotland and they had millions of these little invisible wasps 😂
😂 that's brilliant!
The close ups of toue dof w/ thw midges...so cute! Sorry if it's a repeat queation bt is your bushbox the reg or small size??can't tell 'cause you're so big! And kit liadup wouls b awesome thanks for all the vids been learning a lot!
Thanks so much for watching 😄👍 it's the Bushbox LF in stainless steel 👍
@@HighlandWoodsman thank you for replying! gonna grab myself one for cooking+heat source so was trying to gauge the size. coming to the highlands to visit family soon and do a sup solo expedition (in the islands) so your channel has been super helpful. Keep it up, such good info and preservation awareness too!
Thanks so much Juliana, I hope you have a great trip to Scotland 😄
You would've made a good American
Is that a compliment Bob? 😀
As an American, yes it is@@HighlandWoodsman
Where does your dog sleep when your in the hammock?
He's in the hammock with me 😁👍
@@HighlandWoodsman nice!!! Doesn’t he get it wet and dirty though?
Just take steps to make sure they aren't too wet and dirty by the time you get in, just like you would for yourself.
Interesting how you refer to those pesky little biting insects. "If you … catch the MIDGE on a bad day, it can be horrendous." (23:39). Others in their comments say MIDGES, as I would too. And yet I'd happily use a singular form as plural when telling you that the curlew, rather than curlews, were back on the moorland hereabouts a week earlier than usual this year. It's a weird quirk of English, because it's not the same as 'one sheep - two sheep' or 'one deer - a dozen deer', which are nouns that never add a plural -s. Dropping the -s seems to happen with wild animals that come in herds, flocks and shoals, but I've never heard it applied to insects. 'The horsefly are biting with a vengeance today?' Nah. Oh, I dunno. Say it half a dozen times and it sounds kind of right. That means it's probably the go-to plural for woodsmen ...
😂 that's a very in depth analysis. It's something I've always said, perhaps it's a local thing where I am in the Highlands 😁
@@HighlandWoodsman May well be! It's hard not to notice such things after spending years teaching English to speakers of other languages - especially as you're such a clear and 'measured' speaker.
