  • 2024 Can Am Outlander 1000R XT P Test Review. If you asked all of the riders which big-bore 4x4 ATV they would actually want to own, the 2024 Can-Am Outlander 1000R XT-P would be the choice of most. The reasons are simple: it offers more mud protection than a Renegade, full utility capability for working or adventuring, and unquestionably more performance than any other 1000cc sport utility ATV on the market in its class, as proven in our inaugural 1000cc 4x4 Sport Utility ATV Shootout.
    The 2023 model year brought with it the addition of Can-Am’s Intelligent engine braking, new front end styling, along with dual LED front headlights. Unchanged for 2024, other than the color change to Hyper Silver & Neo Yellow, we felt it was time we reevaluated one of our favorite ATVs on the market to see how the machine has changed with its numerous updates.

      If we were talking about a 400cc-500cc ATV We might be a little more concerned about weight. As radio tires go, these are pretty light and on a machine. With this much performance we don't want to sacrifice grip. When it comes to making speed on a rough twisty trail, we would put our money on the Terracross.

    I will say this Can Am makes a great machine with a lot of power but to me it is not even close to being worth the money. Can Am like almost all other brands even Honda made it very hard for the average person to buy one. Because of this i gave up on them a while back. I gave CFMOTO a shot because of the price and the reviews have been good. I have had really good luck with mine and will hopefully get their new sport 4 SxS soon. The dealer i got mine from also sells Can Am and Honda. They sell about 5 CFMOTOs to every 1 of the other brands. • @ATVonDemand
      @ATVonDemand  6 месяцев назад +1

      We are assuming you cannot disassemble the shock to get to them. Most four wheelers that have shocks without nitrogen reservoirs are not rebuildable. This has been the norm since the beginning. Disposable shocks kind of suck on machines that cost upwards of $10000..

    Curious, why do you prefer steel racks?
    The universal response I typically get is unlimited tie down points.
    The reason I hate steel racks, they pack a good flat surface and thus in my experience, when your gas can flies off is not a matter of if, but when. Because with the lack of a flat surface, eventually wiggles enough for the tie down to slip
    The other reason, when I switch between yard work, hunting, and trail storage. Removing ubolts in steel racks is a test of ones patience.

    • @ATVonDemand
      @ATVonDemand  6 месяцев назад +2

      You nailed it. It's mostly the amount of tidal points plus Steel racks won't crack as easily if you sinch down on them in the cold. As plastic racks go these are among our favorites. You raise some valid points though.

      Pretty sure we cover that in the video and you didn't watch. There were zero mechanical updates so........

      @detroiter666 LOL. Outsourced parts, that was good. We have worked with chad for 5 years. I/we Is filmed and scripted the test. Chad was kind enough to ride and edit it for us. Not outsourced, He's a valued part of our team. The flow on this video was a little different. We figured we'd try it and see how it goes. Thanks for the feedback.

    90 percent of atv purchasers over buy according to their under ability.
    Machines like these are for higher experienced operators not unqualified riders

      True. A big bore single is more than enough for most riders. But people want what they want.🙂

    Why does "atv on demand " sound and look like dirt obsession ?

      We have worked with chad since their channel had around two thousand subscribers. He has ridden in a number of tests and our 1000cc shootout. We filmed him riding and scripted the review. He was the editor who put it together. We know it had a little different vibe but figured we'd see how people reacted to it.

      Sounds less robotic
      Sounds less scripted
      Sounds like dirt obsession
      Sounds fantastic
