Please don't call that number it's not safe to do so to extend your stay just visit the immigration office I'm a Nigerian and believe me it's not safe and when you are going to the immigration office have someone go with you a local if necessary let he/she do the talking we still have alot to do about people who do this in our public sectors May God help us. Welcome to Nigeria and enjoy your stay God bless you
Man. I wish I saw this before my trip to Lagos in May. 🙄😒 I stayed 30 days & everywhere I went there was someone asking "anything for me, ma" or "do you have something to appreciate me". I enjoyed my stay...definitely looking forward to visiting again...I just know how to better prepare for next time
VERY HELPFUL TIPS! MUCH APPERCIATED 🙏 I'm traveling to Lagos this December. It will be my first time traveling outside of the US and I'm soooo nervous but excited to. I'm trying to prepare now as much as I can. My fiance will be my "tour guide." I'm just mainly nervous about getting through the airport to find him.
I'm glad you found it helpful :) I hope you enjoy your trip too! Shine Your Eyes. Know that you're gonna stand out like a sore thumb lol, you'll be safe but the prices will raise for ya lol that's just how it works, It happened to me too.
Lol so many of us got hubbys and wifeys from there. I think I need to make another video on why that may be. I don’t think people realize 😅 I’m glad everything went smoothly for you. Did you enjoy your stay?
Yeah they literally had built the new terminal the day I was leaving. I didn't have the opportunity to experience it. I saw it though, from a distance.
I was there in Lagos last week and I didn't pay a penny to anyone. NIS guy asked me to appreciate him and I said I am Indian and I smiled.. and he let me go and said have a safe trip 😅
@@KingCease I Hope you are a fast learner. Nigeria is speedy, pacy, agressive, with great people and fast but we have Love, great food and thriving economy. But sometimes the learning curve of Lagos/Nigeria is hard for new comers, I Hope you are enjoying yourself or enjoyed yourself.
@@gamrpresidentLagos is a straight hell hole!! The airport is the worst airport i have ever been. I will never return to this airport with scammers and beggars. You are not safe In Lagos as a foreigner. I pray for anyone who goes there. Those people won't even let you through security to go home unless you pay them. I never seen so many shady security lines in my life!! Every one of them are begging for money.
Will never go back to that shady ass airport again. Beggars and Hacklers everywhere. From security to workers. Definitely the worst uncivilized airport I have ever been. Never again!! Extortion at it's finest there.
thank you for sharing,i have watched and read many peoples same thing that happens to them and say what a shame for this to still happen after the head of the airport says he wants to fix as this is a disgrace for all the good nigerians who want to have tourist and families into nigeria ,its time these practices stop so nigeria can get more tourist many do not want to go if they meet this crap at a airport surely these scammers can see that if not sack them ,for all they lovely honest people keep yourself and help others to do the right thing
@@kiradavis9156 do you have a trusted contact there? You’ll be fine. It’s a Les ring curve and an initial culture shock. But you just need someone there that you can trust. Or else you’ll spend a lot of money you otherwise wouldnt need to.
I don’t remember exactly, but it wasn’t anything significant. If I had to guess it was less than $30. But if you’re late on paying it, it’ll be a lot more, maybe around 250.
Airport is worst place to exchange your money. You can hire a private security company to pick you up from airport and pay them with dollars. Then exchange your money after you check in at hotel or Airbnb. Unless you have a friend getting you, hire a reputable private security company to pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. NO TAXI!!!!
Absolutely BS. I am Indian and I use Uber, Rider and Bolt when i am in Lagos. I have foreign SIM card and I have "roaming service" activated for Nigeria. So Stop defaming your country and if you hate Yoruba people that's your personal problem.
Safe? Sure if you keep it safe. I’m not sure what you’re asking. I kept my money somewhere where I knew it wouldn’t be seen by others. It was also safe in my hotel room. I didn’t keep a lot of money on me personally. Only enough for the day.
Nope they didn’t asked me for a yellow fever card or vaccination card and I didn’t take the yellow fever vaccine or Covid ,the they did ask me for my phone number lol 😂

There are a bunch with tons of reviews on google. You just need a driver unless you are carrying something or someone that is high risk…
I found this very useful. He was trynna scam you. Don't call him.
What are the recommendations for tips for your drivers?
Currency has changed since I’ve been there. At least 500 naira. 1000-2000 is good.
thank you, I'm going on February 7@@KingCease
When will they start using the new terminal?
I believe its open now but many airlines are still choosing to use the old one. I think it's more space in the older one.
They haven't started using the new terminal.....they'll start very soon.
@@francisosagie4043 is new terminal working now?
I have the international package through T-Mobile , will i still need to purchase a SIM card?
You should call T-Mobile and see if their service can work in Nigeria. I’m not sure.
Make sure tho! Especially if you don’t have an unlocked phone.
Already registered sim card is illegal
he stamped it 30 days.. why didnt he stamp it for 3months? and did you get that fixed
@@kiradavis9156 no I didn’t. I was supposed to ask for an extension . They likely would have approved it.
