Lucas Jade Zumann (born December 12, 2000)[1] is an American actor. He played Milo in the horror film Sinister 2, Jamie Fields in the indie comedy-drama film 20th Century Women and Gilbert Blythe in Anne with an E.
He was discovered by a talent agent when auditioning for a Disney talent search in Chicago at Paskal Rudnicke casting. His first foray into acting came as an ensemble member in a production of the musical Oliver! in his hometown at Music Theater Works (formerly Light Opera Works)[citation needed]. He then played a cameo in the Netflix series Sense8.
Zumann's first big role was in the horror film Sinister 2, playing Milo. He was also noticed by playing the character Jamie Fields, in the Oscar-nominated 20th Century Women, alongside Elle Fanning, Billy Crudup, Greta Gerwig and Annette Bening. He is now known globally as Gilbert Blythe on the Canadian Netflix series Anne with an E, and also portrayed Nathan Daldry/A in the teen rom-com movie Every Day (2018).

Agronsky he got angry at comments some people made about his girlfriend (and rightfully so, they were really mean) and he's been out of social media since but it's been only a week. His girlfriend also turned her account private. I think he strugles a bit with how overwhelming the noise can be, and of course that's normal and understandable but if he doesn't get a way to cope with it it could be messy.

That video was very rude and shocking, but I think it was a little because he was always getting shippped with Anne/Amybeth when he really just wanted to be with his girlfriend. That still gave him no reason to behave like that to Shannon or the fans, but looking at all of the other videos with Shannon and Lucas, you can see he doesn’t behave like that usually with her.

The fact that Lucas is being cancelled by so many people just proves the exact point he was talking about on his Q&A with his girlfriend. People are way too invested on social media and when it comes to a show the hype is all over the place. If you're playing a character who has a wonderful relationship (romantic) with another fans are all over the place and we know that there are people who love to harass the actors/actresses and without realizing it they get them tired or even hurt other people (in this case Shannon). We all know, whether y'all admit it or not, that Shannon has been harrassed by the fans who blindly ship Amy and Lucas or just harass her simply for being his girlfriend. You guys think he is not tired of that? That's exactly why he barely spends time on the media! He is not trying to pretend he's "super cool" because of it, he's just tired of the whole matter. And for the record, it's not the first time both of them say that Gilbert and Lucas are too separate people, he basically said in a previous Q&A "calm tf down" when talking about the show.

i get the people saying we can’t stan him anymore, i respect your views, i don’t like it either. Came here after watching the movie sinister 2. I had a crush on Jade in the movie.
I like Lucas as a person and think he is a great guy i just think we caught him in a “rude” state but everyone has those moments. I am sure he didnt mean to be “rude”, so not to call anyone out but the people who are saying he is rude are literally being a: judgmental and B: a hypocrite because EVERYONE and i mean EVERYONE is going to be a tad bit “rude” in some moment and you cant judge people based off of one action or one moment in their life.
