Just a couple of tips, when flaring a line a little bit of lube on the flaring tool makes it easier and a smoother flare on tube. When running a tube from something moving or vibrating (engine) to something solid it is advisable to put in a loop on the line so it can move without fatiguing the metal if the tube or loosing the connection.

Thanks for such a great demonstration. Take a Molsen’s out of petty cash as a reward. Having tools and knowing how to use them are two different things. I really appreciate the time and detail that you put into this video.

Hey Bill a little trick for Teflon tape in tight spots like that is to wrap some around the end of a pen and use the pen to go around the fitting since its way smaller. Good for all fittings.

Bet a 3/16 x12 or 18 inch brake line would have fit with little to no cutting and re flaring.

Yeah, I remember him doing brake lines on the Sierra. Quite a few years back my dad replaced the brake lines on his 2002 Tahoe (got rid of it earlier this year though because of the rear end going out again and all the rust... sold it to a pull and pay lot). He got a complete preformed set in stainless steel. Of course they still required adjustment because they're never exact. Was a bit of a fight too because of the stainless. A lot tougher to bend.

@@deathk26 02 to 05 I think, if I remember correctly. They had electrical problems they'd catch on fire inside. Under The dash or the ignition switch, I can't remember now. I've put out a few fires where the inside completely burned out.

I put that same gauge on my tractor and my oil pressure reads much much lower now 🤔 had about 40 psi and now 20 with that gauge. Curious what yours will do.
