I’m glad that a compromise was reached that allows people to hike down but still respect the sacred places in the valley. Hikers please be mindful thank you
Mules bite! Saw that sign in May. We didn't do the hike but the view was incredible! Talking to the older couple at the entrance was the best part. We sat down with them and talked for a while. Kind of sad but every day we took off on our next adventure we took a garbage bag with us. Saddle Road was the worst. We didn't expect to see this there on such a beautiful place. Mahola, for another great video and see ya'll next year!
Reminds me of Waipio Valley. We hiked down to Pololu about 10 years ago. It was very rainy that day, but it was still beautiful. Thanks for sharing this video.
Aww Pololu valley❤ my favorite place on earth. It to me is such a spiritual peaceful and unearthy place. Been there quite a few times and am always crying of happiness somehow when I am there. ❤️❤️
I appreciate all of your videos! We are headed there next week for 11 days. Your videos have helped so much in our planning. Just wanted to say thanks! And we are arriving on the 5th…one day too late for the 4th! I hate that we’ll miss the parade.
What camera did you use to record this footage? Also link to that 10ft pole for bonus points. Great video. We were on the BI for the week of Father’s Day and it was our first visit. We loved it.
Thanks for showing me a spot that really speaks to me. One time, I talked my husband into being there for sunrise. It was a special time we will never forget!
We went on this hike in 2012 and there was a swing. When we went back this year we didn't hike the trail. Love the Big Island!!!
Hard to believe it's been just over a year since we hiked Pololu Valley. Great area. Thanks for sharing this, was awesome to see again.

Absolutely stunning and what a great hike! 🎉🎉
Fresh Off The Grid is a great place just before the end of the road at Pololu for lunch. Home grown fruit.

Beautiful place. Another great video from 365 Hawaii.
Always love your videos thanks for taking us along 😊😊

Is the path to the bench overlooking the next valley no longer an option?
Kokua for the aina

I've been living in Polulu for 5 years now, my new home is absolutely beautiful. I'm happy to live away from the city.
