You're amazing! Most people would rather lose their left arm than share their trade secrets lol. Keep up the good work with the channel and your business.
I absolutely love Mahogany and Teakwood! I get mine from Studio Fragrance but I definitely have to buy more than a one pound bottle now as I'm incorporating it into my mens grooming line 😂.
I ordered Fruit Loops and Autumn Flannel from The Flaming Candle after watching this and MY GOSH are they amazing!!! I can't thank you enough for sharing this knowledge :D
I think I have almost all of these and I am not ashamed. 😊 There are so many fragrances I love. You have excellent taste and I would be so nervous to ask what certain scents were because I didn't want to seem like I was being a copycat.
Hi I’m super new to all this, I’m a dog trainer but love a quality, natural candle burning to make me happy & help eliminate doggie odours, we have 5 dogs (one pup!) love watching you. I’m starting to make my own candles for myself then as presents then maybe to sell when I’m too creaky to do dog sports! X
thank you for sharing this :) I’ve been having a really hard time choosing scents, dealing with nose blindness, getting sick of scents, trying to blend.. etc. this video encouraged me to stop overthinking, and reminded me that everyone’s nose is different and I’ll just have to see what sells!
I live in The Netherlands and based of this video, i ordered sugar cookie, fruit loops and autumn flannel and OMGGGGG Autumn Flannel, any handsome man should smell like this
I had to pause the video when you described the candle scent as having a nostalgic cereal smell. I immediately thought I would call this Saturday morning cartoon. When you said the name of the candle, my jaw dropped.
Irecently came across your channel as I've just (barely) begun making candles, and I appreciate sO much all your tips and tricks and transparency with your videos and your business!! I know a lot of people wouldn't want to share this type of information, but it's absolutely awesome that you do 🥰
Agree with you on the Cashmere Plum. What an incredible scent. I only made one candle with it since I’m still in the wick testing stage. Feel like I will never get past it! Grrrr. Thanks for your videos, so very helpful.
Thank you. Looking to start a candle business, but starting with making candles for bridesmaids boxes. I was looking a really good Jasmine scent and you had exactly waht I needed.
So impressed with your transparency and sharing your scents with us! Can't wait to place an order with Candlescience, I got a couple scents that I ended up hating and I haven't ordered since. Can't wait to launch my line! You've helped me so much, you're the main channel I've been listening to when it comes to my candle business ❤ thank you
I bought a candle from Pier 1 about 4 years ago and it smells EXACTLY like Cashmere Plum. They discontinued it. It’s my absolute favorite. It was called Sugar Plum. I thought I would never smell something as beautiful as it, then I found Cashmere Plum!!! Thank GOD for CS!!!
Thank You! Love Cashmere Plum as well, that one I couldn’t keep in stock , I also wish I would have saved it for a luxury line as I am growing and revamping my business, I absolutely love all of your videos!
I'm so glad I went ahead and ordered the cashmere plum. When I read the notes on the website, I could just feel that it would be a seller. Thanks for the confirmation.
Thank you for sharing your blends and combos. I'm just getting started in the candle business and you are a great point of reference! You're Awesome!!! :-)
Omg i tried coffee house and it’s too caramel-y for me! It’s so hard to find a true coffee scent, the espresso scent that everyone was recommending from Bramble berry made me so sick LOL
Yeah I know! 😫 I’m thinking about blending it with something else to bring out more of the coffee scent! I haven’t tried the one from Bramble berry but now I probably won’t 😅 I just recently tried peppermint mocha from candlescience and it smells just like coffee beans to me! (With a tiny bit of mint)
I'm good with blends. I mix all my fragrances. I just got back into making candles again since late January. I started making them back in 2015 and sold a good amount and one brand that started around my time was Otherland and they have deff grown. I learned making fragrance combos specially cause I worked along Le Labo. I need to join the youtube world too give some knowledge. Good stuff though 👍.
Thank you so much for share your best scents ❤️ I am starting to look videos about candle products because I would like to start my own business. I love it the candles!!! Happy New Year!! 🎉🎉🎉
Love the indigo rain scent! Was hoping you would talk about your Pacific Coast Highway scent, ordered that one about 2 months ago & absolutely loved it!!! Can’t wait to finish it & order another one 😍
thank you for this! I'm very new to making candles and am starting my research on best fragrances. I would LOVE to know how I can get a similar scent as Volcano's Capri Blue! does anyone have any ideas?
Looking to start selling candles and it's good that I'm finding oil recommendations from professional candle makers. When I first started my research for fragrance oils my first search results recommended the really expensive oils like Nature's Oil. My question is, why would I use Nature's Oil fragrance oils when there are quite a few other alternatives that sell at half the price?
I named my after the rain (we think alike ) but it’s another fragrance and in a amber jar . I don’t like the smell but it’s true to the smell after it rains !
Thank you so much for being so open and kind about your business. I’m starting my candle business and this video it’s so helpful. I do have one question... do you know a company that can customize fragrances for candles? I mean if I want an specific scent, where can I get that? I would appreciate your response!
I just placed an order for the Sugar Cookie Royale, White Sage and Lavender, Honey Suckle Jasmine, and Blue Raspberry Jolly Rancher from The Flaming Candle. Have you ever tried the Blue Raspberry?
Lol I just saw your new video and I did everything you said with out a thought. Feeling confident. Also thanks for the shipping one. I was literally shippping out my first shipments that day! If you'd ever like to try mine I'll send you some!
I recently purchased a medium-sized candle that had a nice scent to it, brought it home, it barely shared its scent with the room at first and after a while, no scent at all. I am wondering if they only add the scent to the tops of candles as a way of pinching pennies? hmmmm... so I was wondering, is it okay to add additional scent to a candle that I am in the midst of using? so would I add it to the hot wax after I was done burning it for the day? thanks for sharing.
I have Fruit Loops on the way already, lol, and Honeysuckle Jasmine was in my first batch of 1oz testers and the first one to actually leak in the box cause the lid kinda twisted off a little in shipping. I have White Sage and Lavender in my selection of scents cause a friend of mine uses it in her candles. The rest I had seen and thought about, I'll check them out a little later but I have a new batch of 32-1oz scents from The Flaming Candle. on their way, lol. I'm really excited about two of them, I forget the name offhand, but one is like Woodland Foliage and the other is like Woodland Forest. I've been working mainly with Candle Science, but I about jumped when I saw fresh cut grass in the Flaming Candle cause I'd been talking about a Men's Scent line for a while and that was always the first one I thought of. I usually always mix the scent specifically for the customer as a custom scented candle creator. I see each scent as a different color on my pallet to paint a scented picture specific to the mood I'm going for. The moving segment of the process is definitely a large chunk of the process and it's a toss-up what the throws are gonna be like, but I mix a small tester batch initially to get the proportions right before going big. It's hot out miss, but I love scented candles, do I always have a ready supply on hand whenever I want one 💚 Your videos have definitely the one of the prime sources of information for how I go about the process and your calculations videos have been priceless in getting me where I am today 💚💚💚 I work mainly with beeswax and have been pushing the limits on percentage and haven't found a limit yet. Word of warning though, as volatile as Eucalyptus is, be careful how much you put in our you'll hot that flash point and the whole candle will go up 😅😅😅
