Yesss @Kaimadeit , loved the chill vibes on that beat it fit perfect for me, thanks for sending it over. Anyone reading, go link over to this community artist if you have a second, drop the support. Thanks Kaimadeit
Really happy this one could connect and give that for your process - I'll be out here making these no doubt of that. Thanks for taking the time to drop the comment.
Really glad this one connected for you, I love the format of being able to gather stuff together and make a new story or new kind of sense from it. I think of it just like essay writing where you gather quotes, or sample culture in music, finding that small, exact piece of the original you want to use and taking it to make something else. Thanks for taking the time to comment and support - it's appreciated.
I'm so grateful for this channel. I do believe we are all going to make it, in fact I believe we already did just by the simple truth that we have been blessed with creativity and sensitivity. xx Godspeed
I recall Rick Rubin describing how the audience doesn't affect his work, as he is making art for himself then sharing what he likes. I'm interested in how you guys view the balance between collaborating with the audience and making art purely for yourself
the videos are getting better and better and I 100% relate with the whole first part of this video talking about finishing projects, releasing it, and starting over and improving consistently over time through iteration
That iteration point hits for me too for sure - it can be kind of hard because putting stuff out, when you don't think it's perfect, feels a bit exposing sometimes - but yeah that knowledge that another one needs to be started helps the process. Anyway, thanks for commenting with the support Layno - I see you out here, it's appreciated.
i appreciate your content a lot man. being an artists these days can feel like a lot. constantly being perceived and people making ideas of who you are based on an exaggerated version of yourself. thank you man. made me cry x
Thanks from France ! Tout ton contenu est hyper bon et intérressant, je le garde pour moi comme mon petit moment en fin de journée avant de repartir créer. Merci !
dope video man, enjoying the commentary you give. The pacing feels improved compared to long ago. just signed up to support on the patreon but i gotta say the part about finding a consistent format is such key advice.
Thanks, I've just seen you drop into the Patreon - know that it's appreciated. Yeah that note about format is one I constantly need to remind myself also, as my natural feeling is often to jump from one idea/format to another. Glad the video hit for you, and thanks again for dropping into the Patreon and supporting the video creation for this community in here.
@@creativemindsyoutube yeah feel like the content is worth supporting. So true about jumping from one format to another without letting time pass to see if the format is worth continuing or not. Excited to see what you have coming up :)
Yessss YaMinko, thanks for dropping into the comments on this one. Anyone reading this go check out this dope artist. Cheers man, thanks for following.
This video is beautiful from the quality to the content. Thank you for sharing your inspiration and perspective on how they've empowered you. I am working to grow my podcast audience, so this has inspired me to just keep going.
Thanks KevinScott, for taking the time to drop the kind words and support. Really happy these videos are hitting for you, it matters to hear it my side, cheers.
Appreciate that - trying to follow what the audience seem to want (not too quick cut, not too flashy) whilst slowly introducing a few new elements for 2024. Glad you enjoyed, thanks for taking the time to comment.
Yeah I featured him in a video way back, but I'm going to pull him in again because you're right, and the guy has some great interviews out there. Thanks for taking the time to drop the support and let me know the work connected with you.
Hands down my favorite video of yours so far... I know you do the Patreon but is there any chance you'll be offering RUclips memberships to your channel anytime soon?
Hey Kara - I know you've seen a few of these vids so really glad this one hit specifically for you. Thanks for the interest in the membership YT. I'm still trying to totally find something that works in terms of supporting this stuff, but still making me feel good about what I'm doing RE - independence. I wouldn't rule out YT membership being a part of that in the future, and I like the thinking. Thanks as always for following along and getting in touch.
purchased "steal like an artist" a few weeks ago & NOTHING IS ORIGINAL. EVERYTHING was inspired by something so use that. Of course don't plagiarize but make a better version of what inspired/inspires you.
Sorry but you could've picked somebody else but Virgil Abloh to make your point. The guy is pretty much a hack who knacked ideas and got hyped due to putting out his stuff in limited quantities. That's the opposite of being original - it's a played out marketing Scheme.
How to: Virgil Step 1: Visit Art school grad-shows and Blatantly rip off erything you see. Step 2: Spray paint (badly) on some ugly old white people clothes. Step 3: Have a famous friend with lots of money. Step 4: More grad shows = more ideas! Step 5: Inadvertently fit into the trend of big fashion houses hiring non-european looking Creative Directors. Step 6: Speak without slang. Sorry Nas x
Hey, yeah - glad you caught this video 'cause the comments put me onto this book. It's a dope one, very much sits within the vibe of what I'm doing and a lot of gold in there. Thanks for putting me on there, appreciated.

Man that Neil Gaiman clip at 14:23 hit different. So articulate and well spoken.
Love listening to Gaiman on this stuff - and yeah his voice is ridiculously well-primed for storytelling.
