La banda estadounidense liderada por Ben Bridwell regresa tras seis años de espera y coincide, casualmente, que "Things Are Great" es su sexto disco de estudio, un trabajo espléndido después de sus dos últimos álbumes mediocres"Mirage Rock" y "Why Are You OK". Todas las canciones fueron escritas antes de la pandemia y surgieron de relaciones personales rotas, de rupturas, así que en ellas hay contenidas un vendaval de emociones y sentimientos. Musicalmente es rock, con influencias tanto del country como del folk. Eso sí, desde la perspectiva de un mundo emocionalmente patas arriba. Esa singular conjunción nos trae un magnífico disco en el que Band of Horses recuperan esa magia que parecía perdida. La banda gira alrededor de Ben Bridwell (Carolina del Sur, 43 años) cantante, guitarrista y principal compositor, esencial responsable de la formación. De hecho Tyler Ramsey y Bill Reynolds, abandonaron el grupo y aquí han sido sustituidos por Matt Gentling e Ian MacDougal, lo que justifica también el sonido revitalizado de Band of Horses. Los sencillos "Cructh", "In Need of Repair" y "Lights" son el principio del fin de un proceso casi expiatorio para Ben Bridwell.
