    LYRICS:
Small talk with a registered nurse
Not to cry in front of people at work
That’s hard, hard, hard, at times you know
Get reminded of the earlier days
    End of April ’78
That was a long, long, long, long time ago
And you showed a lot of warning signs
You made your own situation mine
    Now your problem is mine
    You don’t want help
    You don’t need me
    You don’t look well
    And you don’t want anything
    You don’t want anything
Slim pickings when the weather is snow
    Pretty winded on a bicycle
It’s been quite, quite, quite, quite a row to hoe
A hot dinner on souvenir plate
The part of town where the money ain’t
But things are fine, fine, fine we’re on our own
    We don’t want help
    We don’t take handouts
    We won’t seek sympathy
And we don’t anything, we don’t want anything, we don’t
Get reminded of the earlier days
April ’78, long, long, long, time ago
You keep it bottled up inside and let it out from time to time
    Yeah, the problems mine
    I don’t want help, I don’t want counseling, I won’t go to therapy
    I won’t do anything

@@zachrawlings6523 we all have "control" to an extent. But there will always be unforseen things we can't control but only contribute to. Nobody wants to create anxieties. But for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. We all essentially create our own anxiety and struggle with every decision we make. I'm grateful for my anxiety and discomfort because it reminds me that things and times can change and that I can grow and maybe one day overcome that said anxiety

Heaving listended to that heartwarming song about 30 times I did now watch this video. I dont know if it was intended or just playful coincidence but to me it is a wonderful piece about not being able to see and feel things anymore and suddenly escaping to the past, where you could laugh, feel, jump - and fly like an eagle. This video stands in a line with Alphaville's "soul messiah", Mick Jagger's "hard women", Bowie's "where are we now" and Meat Loaf's "objects in the review mirror may appear closer than they are". There are many great songs in the world - bot only few great music-videos can really cope with the feelings transported in the music: This is one of them; I can see life's tragedy and joy behind the flickering pixels. The last scene with the grave on the chair is hard to stand because it's so damn true, you're gonna die if you keep clinging to the past - but may be you are there then. Congratulations!

You guys never cease to amaze me. It’s crazy how you always make me feel nostalgic and this song is no different. I’m so glad you’re still making new music

Again, I mean it when I say I am so proud of what this album became, the roots really show while keeping the sound fresh. Been a follower of you Ben since Carissa Wierd days, and I remember when you and Mat started Band of Horses. Gonna be spinning this for Months to come, thanks guys.

I've been loving BoH for years and years and years and i love them as much now as i did then. every album they have released except for maybe Mirage Rock correlated to what was happening in my own world, BOH has been the soundtrack to my life. they are one of my favorite bands well, between them and my morning jacket idk if i could choose between the 2. Window Blues, that song is felt deeply in my soul

Wow, I feel the exact same. Almost every album has correlated to a special or important time period in my life and reflected the things I wad going through at the time too. BoH is literally the soundtrack to my life.
