13:45 dude, this game is relentless, how is a human being supposed to dodge all that shit? I just fly over everything with Alucard.
That was probably the intention of the game designers. I HOPE.
Japanese version was easier. Konami was mad about game renting being popular in North America so they made it harder so people couldn't rent and beat the game fast while renting it. Japanese version of this game and the best version and the one the developers intended people to actually play and beat.
I imagine when people first played this back then, they must have thought "WTF!? I'm taking on Dracula already!?" 😅
Believe me, my friend had the exact same reaction! He was so dumbfounded, I just kept laughing while watching him play
And that’s why the Netflix series has Trevor nonchalantly assume that Alucard *is* Dracula
I thought that i was playing as Dracula at time and I didn't know that was his Son!
Fun fact: Alucard is Dracula spell backwards
I loved this game back in its day. As I push 45 this summer, I still love this game. In fact, I enjoy all things Castlevania except for how pompous and arrogant they made Simon in Captain N: The Game Master.
Which reminds me … who’s bright enough to make a Captain N video game for NES?!?
5:55 OMG THERE WAS STAIRS THERE I SEARCHED AGES WHERE TO GO LMAO
They are hard to see sometimes. I thought something was a ledge and jumped for it only to fall to my death a couple times as well.
All that and no damage to any player much respect!
Good run, I went through Sypha's path not I'm trying out Alucard's. Top 5 NES game for me.
Me too
24:22 God, this boss is almost impossible to beat without the holy water! And it really sucks that this level doesn’t give it out at the very end.
Gage Crawley I beat him without the holy water I just used the vampire killer
@@brandonmyers5448 as a man well should 🤝
"And it really sucks that this level doesn’t give it out at the very end."
That's one of the brilliant ways this series handles difficulty! It's better in the first game, but the basic rule is as you get further into the game, they start giving you the best subweapon earlier in the level. That way, you get a big reward for making it through the level without dying or changing weapon. It's like how the double and triple shot reward you for sticking to one weapon.
26:07 the original stage of castlevania....same look, same music, kinda makes u feel like its the first game again
DANG! All four routes without taking a single hit (and especially the Hard Mode with Trevor alone.) I bow to your mad skillz--you are truly a Castlevania goddess!!!
The number of hearts you pass up is giving me anxiety. 😂
Great play through, thought it would’ve been awesome if you finished as Alucard. Also, that scream a monster utters every time it dies if just disturbing, I love it.
Alucard went from a Side Character, to the Protagonist of SOTN.
Thank (or curse) IGA.
Conrado Javier Alucard is my favorite character in Castlevania. But I like his original form from Curse of Dracula, rather than his current one.
@@gagecrawley6223 his original form is trash, basically a discount Dracula rather than being an unique and well-thought character
@@wallacesousuke1433 but that was the entire point I would think. He is the son of dracula
@@boombox2ikik239 doesnt mean he should be his dad's clone, making him unique is one of the factors for his success
well the meeting with alucard was underwhelming. :p
Netflix's version sucks anyway. :p
@@Barbe well that’s your opinion. I don’t get why you say that, but I think it’s great as it’s own adaptation of the series
Vi agora a pouco o Alucard lá da Netflix

@@RileyJ3866A very loose adaptation.
@@RileyJ3866 yeah its good if you like stupid dialogue like "f*** you, eat sh*t" and every character giving intense amount of exposition every 2 seconds. The action looks cool though, the rest is trash.
Great walkthrough. I love playing Alucard (even if he is underpowered), so it was nice to see someone really make good use of the character.
28:29 that face is legit terrifying.
yargh!
Damn dude you’re good at this game!
Alucard left his sword and gear behind so Trevor could have the spotlight. I know the game wasn't made yet but Symphony of the Night proved that Alucard could take Dracula alone.
Then again in Curse of Darkness, Trevor could also do mixed martial arts along with wielding Vampire Killer.
"Alucard left his sword and gear behind so Trevor could have the spotlight."
What a ridiculous sentence, the things fanboyism & bias do. By the way, don't forget Alucard FOUGHT Trevor and LOST, and, in his own words, "was surprised by it", as in, he didn't expect to lose. He didn't "leave behind" anything or wish others to "have the spotlight" (LOL). It only _proved_ AND illustrated the fact Belmonts > Alucard (as long as neither is controlled).
@@RedHairdo I think Alucard was holding back or something
@@RedHairdo Oh, and your fanboy tripe is any better? Go stick to Netflix and Lords of Shadow.
@@RedHairdo he was holding back, he just wanted to test Trevor for the sake of joining him
The Dracula that is fought in Symphony of the Night is just resurrect a while ago so Alucard could take him a bit easier. Not to discredit Alucard but if he could take Dracula by himself he does not even need any assistances from Trevor at all. Through the entire series, while Alucard usually remains his lone wolf personality, he will never hesitate to unite with fellow vampire hunters to ensure success on defeating Evil.
I just beat this with Alcurard... and now to find out he can turn into a bat... lmfao what’s the input for that
press down and jump at the same time
if you want to start a new game with ALucard enter your name as okuda
You got his name wrong.
11:45 Netflix's Castlevania season 1 finale.
38:25 Castlevania season 2 finale
13:52 how did you get that bandage to do that? That happened to me once and I dont know how to get it to happen again. Oh nm I see now the holy water flame was still active when you walked over it nice.
You are one helluva player! 😲 👏 Bravo!
Weeey sería chido que les hicieran remakes a los juegos de castlevania como este así como le an echo remakes a los de resident evil
By the time I was playing this, Japanese kids were probably already playing Super Castlevania 4.
Dude you are so good at this game
A rather underrated jewel of the NES console and one of my favorite games. Am I the only one who thinks that the Frankenstein in this game looks a bit like Rudolf Hess?
Given the fact that Rudolf Hess was one of the Frankenstein monsters of Hitler I'd say the comparison is fair.
Cool dude!👍
I like Alucard's Path and Grant Path
I love this game, #1 Castlevania, better than Chi no Rondo imo
The best route is Sipha path but with only Trevor. Alucard path with just Trevor is impossible (level 7) and there are unnecessarily two alternative paths for level 6.
I hate how nerfed Alucard's attack is :(
alucard is actually the best character for defence. people notice hes not as strong as trevor but dont notice he can stay out of range of things trevor cant while still attacking. all the other characters need to use hearts for long range attacks. then theres his invincibility frames when transforming to and from the bat form and the bat form itself, which lets him avoid danger
Well, it's very long-range and wide-reaching for no cost, and his real strength is being able to totally skip difficult platforming sections. But yeah it's pretty rough. I much prefer how they handled Gebel (his stand-in) in Bloodstained
He's good for hitting slightly above and below him, too, making Medusa heads less painful and less of a problem.
does ANYONE do the sunken temple path? lol so far ive only seen one guy do it and he failed (he had sypha rather than alucard). well, i saw another guy fight the boss, but he didnt show the stage or the rest of the path.
thats awesome! links?
did he do it on his grant path? generally i end up taking grant down the path that leads through the sunken ship because his bonus areas
oh, okay, thanks a bunch
Ps5 graphics?
12:35 "Hey Coopy Coopy Coopy"
People kept saying he was underpowered, and I couldn't understand why. I played the game a bit, used the OKUDA code, and... He can't attack on stairs, he has a long recovery time, and he cannot use subweapons.
Alucard uses the stopwatch that stops time . 😂
beating up the mummies is the best part
classic , the tripple threat @24:28
How was this from the show like why Dracula or what did he(Dracula) do in here?(to make Alucard want to kill him?)(like watching the show)
The people kill his wife because she was a witch! And we all understand that, just the game i forgot how the story goes lol😆
The show was written by a guy who didn’t know what Castlevania was. He only did a bit of research. So it’s a very loose adaption.
11:49 the fight with Alucard
back then, he didn't back-slip
You uneducated brook .
That's called a backdash .
Alucard hasn't use a sword in this game and instead using a fireballs???
He plays how I play sotn. Hellfire spam.
13:39 this guy just doesnt learn!

Bah, jogar com Alucard deixa as coisas mais leves, aparentemente 😅
Fire
Alucards path is the hardest
Alucard doesn't have sword...fireballs in CV3..geez?!!!
you want so much for a nes game. and to defend game's honor... all character has a specific weapon and unique habilities... and Alucard as Dracula's son... its very common they decided to copy the principal Dracula movie... the fireball.
Fireballs > weapons .

Alucard design in this game is the worst he just doesn’t look like alucard at all
This is before he got redesigned.
Alucard is as useless as a sun-dried dog turd in this game 😋
He can completely skip platforming sections and attack from long range without using hearts.
Yeah…I never liked using him except to transform into bat mode…really awkward to use. 😬
