Amazing lady, Chiharu. Her strength to overcome cultural differences, her humility, her willingness to support her husband as at a hawker stall for long hours deserve our respect & salute.
Most people come to Singapore just to earn money and return home some day without any thought of integrating into the local culture. I will welcome Chiharu with my big open arms anytime because these are the people we want into Sg. It brought tears to my eyes to see the couple so happy. All the best.
It's so amazing that Chiharu-san was so good at adapting life as a hawker here in SG. I really salute her for being such a supportive wife. Not many women can do that. Even me being a Singaporean, I know that being a hawker in Singapore's weather is a killer. All the best for your business.
the way she kept stirring to let the ingredients marinate well with the rojak sauce is a well taught technique. it's what usually makes the rojak more delicious because the sauce goes into the ingredient, no shortcuts. charcoal is rare these days so this stall is special.
Wow, Ghib! Your guest, Chiharu, was featured in today's newspaper! They even mentioned your name in the article. It's a great write-up. You can see that your hard work hasn't gone unnoticed. Congrats!
i recently saw a youtuber eating hawker food in a very hot weather saying singapore is too hot to eat but still worth the experience. and i actually left a comment that, our hawker had to for the whole day preparing the food in this hot weather. Our hawker are really our national treasures...
It’s heartwarming that the mum sees the world with no division and very accepting of her Japanese daughter in law. I saw a lot of PRC online still spreading hatred towards Japanese… condemning people for wearing kimono at their Japan trip, marrying japanese spouse etc. it’s undeniably that japanese did wrong during the WWll but we should not be passing down the hatred. It’s all in the past, doesn’t mean we need to forget but we should forgive.
Because it is in the CCP's blood to brain-washed its citizens into hating other countries so that they will have no time to look into their own backyard issues created by the CCP.
PRC is PRC, In China there is of course more hatred as their history with the Japanese is more ingrained with bloodshed in their countries history. In Singapore the only kind of resentment would likely be from WW2 but most of the elderly have moved past that. Unless some of them were born in China and became immigrants here.
Truly impressive that she’s so down to earth, willing to work hard with her husband, respect! And such good looking couple, best wishes , and surely will patronise their Rojak when dropping by Woodlands. 😊
recently stumbled upon Ghib's RUclips videos and can't stop watching ever since 😅 I have to start the day with at least one or two of his videos to put a smile on my face ...I just love how Ghib banters with Chiharu and switches between Japanese and English so cute ❤❤❤
I really admire young hawkers challenging the norm, it's definitely not easy. Both Gordon and Chiharu, thaks for carrying on this tradition. Even if I stay in the east, I will find an opportunity to try your satay and rojak!
Sending my love to the lovely couple and your mother. Especially proud that you're willing to take on this extremely taxing job. Always told me kids we have to respect our hawkers the most. You're the reason we have affordable food. And you three look amazingly good. ❤
She's a gem Godon. Most would think of having a good and comfy life post marriage, even for our own Singaporean CharBoh.. Jiayou Godon! Kampareii Chiharu!
Wow, super interesting video!! From what I observe, Chiharu seems to fit into hawker culture so well! 😁 Hope to see more of such videos!! Love it, great job to all 👍🏻👍🏻 Really appreciate hawkers so much. A lot of hardwork people don’t really see 💪 Ganbatte!
Charcoal grilled You tiao for Rojak is very difficult to find nowadays in Singapore. It does give the rojak better taste and smell in my opinion. I might go and try it out next week after watching it.
Wow this is the most lovely young couple I have ever seen in Singapore. Godon is so gentle and humble, Chiharu is so brave and adorable. I wish them a happy life ever after.
They are selling what I love to eat, definitely will visit their stall. Kudos to their positive outlook & wishing them all the best. All 3 of them are good looking too, yes, mother in law is beautiful & she doesn't need any makeup. Amazing family.
This is so comforting and healing to watch! I really enjoyed till the very end seeing how Chiharu san and Godon are working so hard and even more excited that they are moving to their new home soon! All the best to this couple!
Yes, inflation has make hawker business very challenging. It is heartwarming to see both very hardworking young couple with supportive mum. Thank you for sharing the story.
One of the best thing is to wake up to this awesome video. Makes my day to see a very hardworking couple and a supportive mum. I wish them the very best in their future ❤
I was so surprised that Godon just started speaking Japanese to you casually! Imagine if he didn't understand when you said "he got a Japanese wife through the app" LOL this was so interesting and especially to see someone who is in the same situation that you were in (living with family + getting a new HDB)! I will defs go visit when I go to SG. Thanks for the video!
Extraordinary. Another VLOG deserves an award. Nail it Ghib, it's a great one. Godon, his mother and Chiharu share the same passion, I do feel the energy in them. It's heartwarming.
Chiharu is naturally beautiful, no need for heavy makeup, high heels or fancy clothes. She's sweet and friendly and hardworking. I wish this couple all the best in their current business and their future plans.🎉
Really love your videos. Everyone is so sincere and authentic. Such a nice Singaporean-Japanese couple. Take my hat off to them for working hard in such difficult conditions.
Loved the video (as always!!) It's great to see younger people keeping Singapore Hawker culture alive. Even though I was only in Singapore for 3 years, it still feels part of my soul and I still miss all my hawker staples. And also wth - Auntie look so young indeed. Damn good genes lol. I missed the Singaporean accent - glad that I still can listen and understand with no issues - English obviously... my Singlish is poor hehe One important point in this video is that Singaporeans are usually very friendly and helpful and it's nice to see that acceptance of non Singaporeans is the cultural norm :)
I love Chiharu. She is strong, hard-working, and devoted. She is really incredible. It is not easy for her to live in a foreign country, but she seems thriving in Singapore. When I get a chance to visit Singapore, I will definitely try to find her hawker stall. Good luck and all the best to Chiharu and Godon.
Congratulations ~ Gordon & Chiharu on your wedding & home purchase . Amazing for Chiharu to be so adaptable , kudos . 😘 Makes me wanting to go all the way there to eat their spread . 😋😋😋
So much conscientiousness going into the rojak presentation. Again, I’m comparing to the old uncle rojak at Rochor hawker centre last row facing Bugis street market. The rojak I enjoyed is splendid, nothing fanciful the sauce is more thicker in terms of density but much watered down to soak the ingredients mash.but I can see the effort in this stall. There’s much dedication to even crafting a delicious simple dish of rojak. Good job. 😊
It was much more interesting imo to see a Japanese person working in SG, (especially at a hawker!) than Japanese tourists trying stuff in SG. Thanks for this video 😀Would like to see more like this.
Great job Ojisan! Like yourself, Chiharu San puts her money where her mouth is by marrying a Singaporean and settling down in SG, presumably for good. It's different from tourists who come here and do a travelogue or expats who worked here for like 5-7 and start babbling off like an expert when mostly they spend their time in their expat circle. There is nothing more Singaporean than knowing our hawker fare inside out. She top it by being one. Hat off to her. Take a bow Ojisan. Both of you are truly son and daugther of SG now ❤
wow... Chiharu was featured on Sunday times life section. I read the story.....not only this, Straits Time mentioned about Ghib YT about her. well done to both of you.
Oh gosh, Ghibs videos are always a pleasant surprise to me❤. The last one, a campus hidden in a garden. Now a young pretty Japanese hawker😲! Personally, I think it is double challenging for a female foreigner to leave their comfort zone to settle in a totally new place. The person must have a superbly good attitude and mindset on top of being highly adaptable. Didn't know there's such a "gem" stall in quiet marsiling/ woodlands which is near to where I am staying. Aiyoh I love rojak leh and altho I don't take meat (hence no satay) but seeing the food itself makes me drool🤤😋.... Thanks to Ghib san, hope to make a trip there one day.
Well done Chiharu! You’re a true champ - all the best to you and your husband. Will visit your stall the next time we are in Singapore. Regards from Australia.🇦🇺
Amazing lady, Chiharu. Her strength to overcome cultural differences, her humility, her willingness to support her husband as at a hawker stall for long hours deserve our respect & salute.
Chiharu has a great attitude and personality. She will thrive in Singapore. Thankful to have her here.
Loving couple! Super nice that Chiharu is adapting to culture and life here. Hope she gets her PR fast
Lai liao lai liao😄
Most people come to Singapore just to earn money and return home some day without any thought of integrating into the local culture. I will welcome Chiharu with my big open arms anytime because these are the people we want into Sg. It brought tears to my eyes to see the couple so happy. All the best.
Good luck n great prosperity to you 2 young hardworking couple. N may yu get your dreams come true,,,yourPR. N YOUR CAR.

Very down to earth young couples. Every cent they made is throug toil and sweat. Total respect and wish them full of happiness.
the way she kept stirring to let the ingredients marinate well with the rojak sauce is a well taught technique. it's what usually makes the rojak more delicious because the sauce goes into the ingredient, no shortcuts. charcoal is rare these days so this stall is special.
She is super super cute and her hubby is super super handsome. Above all, they are so hard working. I like their positive attitude.
Wow, Ghib! Your guest, Chiharu, was featured in today's newspaper! They even mentioned your name in the article. It's a great write-up. You can see that your hard work hasn't gone unnoticed.

And they don’t hate Russia, which had war with china in past 6/700 years, and still occupied million km2 of china land
Agree with You. Descendents Within the Same Family Shouldn't Bear the Full Responsibilities of their Ancestors' Respective Wrongdoings.
Truly impressive that she’s so down to earth, willing to work hard with her husband, respect! And such good looking couple, best wishes , and surely will patronise their Rojak when dropping by Woodlands. 😊
Well say.... simply awesome !
Pity her , what a loser husband, should find someone better
recently stumbled upon Ghib's RUclips videos and can't stop watching ever since 😅 I have to start the day with at least one or two of his videos to put a smile on my face ...I just love how Ghib banters with Chiharu and switches between Japanese and English so cute ❤❤❤
The mum reminds me of Ghib's mother in law... both so genuine and sweet
My exact sentiments....! 😊
Yeah, totally agree 🤣🤣
Her voice too 😊
Total respect. It takes a lot of hard work running a hawket stall
i've been in love with their satay and rojak ever since i moved to woodlands 5 years ago! what a surprise to see them featured here!! 😊
Come to Indonesia for other variations of Rojak or Satay...
A very lovely couple. Full of positive vibes. Very inspiring ❤
I really admire young hawkers challenging the norm, it's definitely not easy. Both Gordon and Chiharu, thaks for carrying on this tradition. Even if I stay in the east, I will find an opportunity to try your satay and rojak!
Chiharu's energy is amazing. Living in a foreign country is not easy. I am fascinated by her lovely smile. I will go eat there soon.😍
ty for showcasing the next gen's hawker stall, it really keeps our hawker food alive and let the world knows these are Singapore's culture and staples
Sending my love to the lovely couple and your mother. Especially proud that you're willing to take on this extremely taxing job. Always told me kids we have to respect our hawkers the most. You're the reason we have affordable food. And you three look amazingly good. ❤
海外で頑張ってる日本人の姿は刺激になります!
今後もこういった動画を観れると嬉しいです☺️
全然信じられないよね。

That's an attractive couple!

Amazing ! Really must support this Japanese Lady 👍 Keep up the good work !
It was much more interesting imo to see a Japanese person working in SG, (especially at a hawker!) than Japanese tourists trying stuff in SG. Thanks for this video 😀Would like to see more like this.
Thanks!
11:27 i am amused at how amazed and confused Uncle looked, seeing and listening to her talk in Japanese.
Great job Ojisan! Like yourself, Chiharu San puts her money where her mouth is by marrying a Singaporean and settling down in SG, presumably for good.
