Hi all! Sarah here ☺️ Thank you to everyone and especially CNA for this feature ❤️ I truly appreciate all the kind words, support and encouragement! I am happy to continue to do what I do and looking forward to see ya’ll when you drop by! 😄
This Nonya stall is my family's favourite. We would like buy takeways like 3-4 times a week. The owners are very nice people - especially the father Leon (Sarah is very polite too). They are very honest people doing an honest job. Their food is delicious and really down to earth.
Bring nonya food to hawker centre is a good idea. For most people, it is a bit expensive as a hawker food. But, comparing to restaurant, it is reasonable. I wish her success in her business
Well done, Sarah, no success without sweat, blood, and tears. You had finally made it to the route of success. Congratulations to you may your business prosper to great heights.
👍thumbs up, Sarah. many young hawkers just want to do trendy food. we need to keep heritage food alive. a popular Teochew Satay Beehon stall in Redhill is also being looked after by the owner's son. it's nice to see young hawkers wanting to continue their family legacy & do it with passion.
Sarah has such positive vibes and with such supportive parents and sister, she will succeed! May I know the opening hours of the stall and which day are you off? Look forward to trying it! Thanks
thank you for the encouragement! yes, I am grateful to have a really great support system ☺️ we’re open 11.30am - 2.30pm and 5.00pm - 8.00pm (or until sold out) and closed on Sunday & Monday. See you soon!
We should only call them "Hawkers" after 2 years of operations in a hawker centre.. So Sarah deserved the title of a "Hawker" since she survive for almost 3 years now. Good Job!
I stay tampines and occasionally will walk over to pasir ris hawker to eat. This stall, wild olives (western) and prawnaholic (prawn mee) are the best options there. Used to have the reimundo congee also v good but closed down so sad. Anyway, it's rare to find peranakan food!!! So very happy to have this store here 🤓
People do not see all the hard work and long hours running a hawker food stall. People also do not see the high rental and ingredients costs and how difficult it is to make a profit.
I love the idea of making nyonya food accessable and reasonably priced. I wish there are pre mixed rempah powder/ paste export for overseas food lovers! Once in a while, i can find kefir lime leaves but not all ingredients.
I stay west but i will take my parents go all the way to this stall to support her and treat my parents some nonya food. Indeed not common to see nonya food at hwaker as its usually more expensive as its labour intensive. Also nonya food definitely sell well as my grandmother also sell nonya food pre covid. She got covid and retired after long term covid.
I'm from Singapore but moved to NYC 30 some years ago, dishes you made sure looks delicious but wondering why you would use packaged coconut milk where the natural coconut is so plentiful and easy to get there, makes a really big difference. I can't get real coconut milk here and have to settle for the ones from Thailand. Happy for you, not many are ready for hard work.
Poor hawker at that food Center especially the levers two so call hipster cuisine. NTUC shd look over again of how to make the hawker Center more people, normally only the ground floor a lot crowds.
imigrant chinese man married malay woman and get child with new identity, and make mix culture, Mix food = peranakan (child) peranakan food is more malay food style and some modification follow chinese taste
Those who are willing to work hard in s'pore are bound to do well and earn high wages. On the other hand, there are those that don't take education or work seriously and end up with low wages. They then blame everyone except themselves. They're a burden to the country.😂😂
it is so unhygienic to wash the chicken meat in the washing sink!! yucks! to think that her dad is ex chef fr a hotel! I won't patronise this stall. Will ask my frds cols and relatives not to too! thanks for the video. if not we won't know how they actually handling the raw chicken meat!!
Bacteriae are 'killed' during the cooking process. By right, there is no need to even wash the chicken. Just like the wearing of gloves may not indicate a higher standard of sanitation, maybe we, on our part, should refrain from making assumptions that they do not maintain acceptable hygiene standards nor spread anything without first confirming our 'truths'
For take-away customers or for mass-catering orders, may I please suggest that your customers are encouraged or rewarded to return the plastic containers for reuse. Because less plastic is kinder to the environment and for future generations. Seriously, because most takeaway F&B outlets in Europe have stopped using plastics containers.
Hi all! Sarah here ☺️ Thank you to everyone and especially CNA for this feature ❤️

Are all the sets spicy? Can ask for non spicy serving?
@@Unteroffizier mostly spicy, try other food may be.
@Unteroffizier there is a non spicy set! The ayam sioh set and some sides are not spicy too!

Go Sarah go.. i will visit your stall on my next trip

If she opens a store near me, I'm in so much trouble when I look at my scale 😅
The food here is amazing, Sarah is such a sweet lady.
What a wonderful young lady. 😊

I am an overseas Peranakan and this feature made me want to visit Sarah next time I go back!
Clapping for this smart and dedicated young lady! 👏👏👏 She has inherited the priceless fortune of the family.
Have tried and really liked it…highly recommended if you are around Pasir Ris! Keep up the good work Sara!

Awesome food my friend!

loving these hawker series!
Very fair prices for Peranakan food. We need to get over the idea that eating at a hawker centre should cost +/-$5 and under.
I stay tampines and occasionally will walk over to pasir ris hawker to eat. This stall, wild olives (western) and prawnaholic (prawn mee) are the best options there. Agree about the congee 😢
Waaa i wanna go to try it as i'm a Peranakan too must make it there to support
Me too. Will travel there some day to support. I love peranakan food. Well done, Sarah. God bless
What an inspiring young lady! I will be sure to check out the store when I am in Pasir Ris!!
Wonderful young lady..being a hawker is really not easy. but if that is your passion..ganbatte.
So lovely daughter father ❤
Great program and I would love to eat this Hawker food stole. Great spices and fresh ingredients + everything made with passion. Keep it up
Such a loving bond... Nice!
People do not see all the hard work and long hours running a hawker food stall. People also do not see the high rental and ingredients costs and how difficult it is to make a profit.
This looks yummy, I hope to try it some time! And how does Sarah's dad looks so young?!
yes, please do, looking forward to serve you! ☺️ I have no idea too, blessed with good genes 😂 hahaha
I love the idea of making nyonya food accessable and reasonably priced. I wish there are pre mixed rempah powder/ paste export for overseas food lovers! Once in a while, i can find kefir lime leaves but not all ingredients.
Yes, it is affordable and not necessary to be cheap.
Tried it before. Food is great
I love Peranakan food. All praise for her to work so hard for the stall and continue to persevere. Terima kasich.

HAHAHA thanks Emer!! 😊
You Go Girl !!
thank you!! 💪🏼💪🏼
Will give it a try.
Do not need to explain why the food is expensive. You only cheapen yourself. The price is what it is. You deliver value in the product.
Well Done!
Looks amazing ❤
8.20 okay la.... western also close to that range...
Where is the hawker centre so I find your nonya cuisine, yummy 😋
Blessed with Gd Health cum brisk business plus Joy always……. Fighting!!!
Do they have ayam bush kerluak on the menu?
Yes they do but I think it is only available on the end of every month. Do check with them to confirm. It is delicious.
Hi, yes we do! we do it on the last week of the month - Thurs, Fri and Sat ☺️
I live abroad but coming to SG anytime soon. Can you tell me the address of your stall? Thanks and hope to sample your fare soon.👌🏻

It’s at Pasir Ris Hawker Centre!
hope you grow, and open a stall in the north please
I don't agree, but she maintain quality, I respect quality.

Spicy food cannot be cheap
Customers should learn to wait patiently if they like good food, it's not a big Mac.
Nyonya food is from Malaysia or Singapore? Let me guess, its a Malaysian food. Correct me if i am wrong.
Is the stall open daily?
Hi there! we’re open 11.30am - 2.30pm and 5.00pm- 8.00pm (or until sold out) we’re closed every Sunday & Monday ☺️
Why more than 10% dislikes for this video?

Not a singaporean here. What is peranakan means? is it chinese? Malay? Or Indian?

Where is this hawker?
Pasir Ris hawker central
I thought she is going to say ‘I’m thankful that… my Dad helped me from the start….’
Only housewives have time to cook, time consuming and tiring 😂😂

But no gloves while preparing the ingredients…?
Gloves on only when handling cooked food items. Ingredients before cooking can be handled without gloves.
Actually gloves is not clean n hygiene u think..
When gloves on u don't wash hands as often compare without gloves..
it is so unhygienic to wash the chicken meat in the washing sink!! yucks!
to think that her dad is ex chef fr a hotel!

For sure they have 2 sinks. 1 sink especially just to wash the chicken.
I was very distracted by the heavy fake lashes👎🏻.
