Glad vol. 4 is finally being reprinted. It’s been a gap on my shelf for awhile now!
These are some of the absolute best spiderman stories. I ever read.
Besides for volume 1. This is my favorite of the silver/Bronze Age.
The Gwen Stacy storyline is one of the best ever. Plus the introduction to the punisher
This was the reprint I needed was getting sick of that gap between vol. 3 and 5.
This volume has a lot of iconic storylines. I am glad to have finally gotten a copy since I missed out on the initial printing. I hope that Marvel will release Volume 6 soon.
Must buy for me. My kids will one day thank me since I'll be avoiding the spoiler cover.
Omar all of your reviews are excellent, but this review is a 10/10 you can tell you have a lot of respect and love for this era, I am also happy to see this reprinted for those who needed it.

Omar, can you please help us tell Marvel to make another round of reprint of Uncanny X-Men Omnibus Vol. 2? I couldn't get my hands on one and the resale market is asking for close to $500 each. Ain't no way normal readers can afford that. 😔
Uncanny x-men omnibus vol 2, should be out October of 2024, this year. I know what you mean $250.00 plus on E bay for a copy, which retailed for $100.00.
I love this volume, Gerry Conway wrote some amazing stories on his run. This vol has my first ASM comic i ever bought #124 THE MARK OF THE MAN-WOLF. I loved it so much that I bought the Book and Record set of the same issue in 74’. Awesome review Omar, can’t wait for you to announce Vol 6 and hopefully a Web of Spider-Man soon.
Just need vol 2 reprinted so all the small spines can match. Hopefully soon.

The one on the left has more bright, saturated colours. It pops out more but then some people have a problem with it since it strains the eye more, might be the reason Marvel decided to tone it down a bit if not cost-cutting or cheaper print manufacturing. I'm more in favour of it. 🕷🕸❤💙❤

Same and I hope it fills the gap between 5 and the Roger Stern omni...seems like a lot of issues, but this was almost entirely in the 17 page era.

This had my favorite runs of spider-man from when I 1st started collecting when I was a kid (started around issue 100 which was another great run).
I already have this omni but I really enjoyed your comments in this video.

Thanks for your efforts on this one Omar. In 1972, I purchased my first six Marvel comics including The Amazing Spider-Man #112. This Omnibus contains the stories and art that impacted a 10 year-old to become a Spidey-fan fifty years later. Would you know what sort of chance a Marvel Team-Up Omnibus might have in becoming a reality? A volume 1 of MTU would make a great accompaniment to this Omni.
Kinda glad it has the "updated spine." That little picture down there and the smaller text. It'll match my volumes 1-3 &5. I guess OBVIUOSLY it'll match my volume 5, lol( _Pretty sure ALL volume 5s have that newer spine_ ).
Anyways, pretty excited to get this. My CGN pre-order copy's supposed to be here by next weekend. I went with the standard. Not really a fan of the DM for this one.

Peter Parker eyes being blue color sometimes is annoying. I know they were like that in the originals too but they should be brown, that's the right color. They should have fixed it in these omnis. By the way, great review Omar!
What is completely insane is: why did Marvel not make the DM cover of #129? ASM 129 is an iconic cover and considered to be one of the top 5 Bronze age heavy hitter books, the others being IH181, WWBN32, ToD10 and MS5. Bizarre decision from them.
Looking forward to this arriving. I thought volume 3 would be my last, but once I actually had a chance to read it, I enjoyed the stories so much that I wanted volume 4, but it was out of print.

One of those times I wish I could have the direct market cover. The iconic cover to ASM 135 is 100 times better than Frank Cho's cover (whose style lends itself more to a retro cartoon style than a this scene of pathos).

Great review. I feel like I want this but I just can’t get into 70’s comics. However this looks like a great collector’s item.
I'd be picking this up (along with Vols 3 and 5,) if they had a Vol 2 in print right now, or at least up for reprint in the near future. But as it is, I'm not sure I want to get Vols 3-5 and just have to wait an indefinite amount of time for whenever Marvel decides to reprint Vol 2 to continue my classic Spidey reading.
If Marvel synced up their reprints of the longer omnibus series and put a whole omnibus line out all at once like how they're reprinting the Silver Age Avengers stuff this year, I think that'd be far better than just putting volumes out one at a time at random intervals.

I have this exact dilemma with Uncanny X-men. The disregard Marvel have for the fans is terrible.

Omar, the next time you talk with “the fine folks at Marvel”, maybe you could suggest a DM variant for the spine of silver age omnibuses. I’m sure there are a lot of us who would prefer a choice of which spine we get.

But hey, at least we got my whale of ASM omni 4.
Finally back in print! There's been a spot for this book on my shelf for awhile now.
Picked up volume 5 after seeing it on sale for only 50 bucks surprisingly. Hope I can pick this up for a good price in the future and fill the gap. I'm guessing the later volumes are more likely to get that cheap since there's probably more demand for the first few volumes? Who knows

This vol 4 has been most wanted for such a longggg time! I would have been ok if they had killed aunt may...i never understood why an aunt was looking 80yrs old!
The page where Peter tells Mary Jane off actually felt real! I read the reprint of that issue and it was unbelievable!
This was my most wanted Spidey omnibus for quite some time, I will finally have the 5 volumes and I can't wait for volume 6.

Love that they do these Spider-Man omnibus but the alternate covers of these Spider-Man omnibus have been so boring and poor On their most important and best selling character should have excellence as covers I’d be happy if Alex Ross was commissioned to do all non direct covers like Avengers vol 2 which is excellent

Good thing, Spidergwen is an different universe and isn’t related to this “fixed point” at all.
You need some schooling, my man. You def have your moments, no doubt. But you really skimmed over some major shit. I know this because in the 70's I bought every one of these issues off the newsstand each and EVERY month...... vivid memories! I READ THESE STORIES and I was absolutely CAPTIVATED by them. You kinda went over everything in a cursory manor. And you missed some serious key moments. Example: you diminished the impact of THE JACKAL. The fact is, the Jackal was instrumental -- massively -- to the story arc of the whole clone thing which lasted nearly a year... the Gwen Stacy clone etc.** Really** important. Yet you made it as if the Jackal was just an unimportant sideline joke! I do appreciate your video though. Thank you.
I try to avoid spoilers ( I know these stories are decades old) but it is someone ‘s first time reading them.
