I thought of an idea that what if Zamusu came back with other versions of Black who stole other bodies, including future Gohan. I think it would have been creepy to see all out favorite heroes as Zamusus.

For all the people saying it wouldn't make any sense for Zamasu to choose Gohan. It could have because they could have written it to make sense. It also makes more sense narratively, Gohan has more connections to that time-line than Goku. It would have pushed current Gohan to train and would have been more impactful on Trunks and his world.
Simple way for it to make sense. As Zamasu questions Zuno, the latter makes an offhand comment about Gohan surpassing Goku multiple times, which leads to Zamasu then asking about Gohan. Zuno explains everything and how Old Kai unlocked Gohan's potential. Zamasu then gets more pissed finding out a god gave mortals divine power they shouldn't have Poof now it makes sense.

I feel like goku black arc was wasted. When black first appeared there was soo much hype, build up, and questions. It escalates and escalates, the fusion was pretty much a way to write of zamasu with zeno. Moro arc was great. One of the best. Black arc should have felt more like Moro's, and it should have lasted longer.
The thing is Gohan Black is real. In Super Dragon Ball Heroes, we meet Gohan Black fighting Trunks.(I’m not entirely sure this is canon but he does exist)

He found them and wished to become more powerfull to become on the level of gods. His wish was granted but it came at a cost he had become power hungry. He wanted revenge he killed the androids. But he became even more power hungry he lost his sanity he no longer cared. He finished the time machine himself and used it to go to Trunks timeline. He found Trunks but he wouldn't care he saw Trunks die so he knows it isn't his Trunks. This Gohan would gain more power with each kill and how stronger the enemy was the more power he would gain. Trunks couldn't fight his own master he couldn't. Bulma would die and soon Goku and Vegeta would arrive. Goku had trouble fighting his own son. Trunks had trouble fighting his master. Soon Future Gohan would achieve SSJ rosé. Bc this Gohan never unlocked ultimate. In the end future Gohan would prove how powerfull Gohan could become by beating Goku and Vegeta. As Trunks would be the one to kill his own master. This is what should've been instead of Goku Black. Or a Goku Black who lost everything himself would've been cool to. Zamasu needs to know how powerful Gohan is and know who he is… Gohan didn’t even appear in U6 Tournament arc, show how powerful he is.. so no it would not “make more sense”, though if he did appear in Tournament maybe but he’d need to do something pretty amazing during the Tournament to impress Zamasu. Zamasu need to know who some is and they need to be strong before he takes their body.

There was a story made by Generations Defender about Goten Black... It was him witnessing Universe 7 losing in the Tournament of Power and getting erase by Zeno and then Zamasu saved him from getting erase because when Zamasu visits earth to observe them, Goten met him and he was nice to him and treating him kindly... Then after that, Goten vowed to destroy and kill Goku... The story still continues but so far the plot of Goten being Black is better in that story
No , I think they should have not mad a dark version of anyone of the main characters, they should have made a original look and made just be the embodiment of all villains defeated by all the main characters before ,

Gohan Black is my favorite what if scenario for this arc. One because gohan has the most latent potential out of all the fighters on earth by a longshot so if a zealous god like zamasu could harness it to it's full potential, you could have an opponent that poses a bigger threat than Goku Black and who knows maybe even a divine version of the beast form could emerge making him far more dangerous and forcing goku and Vegeta to fuse early. Second having trunks fight someone with the face of his dead master would not only give him immense ptsd, but also potentially make him feel guilty that he wasn't strong enough to save him and feel like he came back from yhe grave to haunt and torture him. Third it would definitely hurt goku having to fight someone who's wearing his son's face, who would have to face someone that has far more latent potential by a longhsot and could grow stronger just from getting angry enough. And lastly, it could actually motivate to train more cause if Frieza was wakeup call this could definitely drive him to get stronger so even more so he could actually protect those that he loves.
Makes a lot more sense than Goku Black. The Goku version just seemed like a very quick and cheap course of action, but lacked the depth of thought as to who the surrounding characters were in the arc

Beast Gohan is not a mystery at allllllll. Its blatantly clear and was hinted at wayyyy back in super. Gohan always said, he was training and he was going to achieve a form of his own, his own path. Gohan was training ever since he lost to frieza. He was goku blue levels in the tournament of power. He then continued to train in secret after that. A REAL fight was all gohan needed to get over that hump and get the new form.
No gohan black is the wrong change. It should have been baby gohan. When baby chose goku as his final fight he dropped all sense of banter he had with vegeta. It was the wrong choice. Plus baby admitted it gohans body was better.
Zamasu wants to keep fighting with both hands so Gohan is automatic turn off. God with only 1 hand would be bad for his ideal world. Yes he can use the dragon balls but remember its only 1 per wish for the super dragon ball so he would end up delaying his plans and knowing Zamasu just the thought of using (mortal) future Gohan with 1 hand that keeps on losing to the androids would disgust him. Another thing is its suppose to be issues of Gods and mortal using Gods abilities. It actually doesn’t make sense. Zamasu needs to know how powerful Gohan is and know who he is… Gohan didn’t even appear in U6 Tournament arc, show how powerful he is.. so no it would not “make more sense”, though if he did appear in Tournament maybe but he’d need to do something pretty amazing during the Tournament to impress Zamasu. Zamasu need to know who some is and they need to be strong before he takes their body.
then you write the arc or 2 before it different. it could have absolutely made more sense with forethought. This is a fictional show, they could have written it anyway they wanted to make it make sense.

This is very easy to solve technically and that person is Zuno he knows everything and if Zamasu had asked about mortals with great potential Zuno could suggest Gohan and Broly the two have great potential and Zamasu might be tempted to steal Goku's son's body as a punishment for the Saiyan and maybe he could end up knowing Future Trunks' history since he went in his timeline and knew about his master

Goku black(Zamasu) always talked about how mortal actions angered him which alllwed him to reach the same heights as vegeta. Knowing Gohans potential and rage, they prob wouldn’t even need to fuse.

There was a story made by Generations Defender about Goten Black... It was him witnessing Universe 7 losing in the Tournament of Power and getting erase by Zeno and then Zamasu saved him from getting erase because when Zamasu visits earth to observe them, Goten met him and he was nice to him and treating him kindly... Then after that, Goten vowed to destroy and kill Goku... The story still continues but so far the plot of Goten being Black is better in that story

Gohan black would have been more dangerous due to being a half Breed and get even stronger faster through even small amounts of training and their rage boosts so yea would have been more interesting but also dangerous

Gohan is that one character that has basically touched alot of lives. To see him go rogue would more of a shocker. Especially if he turned Gohan Black on his own will.

The black arc could’ve been saved if they used future gohan instead or goku black didn’t fuse & just murked the other zamasu instead before going SS3 rose or something
Gohan Black is my favorite what if scenario for this arc. One because gohan has the most latent potential out of all the fighters on earth by a longshot so if a zealous god like zamasu could harness it to it's full potential, you could have an opponent that poses a bigger threat than Goku Black and who knows maybe even a divine version of the beast form could emerge making him far more dangerous and forcing goku and Vegeta to fuse early. Second having trunks fight someone with the face of his dead master would not only give him immense ptsd, but also potentially make him feel guilty that he wasn't strong enough to save him and feel like he came back from yhe grave to haunt and torture him. Third it would definitely hurt goku having to fight someone who's wearing his son's face, who would have to face someone that has far more latent potential by a longhsot and could grow stronger just from getting angry enough. And lastly, it could actually motivate to train more cause if Frieza was wakeup call this could definitely drive him to get stronger so even more so he could actually protect those that he loves.

Makes a lot more sense than Goku Black. The Goku version just seemed like a very quick and cheap course of action, but lacked the depth of thought as to who the surrounding characters were in the arc

Beast Gohan is not a mystery at allllllll. Its blatantly clear and was hinted at wayyyy back in super.
Gohan always said, he was training and he was going to achieve a form of his own, his own path. Gohan was training ever since he lost to frieza.
He was goku blue levels in the tournament of power. He then continued to train in secret after that. A REAL fight was all gohan needed to get over that hump and get the new form.
No gohan black is the wrong change. It should have been baby gohan. When baby chose goku as his final fight he dropped all sense of banter he had with vegeta. It was the wrong choice. Plus baby admitted it gohans body was better.
Zamasu wants to keep fighting with both hands so Gohan is automatic turn off.

Yes he can use the dragon balls but remember its only 1 per wish for the super dragon ball so he would end up delaying his plans and knowing Zamasu just the thought of using (mortal) future Gohan with 1 hand that keeps on losing to the androids would disgust him.
