8 minutes in and its another box (wah wahs are pedals) that you need a 4 year degree for... I bought the Eventide Rose after hearing it here, BUT its too hard to use. There are 2 ways to do manuals, and both ways should be done...1: Tell what the dials and switches do. That's how the Rose, and from what I've seen, most, if not all other manuals are laid out.. 2: Tell how to do something, which dials and switches you use to get a certain effect. That would work much better for me... No reason why both approaches couldn't be in the manual or 2 manuals for each seperately.
I have a 4-year degree, and I still don't get anything out of the manual... lol... I agree with you... Just please tell me what I need to do to use the dang thing...
I figured it out without a manual, it's not rocket science, wtf The knobs are even labeled. It has a quite intuitive interface that I appreciate, janky would be my Walrus Audio R1. you guys sound like illiterates or have problems with following simple directions
I just picked up the X-Space. It's good but not incredible. I run an HX Stomp board and this is better than the built in Line6 ambience verbs but falls short of an Empress or Big Sky for sure. IMHO it bridges the gap between the higher end small form factor pedals like Neunaber etc and the big bucks boxes. For $299 USD right now you get a lot of pedal.
I don' t know... You get a lot of very cool sounds for $299. I really like the swell, where you hear the initial attack and just the reverb swells. Lots of good fx, and not too many gimmicky ones. How can you doubt anyone who has that kind of fashion sense.
Yeah but maybe you’re like me who tried helix plenty of times and just was not feeling it, and don’t need all their products and just wants reverbs to complement an analog board.
I like the screen - readable from the floor, no one’s screen will compete with phones ( so Bluetooth would be good ) and touch screens, in aspect ratio, are a sketchy spares future supply choice.
Fragile paint job, but the rest is quite solid, yes What pedals have similar features to what you find in the menus? Ignoring the cab simulator. I don't think most people will dive into the menus often, maybe a couple of times, and then stick to the main controls the rest of the time. Furthermore, some of those features in the menus are normally "hidden" in other pedals when present and require that you read the manual to figure out how to set them or you will never get it.
Am I the only one who wants to see stuff like that as Rack gear? I hate it to glue devices like that to a tray in order to put it into the rack... Probably I am too old: never got the point of the ease of handling regarding pedal boards - if they have the measurements of a king-size bed. But there is a new year: in 2022 I could be the lucky guy who is able to replace his old Microverb4 with something like this 🙂
I found a working KORG A3 with guitar card-II in it by the dumpster, go figure. But I’m interested in rack stuff now too. Up too date gear must be awesome. Base on space a 19 x 8U and a Helix with 2X MOTU UltraLite mk5, the A3 for keyboards and guitar, some cabinet management and what else?
What do you think is the reason for not reaching the upper class reverbs, the quality of the algorithms or processor limitations? If it’s the algorithms then maybe they should come up with updates in the future.
Awesome X and The Xtacles get all frisky dingo for these pedals. Is Elon musk, Xander crews, will the X drive be there in X time? Will They groove with the X vibe? Stay tuned for the next exciting episode of HP and The X pedals.
Kick drums should often trigger ducking to add emphasis to the Boom, when the gate closes on the snare 🤘🏽. I really should get his “how to hit stuff with your computer course” or whatever it’s called . My old drum loops are pretty stale. And my e drumming is wholey inadequate for anything besides annoying my wife and neighbors. Happy new year RaxFx 🤘🏽
Interesting point: if the sample rate is higher than needed, you will introduce additional white noise. You can't hear it (if you are not a dog), but it is there. You are right about the marketing: it is physics: you need two samples in order to accuratly reproduce a frequency. Not more, not less. So 48K is more than needed, 96K is for the dog and 192K is for advertising. Great thing about the Fourier Analysis is, that it is proven physics and not an opinion...
@@derived-doom okay I barely know anything. But isn’t the target a digital signal resolution high enough that software-hardware driven granularity is clocking faster than auditory nerve ending refresh rate. And once you’ve cleared that there is no possibility of human detection (other than know an amp or effect doesn’t sound exactly like that)? Note: There may be higher resolution required at higher frequencies as those require multiple sound wave hits to trigger a “positive” to the brain (the “hairs” for higher frequencies seem more susceptible to white noise).
The idea is very cool but the execution... ehhhh. It could be a very cool product but need to polish it first. First of all, why needed 4 pedals when all of them have the same hardware? If there is a USB recording option why no headphones out? Software integration and plugin cool, but please IK rework the UI/UX. No need to recreate the actual gear's look. Make a clear nice UI. Now everything is tiny and hidden. Work on the UX. Make things easy to access. Why do you force me to use a heavy plugin when I just want to use the gear without amp sim and other virtual pedals? So, overall all cool, but unpolished and unfinished.

Jesus dudes, pick a new hobby. This thing is not that a complex. Maybe because a Bass player?

Great sounding pedal. Great playing. Also, that guitar is fantastic!

HI - all 4 pedals together cost about the same as a Helix Rack or Board - are they really worth it?
Thanks. I forgot I was thinking that too. Gas
Yeah but maybe you’re like me who tried helix plenty of times and just was not feeling it, and don’t need all their products and just wants reverbs to complement an analog board.

For this price range I expect much better spring reverb and shimmer.
They went with features over quality in an attempt to stand out. Understandable. I got mine with a nice discount.
Nice to see IK Multimedia branch out.
BUT would rather go for a Strymon

Psychedelic...awesome.
Instant Yawning Man vibes. I quite like this pedal :)
Nice pedal..... Perfect I guess not but I could find use for it for sure.
Aaaaalter, wo bekommst Du die Klamotten immer her ;-)

why tonex doesnt have 24/192 rate?
could be better modelling right?
No, you wouldn’t hear a difference there and the processing would make it way more expensive.
What do you think is the reason for not reaching the upper class reverbs, the quality of the algorithms or processor limitations? If it’s the algorithms then maybe they should come up with updates in the future.
I thinks it’s the programming, not the hardware

Please do the drive next :D
Look more like they imitate the Eventide pedals than Strymon. Even the names are similar. The eventides are great pedals but pricey.
I have the eventide space and it's unbelievably good. Best reverb algorithms I've ever heard.
What was that in the first few seconds of this video?😂
remember when every snare need a gated reverb?

The bit rate is so high its at the speed where you start to get problems if its not done right. 96 would have been fine. Marketing.
you mean sampling rate... but rate is 24. Bit rate is responsible for dynamic range, sampling rate for how exactly the frequencies are captured.
Interesting point: if the sample rate is higher than needed, you will introduce additional white noise. You can't hear it (if you are not a dog), but it is there.

Bit rate is the sampling frequency x the amount of bits per sample. But you're right, sampling frequency was what I was addressing.

Woah coming in a Strymon pricing, I cannot possible see how these would sell when you have Strymon at the same price?!?

Nah mate strymon is definitely more expensive
