I am simultaneously amazed, horrified, and jealous. Amazed that this works, horrified by the amount of hot glue, and jealous that I didn't think of it.
I mean for $20 it’s still pretty cool. You could take his idea and make an all metal structure and make everything secure and the accuracy would even better
awesome..👍👍 but few queries sir 1) In the sketch , these stepper motors are given 60steps per revolution so *step_angle* = 6° which is considerably large 2) inbuilt stepper.h library is used , so no microstepping capabilities... then how do these still able to draw with considerable accuracy?? An insight will be appreciated 👍
Very nice and informative video, but i have 2 questions as follows, 1) If i want to add Z axis with 28byj-48 stepper motor how should i do? Where can i connect that 3rd motor on Ardiuno UNO? 2) Can i use spindle motor instead of marker pen to convert Plotter in to engraver? if yes then how? and which software i have to use for same? Waiting for your reply.
Bro we made that one large that is suitable for A4 sheet.....i want to know how to set home positions for that cnc..... Once the home position was disturbed how to set it back again ??? Please tell me........
I want to build something small for years allready. Yes - this thing is ugly but you can learn a lot from it. You can make it more complicated - to learn a software that will generate proper Gcode file and after that execute it with Gcode sender program. I think this is a good little machine. I will try to make a cutting plotter (I have 2 big stepper motors). If you know the basics for the software - it's not hard to make a good mechanics. :) Great job!
The coiling of the wire around the motor coil is not a good idea you can induce noise onto the wires that may effect it but great ideas and quick build.
people with not succeeded , try these tips they will end up with success for you (01) if some errors coming after few attempts of code uploading to arduino, - disconnect arduino from pc ,restart pc and connect back, select port and board, then 1st try blink program then your codes, its always error free if you upload codes to arduino without connecting L239D + servos and step-motors,after code upload connect all as picture (02) check step motor with diode test mode of multi-meter for good connection of both phases separately.then for Ohms value of each phase (should be near 10 Ohms ) (03) check proper connectivity between step-motors and L293D, POWER SUPPLY, servo motor and L239D with multi-meter (04) now you have essentially check step-motors (X &Y) with step_motor test for both x & y axis separately, if only this shows back and froth movement you can proceed (05) those who getting scribbling like drawings "no desired out put"-more commonly lack of power supply- always give 5V, 2Amps (not any other)external power supply via L239D motor shield, if still your problem is there check 4 ends of wire connecting pattern from your step-motors to L239D if still problem there change your arduino codes for following places given bellow XflatMax & YflatMax - 150, change it to 100 smooth out put will give if we slow down the pen speed @ XsetSpeed & YsetSpeed -10000 change it to 200 give your comments with us,good luck!
most of Arduino CNC writer machines used servo motor in left side of the pen of pen holder, but in here you used it in right side of the pen so after uploading standard Arduino CNC_Code pen up and pen down movements should be changed (in your this model)? isn't it? what is the change that you done in Arduino CNC_Code that you are using here to avoid above problem.
Has anyone replicated this? It requires insane amount of skills and time. Milling, wood cutting, Arduino, breadboard, PCB, stepper motor, servo motor, concept of belt and pulley, 3D printed parts, fans, software... The cheap design makes it VERY hard to achieve precision with hot glue, and thereby unbelieveable amount of planning and worksmanship. Seriously, anyone who can do this can earn more than $20 in less an hour... it's only good for video making.
Do you have a step by step procedure on how to make it? And a semantic for the breadboard on where are going to conmect the jumper... Hope you can reply.. Thank you. We badly need it ASAP for our final exam...
Hi sir... I tried tis plotter...I had used arduino Nano with 28bjy 48 stepper motor with uln2003 driver..I had programmed with the code which u gave in discription..the problem is that the stepper jst rotate in only one direction and it doesn't rotate on anticlockwise direction..wat can I do help me please
Hi buddy, very creative!, Can this equipment be made on a larger scale?Which area of work is finally at this table? What types of tools can be inserted as spindel?
Bro , for me , code is uploaded, program runs , Motor also works . But i couldn't get the output. Stepper motor vibrates but not spins correctly .. please help me out .
Congratulations with the design, I have a question I use the same software so far so good but my X axis and Y axis are connected directly with the steppe motors axis , what should I change in the software to get the same result, now everything is very very small pictured Can you or someone please help me Please Kind Regards
sorry but I do not appear to pass it to g code and install the same version as you and everything, another problem when I put your drawings my sevo is like crazy but if it goes up and down but not where it is please help me
Is it possible to show us microstep TB6600 driver Arduino connection with the drivers by the three motors with endstop buttons with relay to stop and run the drill please showing this in video or photo please ? cnc machine
I have a question as if it was not a problem I can ask for a schematic of the mechanism of the dimensions of everything because I do not and I am starting to build such a printer cnc plotter
You great! I'm also making one inspired by yours :) but I can't understand how you wrap the fishing cable around the steppers. Can you give me some clarification? Thanks a lot!!!
Hello, I liked your video and I have a question to ask you, did you use 28BYJ-48 engines? because I have 10 engines of that I try to use it for a cnc but I lose the moment to try it, you can tell me how much is the (step / mm) of the X, Y, Z axis because I am 64 per losculo and loses Step probe with others but it does not work well that (step pulse, usec) and (acceleration, mm / sec ^ 2) do you give? Thank you
The arrow keys do not jog the cnc on mine. I cant figure out why. Each arrow key will only step the motor one single step. Any help would be appreciated.
good project i like it My cnc is not working yet, my cnc size is 150X150mm but when he is working always exceed the size limit and not plot in area? how to justify it? please help i need your help
As someone who likes to build on a budget, I really enjoyed watching this!
I am so perfectionist, and I am dying seeing this, but you my friend are a genius. Thanks for sharing this.
your a genious i never thought of using wire and wood as linera guides good job man
Glue everywhere, that's definitely my project :) nice vid
🤭🤭🤭
Good luck... 😇
The best DIY ever. I was admiring and smiling the whole time.
You are a genius and especially the king of the glue gun.
Bravo it's really great.
I am simultaneously amazed, horrified, and jealous. Amazed that this works, horrified by the amount of hot glue, and jealous that I didn't think of it.
Martin Heermance i've now a 3d printer so the amount of hot glue will be less in the future haha.
And not a single measurement was made. You are amazing!
look alterno haha nope sorry :P
Great the project is simple and cost effective... A great learning project for school kids...
cnc plotter is not for school kids
XD it is a printer noob not a toy for children
really really cool, with a indelible pen and a few tweaks this could draw on cd/dvd labels, smartphone covers and so on
The accuracy on this is going to be pretty bad but it will be super cheap to build.
12458 SSE accurancy is pretty good if you use a smaller pencil. And the build costed me around 20dollar so its very cheap
pcb cnc milljng
I mean for $20 it’s still pretty cool. You could take his idea and make an all metal structure and make everything secure and the accuracy would even better
U made this ?
Did you say this comment before watching the video ? The conclusion was not bad at all. People learn and make it better.
Rally cool. I'll try to build it myself.
2d plotter
Sir, can you please tell that how did you connect the copper wire to the stepper motor ?
ingenious. DIdnt know someone could make such a good CNC with such an inferior parts.
Valeu... Ótimo projeto, vou montar. Só um detalhe, você deveria especificar no desenho o pino do servo pino 6. O restante ficou bom.
Fez?
Woow nice man!
the way you get it done, even with the minimal stuff
(Respect!)
greetings from the Netherlands!
Rob.
This is what I've been looking for.
Could you please specify the dimensions of the wooden blocks you've used for the frame work??
Actually impressive, considering how you made it. Thumbs up.
very good, congratulations, your video has a great quality of explanation introduced in your scenes
Very good project! and the music too! Saludos desde Mar del Plata, Argentina!!
Hot gluing everything in place is not something I would do but......I like your style.
Its the quickest way to put something together haha
This is really cool! Your ingenuity is awesome! Ingenuity on a budget even....which is really really cool!
jimbobillybob1959 thanks man!
Dude... that was a dirty job. Loved it!

Easy arduino projects, going to try in mid semester break, my 1st comment on youtube videos. Thanks man
SUBHAN ALI thanks! if you get stuck somewhere i would love to help you out

Thank you for sharing this. What a cool prototype!
Very nice video. Helped me a lot finding new projects I could create. Was really struggling finding a nice payable project.
Ga zo door!
You sir are Glue Gun Sharpshooter!
Just what I was looking for... great video.. thanks for the codes
Bro we made that one large that is suitable for A4 sheet.....i want to know how to set home positions for that cnc..... Once the home position was disturbed how to set it back again ??? Please tell me........
Ratan Somesh i Just uploaded the example code for the stepper, when it reached its home position i uploaded the cnc code in it again
very very creative man... Thumbs Up....

magdanoz88 i will update it with 3d printed parts soon and make it more accurate and clean. this was more a tight budget project
Very nice, its on my favorite.
Whats the thing you used to connect the signal wires the black one on the arduino ?
grate work bro verry verry help full vedio thank you ..... ilike hobby make a cnc or ploter
The coiling of the wire around the motor coil is not a good idea you can induce noise onto the wires that may effect it but great ideas and quick build.

I aggree!
there is nothing on this site

i would really appreciate if you can help me with "micro servo"; which model was used in the model ?

Best tutorial ever !!
Tanks very much master, good..
Very Very criative !!! Congratulations
The demonstration at the end of the video is accelerated, right? As I know, these stepper motors are desperately slow. Anyway, great job!
Yes they are slowly I maked one but slowly too, You can find it's pictures in my chanel than I'm preparing to exlain how to build it.
Great work
Good for low budget
Do you have a step by step procedure on how to make it? And a semantic for the breadboard on where are going to conmect the jumper... Hope you can reply.. Thank you. We badly need it ASAP for our final exam...
Nice Man. Great Project !
after all the circuit arrangements why the the motors don't start ...only one motor vibrates with humming sound? thank you
parabéns pelo projeto! bem criativo!
hello sir my name is tejas. will you please give me the cnc plotter full circuit diagram in image or by video.

Hello, Great project .I have a problem. how can we edit a printer writing document? How do I increase from 0-40mm to 0-150mm?
虽然木头的不是怎么好看,但是这才是DIY精神
wow! nice work man
looks great thank you for the idea :D

sir which motor is used here and why its having 4 wires and one more thing can we use simple 5v motor drived by L293D motor ic
Great work. I just finished my build. But having some problem. I can't open the grbl settings and the arrow keys doesn't work. Please help.
I like the bearings what u use! :))
what is the distance of y-axis block from the x-axis block, i mean its not in the middle of the x-axis.....??
Great project!
Are the printing-parts of this video in Realtime?
I have a couple of 28byj-48 (5V 1/64) with uln2003 driver but they much slower...

What is the distance between the holes in the wooden piece of wood.
Did you get distance between holes
hello sir
your project is good and creative but can we get more axis speed plz help me

hola buenas : una consulta esta maquina sirve solo para dibujar o sirve para cortar si uno le pone un bisturí???
hey man! that's pretty damn cool. what kind of drivers are those? I'm guessing I can use arduino mega 2560 for this??
which one is the stepper driver? plz help .im trying to make this but i cant find it.
Is it possible to create a gcode to draw diagrams on a PCB without a stroke, so that it would trot with one line?
Great project

tienes que dejar presionado por un tiempo
Interesting. I like it.
servo is on 6 pin
this is so cool project. but ı dont understand why you put a fan over there ? ı will try this machine should ı add the fan too ?
how is conect thr servo?
muy bien!! el software funciona a la perfección, ahora solo mi maqueta :)
If i've never really used Arduino, do you think this project might be too difficult as my first one? Thank you!
