dickheads on the internet's logic: Doing what I love for a living = prelude to a suicide Playing any kind of physical sport for a living = living legend, best human in the world
Ive always thought japan was beautiful. As far as "no life" If ppl want to have opinions about what life is or is supposed to be thats cool but to think its supposed to be that for everyone thats where u lose me. Idk why ppl even think like that it seems heavily insecure to me
THIS is what a gaming site/network should be focused on producing, we want to see what the pros and even your everyday gaming amateur have in common with us and how we can relate to them beyond the love of gaming Great work IGN, and to the filming team, superb shooting 👌🏽 More of this plz.
Thanks! toco toco tv gave this video to us so we could feature it on our channel. We're huge fans of the work they do and hope to work more closely with them in the future. Glad you enjoy this type of content as much as we do.
God give some respect to these pro players. Stop with the no life comments, makes no sense. Youre a professional gamer, therefore you gotta practice a lot
This guy is the reason I started to like and watch pro gaming. After I watched EVO moment 37, I was looking for matches that were as hype as that one. But I was looking matches of Fei Long since I am a huge Bruce Lee fan. I found some videos of players like Fuudo and Mago, but it was Fuudo's Fei Long what attracted me the most. I looked videos of him, including his matches of his virtua fighter career. When he won EVO in 2011 (SFIV) and 2012 (Virtua Fighter). Then, I learnt about KOF and how big was my country, Mexico, in those competitions. Right now I'm more KOF than SF, but I still watch Fuudo's matches. I was shocked when I found out he was already in his 30's last year.
Jeje yo tambien soy de mexico y me gusta la ecena competitiva de los juegos de peleas , actualmente disfruto sf V con el Capcom Pro tour , saludos desde Coahuila 😄✌
We're huge fans of toco toco tv and they game us this video to run on IGN. We're glad you like it, because we want to continue supporting creators who make awesome content. Hope to feature more videos like this on our channel in the future.
Even though I haven't followed the FGC tourneys for a while, Fuudo is one of the Japanese players I do respect. Interesting how he worked at Dengeki with the streaming show and his roommates, while showing the Topez arcade with Gunslinger Stratos. Cool he lives in Ikekbukuro, the place where the popular Durarara anime takes place. When I do visit Japan, if I stop by Ikebukuro, definitely will visit Sunshine Dori, Saint Topez Arcade and the tonari market or whatever it's called. The meat and food looks so good. Only complaint in this video was the subtitles blending in the background in some parts so I couldn't read it unless the background changed and was clear. Good video IGN, more of these.
I picked up street fighter 5 a week ago to play with my friend. Honestly I think he can be world class if he played everyday. I feel that I'm getting better and better whenever we fight, but I haven't beaten him. This game made me appreciate fighters and the work needed to read and get into your opponents head. I've lost over 150 matches with my friend, and while it can be discouraging, I hang my head high because life is about winning and losing, and getting better.
This video was a breath of fresh air. Knowing a little bit more about our favorite Street Fighter players outside of the ring brings us that much closer to the fighting game community.
Keita Ai A.K.A. Fuudo, neat documentary. Man's a highly respected player especially when it comes down to the Virtua Fighter series outside of Street Fighter games etc.
I find it astounding how many people watched this video of someone who has turned a hobby into a successful career, just to say 'Get a life' or 'Get laid'?!...
Fuudo is a God in the FGC and plays most everything he touches at a very high level. I had the honor, playing him last year and his reputation holds weight. I thoroughly enjoyed the documentary!
This is the most interesting thing I have seen from IGN for a long time. It would be interesting to see the lives of other pro players from around the world. Keep it up IGN! Good job!
Thanks IGN for this. I really been thinking as of late about going to tournaments & competing. I need to train and breakdown the game like the guy in the video did. It would be dope to win money just by what winning tournaments.
Being a pro gamer is mentally taxing as opposed to the physical portion. People shouldn't sell gaming short because it gets more complicated than a game of chess.
Being a pro gamer takes real skill, both mental and physical. It takes real hard work, dedication, and passion. You need to have lightning fast reflexes and reaction time, and know the ins and outs of every environment to succeed. Pro gaming does have a cerebral/strategic side as well. They are athletes and many are far more entertaining than so called "real" athletes. Just look at Pewdiepie and other let's play type gamers. Personally not a fan, but it takes skill to play games, provide real time, hopefully interesting commentary, and edit footage. Why are gamers turning on one another? Shouldn't we unite to take on the Anita's and Judd's of this world?
Eck he does what he loves for living, that itself has better life than most ppl, sure it maybe not earning much money, but at least i think it is better life than hating ur job although has more earnings.
people here saying hes a no life but gaming is his Pasion.. Also no one mentions how beautiful this city looks even more than NY city
Shh, let them feel good about their lives, mmkay?

Awesome documentary on fuudo!

People need to stop issuing such bright white text. It's unreadable at times.
lol true
the original video has the captions with a black background (including options other than english). It seems IGN changed it themselves lol.
I thought I was the only one annoyed by it. I almost just stopped watching it, but I didn't because Fuudo is one of my favorite players.
What? I actually think bright white text goes well with a bright white background.
Wrong character.
This is cool and all BUT DO NOT CALL HIM AN ATHLETE
jon he's an athlete.
The Infamous are you stupid hes not
The Infamous Incorrect, athlete only relates to physical exercise. We don't have chess athletes...
he is not an athlete stop.
aquaglow1 he is moving his fingers that's physical exercise.
i wish america still had arcades!
I miss them too :(
Dude nice profile pic arguably one of the best consoles of all time.
DatGameCollector those were good times. I didnt go alot but it was always fun when i did

this is awesome! More documentaries pls
This video was a breath of fresh air. Knowing a little bit more about our favorite Street Fighter players outside of the ring brings us that much closer to the fighting game community.
超懐かしい。また日本に住みたいなぁ!
Great documentary though. Keep 'em coming! I never knew much about Fuudo, but after watching this, I want to cheer for him more.

Tfw he and his wife are expecting a kid in May this year
@@MrVince329 🙌🏿🙌🏿 go Fuudo! Also, e-sports has garnered a much bigger audience over the past 4 years. Win, win
Fuudo is a God in the FGC and plays most everything he touches at a very high level. I had the honor, playing him last year and his reputation holds weight. I thoroughly enjoyed the documentary!
Fuudo's voice sounds like the cool character or the narrator in an animé.
great video ign, i'd love to see more!
This is the most interesting thing I have seen from IGN for a long time. It would be interesting to see the lives of other pro players from around the world. Keep it up IGN! Good job!
It was very nice to see a little more from Fuudo! I would love to visit Japan's arcades someday!
Well this was a refreshing, quality made video!!
The music in this documentary just added to it's excellence. Thank you. I am an American player and this is very inspiring. A+
This was so genuinely so interesting,
great video! fuudo has been one of my favorite competitors since SFIV, moar plz.

Thank you ign. Fuudo is one of my favourite pro gamers, More of these please.

The Life of a Street Fighter Pro
Life not found
EliteAaron hey, making money doing what you love, doesn't seem awful.
EliteAaron Lmoa, WOW
EliteAaron lmao
The time you spent doing that you enjoy is not wasted.
so these guys arent real street fighters?
Yeah i was surprised that his first Games were KOF 94, Fatal Fury, and Art of Fighting, i'm disappointed that he's not playing KOF anymore :(
I think you didn't get what he was trying to say.. ^^
Raketenmann lol i kinda got it but i worte it anyway x)
Tupacstole Mybike Tupac stole my music.
KOF became utter crap, especially with KOF14. It only hols in international competitions because the entire series has waves of fans.
When was the last time IGN brought out anything good like this? Hmmmm
Thanks IGN for this. I really been thinking as of late about going to tournaments & competing. I need to train and breakdown the game like the guy in the video did. It would be dope to win money just by what winning tournaments.
WTF??? Street fighter pros have lives???
OOOH you find That surprising???
malthani00 WHAT NOO WAYYY?!
mohammed hgf how is spendin 8 hours a day a good life lol
prob better than yours
He's obviously joking people -_-
it's a shame that the subtitle font has white border, it blends in with bright background sometimes
Fuudo and Tokido are the most consist performing players
1:14 okay.... Gotta know. What anime is that?
Michael Ingco Zero kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho
Wow IGN can actually make videos worth watching, rather than their usual click bait shite
Can i have that beat at 3:43 though?
I can hardly read the subtitles in a lot of parts of the video...
there is one on. daigo also
Great work but some subtitles go out way too fast.
Does anybody know the songs? I know it says they're from 2080 music
White subtitles on a bright scene not good Bros. Use the force next time.
What's Fuudo drinking from that giant cup at 09:40?
bout time you guys got it right :)
Was everyone else busy?
possibly the best sf4 fei long player in the world
This was good content to watch (redirected from Eventhubs).
More of this please IGN.
Ikebukuro is a real place?
you guys should do one of these on sonic fox.
Playing in that Japanese arcade would be so badass!
More please!!!
I suddenly feel like playing Gunslinger Stratos
Good content.
seeing this video every thing remembers me of Yakuza lol
This is bascially what filthy frank would look like if he was full japanese
These guys are pro gamers. Why is this not respectable? This is how they chose to make a living.
hopefully he levels up IRL and eventually moves on to the couple's section of the arcade
He and his wife are expecting a baby in 2 months
nice
9:20 that drink is bigger than Fuudo
White text subtitles with a little black text border, please. Thanks.
I'm slightly disappointed. I was really hoping to see him walk into a bar and tell the bartender he was looking for sailors.
thought he was from Singapore?
I'm only buy the switch because of street fighter because I love street fighter and it is the best game and the only game out there.
I'm surprised Fuudo's life is not 99% all about ramen...
super ironic that he has to walk by an area designed for couples daily
i don box and want to be a por boxers one day and i rerspet a pro gamer *sorry my inglish*
Being a pro gamer is mentally taxing as opposed to the physical portion. People shouldn't sell gaming short because it gets more complicated than a game of chess.
I'm pretty sure there are studies out there that show playing some games in reasonable burst improves mental function.
I felt like I was watching a anime series...
I thought this would be about DarkSydePhil...
can you do something like this but with super smash Bros 4
There's a lot of room for improvement on these definitely has issues but could be something really cool
Hey, thank you.
the girl at 11:35 is puzzled...
thisv was cool to see
RE 6: TFC 4:00 ♥
What kind of drink was fuudo drinking with his friend?
cupnoodleful butterbeer
Do one of The Beast

Kavortino WTH!!! he looks like a high school kid.
The Life of a Street Fighter Pro ==> Playing Street Fighter
Not really he plays a lot of other games such as card games, action shooting games and retro games !!
Of course you are going to use Fuudo because he is the one with the hot model waifu... well played IGN...
His Fei Long is godlike
They couldn't find him something smaller than headphones to advertise Razer? 😂

Fuudo = Keita Ai
Fuudo great player
yo what was the anime at 1:14 ruclips.net/video/szX8OZAZyUY/видео.html
NICE
12 minutes long. does that mean he has pretty much no life?
Eck pretty much, he plays video games all day, but so what, beats working at mcdonalds or whatever
Eck he does what he loves for living, that itself has better life than most ppl, sure it maybe not earning much money, but at least i think it is better life than hating ur job although has more earnings.
Sooo from watching this all I learned is I get money when I win or loose
Very interesting and different. Me like.
Wow, it's fighting game Harry Potter!
I'd like to take this guy on in an IRL street fight
Joel Enzio Hedman why?
Joel Enzio Hedman so the cops can arrest you and charge you for disturbing the peace? Dumbass
Then you marry a model
