Tall fighter knew how to use his reach to his advantage against the shorter fighter, the shorter fighter had trouble even reaching the taller fighters head. If the shorter fighter would've cracked down on those legs earlier in the round he may have been able to shut down the taller fighters movement and slow him down, making it easier to land strikes and nullifying the distance advantage.
And it'll push him up a weight class. His reach is his advantage and he builds for it. I am the same style fighter...I am always bigger than my opponent.

He only has the reach advantage, in close and in the clinch he’s useless, and he falls easy with a good leg kick, can see his arms and legs breaking easily when he checks a leg kick or a head kick from a bigger opponent with power
