That grapple is definitely a time saver and back saver! I keep looking at my tractor and wonder, how I ever got along without it. I’ve used it for way more than I ever thought I would. Have a great day, and may God bless...
Joe, you are spot on about don't wait to buy a compact tractor You can never get too much tractor time.A 6-7' Woods rear finish mower should give you a nicer finish then a rotary mower. I keep 15 acres mowed with 6' rear finish mower 3 times a summer. Just before the holidays.A 3.5-4" finish look. Keeps any field brush from taking over.
Must be on the warm side doing firewood this time of year. I've known loggers in ME to start 5am and quit at 11am, but then again cant be no hotter then getting hay in
It is a blessing to get up in the morning and enjoy what your doing while prospering .Amazed at how God keeps upgrading equipment to keep up with your blessing.Really enjoy the inspiration and videos.God continue to bless you.All good things come from the lord.
Morning Joe u no the saying practice makes perfect u r getting there and that sit on mower is great good to see that u r getting good weather it has done nothing but rain over here this supposed to be our summer don't no what has gone wrong u seem to have everything ready for tomorrow keep safe untill next time.
Looks like your getting the hang of the grapple. Joe your tractor will feel like a brand new one if you get those rear tires loaded. Happy father's day.
Like i said before, once you get a grapple the forks become almost obsolete. You can now park them out back out of the way and only use them for moving pallets. Same thing happened to us. I loved using the grapple for logs and brush. good job thanking us for the info on the grapple. You are a stand up guy.
Getting smooth Joe!! Getting new tools =different processes. I’d like for you to get a remote microphone so I can hear you giggle like a school boy on the tractor. Happy Father’s Day!!
Morning Joe! I have a narrow grapple that is on my skidsteer near all the time, super handy. I think the skidsteer is a bit more agile than the tractor but I would not run it on the lawn and expect it to look like a lawn when I was done. Looks like the perfect setup for you.
Hi Joe - it's Big Rodders in Ireland. I'm very envious of the super logs you have - I know you say a number are crooked but even they will be a delight to process compared to general Tree Service Company loads that many folk have to live with. Looking forward to your next video, which I hope will feature Big Bertha, the Axis splitter.
My ex father had a sawmill,we lived 1/2 mile from him.walkig out the door in the morning and hearing it daily for over 20 yrs was normal.whenhe retired its missed in the community,, a sound of rural america, his father ran it prior
Great day to be out and about Joe. I'm with you on the grapple. Not only does it a little bit longer but its better to not overload the tractor. Some people abuse equipment expecting more than they are capable to do. I'd rather take a few extra minutes and be safe.
How's it going Joe! Every time I pop in here you seem to keep growing! Awesome to see!👍👍 and that grapple is sexy, keep up the work, won't be surprised if I see a big Bell processor show up next in the near future 🤙🤙
I have a request Joe can you fill us in on the third cord bags that are extremely large in the old one third of a cord of wood I don't know if you seen them yet kind of curious to see how they drive the wood take care and God bless
Good morning Joe!!😀😀 Happy father's day!😀😀 The grapple is a definite must have for handling logs. Sounds like Titan messed up a little bit when you have to be in full curl just to be level. I think it's something Titan needs to address and maybe re engineer so it tilts back farther. More ballast is always better for keeping you solid on the ground. Take care my friend!!😀😀 Logger Al
Thanks Logger Al. I have no idea what is or isn't the best way. I have no experience with these things and learning on the fly. I'm not sure how important the extra curl is when you have the clamp but at least as soon as you boom-up that makes the angle increase. Not sure if I'm making sense LOL
Any tractors with a grapple works great in a wood yard, I work at a bbq restaurant here in Pensacola & we get dropped off 40-60" rounds & without the skid steer with grapple them rounds would be hell on us.
Curious ..if there's any big difference in the construction quality between the Frostbite and the Titan model.. what's your opinion? Thank you for your response.. can't find any comparison videos on the tube
I cannot speak to the Frostbite but I can say the Titan Attachments has been awesome. Super Strong. This one is 3 years old and gets used A LOT. free shipping on all their stuff.
Joe I have a compact tractor but it's green lol, nothing runs like a Deere you know (joking) it is a 3038 JD with a cab that I use for cutting grass, blowing snow that has a front end loader on and I have a backhoe for it. I found lots of jobs for it here on the farm that I don't want to use my bigger Deeres on because they are to big for me.
@@ohiowoodburner I have a few good JD dealers in my area . I do have a Bobcat Skid loader that I like a lot. I don't really bleed green other than my tractors and planters.
The perfect accessory for cleaning the tractor would be an electric pressure washer as you get the pressure needed to remove caked on mud if needed without the need of a gas engine on it so safe to bring inside if you need to wash a car/truck/tractor in the winter like for road salt removal.
I did. I totally forgot to mention that in this vid. They had this tab on each one that really looked like they wanted them installed on the outside. I moved them in and that seemed to be the trick.
1.To might want to set the crooked pile up on two or three stringers to get them off the ground. They should be easier to cut that way. 2. You might be able to transport two or three poles to the live deck at once with the grapple. It would improve your productivity.
Thanks for the comment Tom. I am still not very good with my operating so I just do one log at a time. I don't mind it takes me a little longer. I like riding the tractor!
If wheels go around too often maybe you should buy agriculturial tires on your tractor? But sure agriculturial tires break up your grass much more. Nice video!
That is the ballast box made by Titan Attachments. I have 500lbs of pea gravel in it. Here is the link www.palletforks.com/tractors/3-point/ballast-boxes/ballast-box-category-1-3-point---quick-hitch-compatible/BLSTBX.html
Just the ability to sort from the bottom of the pile will pay for the grapple, Joe. When you can get one of your girls operating the loader, you can buck off the twisty ones while thereoff the ground, then you you can really roll! Looks good. Seeya.
Got a question for you joe on the tractor. I’m really thinking about getting one if things go good with applying for a government start up grant for my business and I’d like to know from the front of the loader to the back of the ballast box how long is it? Also with those attachment and loaded tires what is your tractors weight? Also how wide is it. I have a 6x10 10k cam superline advantage dump trailer that I’d like to haul it in. Thanks and love the videos.
You maybe sitting on the Bobcat for too long but it is definitely a time saver. You will get done quicker as you get better at operating it. It’s a keeper!
What grapple is that and where do you get them? I have the exact same tractor as you and am interested in purchasing...good video, by the way. Keep em coming!

Your seat time on the tractor is really starting to show. That grapple is certainly the ticket for picking up and moving logs around the pile. I am sure your back will thank you when you use the tractor and grapple to buck your oversize and crooked logs at waist height with a chainsaw.

Greetings Joe from S. E. Ohio. Glad you like your grapple. Things will be slot easier. Happy Father's Dad!!! Have a wonderful rest of the day.
Thanks for the nice comment John. Stay cool today
Joe looks like you’ve got the hang of that grapple for sure. That thing is pretty neat really improves efficiency. Take care, Ben.
I also think it's safer when loading the log deck. There is no risk of the log rolling over backwards and landing on the operator.
You are mastering it! Practice makes Perfect! Happy Father’s Day Joe! 🚜🪵👍🏼🇱🇷
Thanks Larry and Darla!

joe if u want more weight on back of tractor just put water in rear tires
Windshield washer fluid or beet juice doesn’t rust or freeze, works better in the tires
Not sure if water is ideal in NE Ohio but there are other options that don't freeze
Try holding your bugger logs..off the ground..about 3'.... Cutting wood blocks off..2 off one side then the other...saves your BACK
