Total disclosure: I plan on completely copying all the same mods that you've done...lol. The only difference being putting a Seymour Duncan Jazz in the neck and a JB in the bridge. That does sound much better Jonathan. These guitars are so bright to start with. The Roswells are good pickups, but not really a very good match on this particular model. Your setup sounds a lot more balanced and pleasing to the ear. I especially like the sound of the Pearly Gates humbucker in the neck position. Great job on getting this guitar closer to where it should be!

Sweet sounding guitar, couldn’t hear a volume drop when you split the coils, sweet playing also man, seriously considering picking one of these guitars up
Amazing sound - I am off to buying both hb now :) The volume difference between the split / non split is minimal - though there's too much compression so maybe that's why. Great playing, very inspiring.
Yes, after comparing the two, these are much better... More of a balance going on there, and the sound is great. Ahhhhh, can't wait to receive my FUSION ll I did notice that mine will be coming with only one roller string tree, nice...:-)
Hi Jonathan iv got this model too and im very happy with it .I may go down the route like you an change pickups.i have only got one small niggle I notice the high e string seems to fall off side of neck a little too easy mainly at 5th fret area.i have tried moving the neck by undoing the bolts at the back and it has improved and looks fine spacing wise.i was wondering if you had encountered this issue .

Thats the 4th position..the classic stack plus (middle) and the 59/custom hybrid (bridge) combined. Its just the last bridge pickup from 2.28 onwards..I'm loving that tone too! ✌😜

Hey Jonathan! I've been playing since 10 years, have one american deluxe strat, had an ESP Horizon and many more guitars. The problem is that they didn't fit quite well with my hands nor with my playing style. So my question is, do you recomend me this guitar? Knowing I want to play Metal, Jazz and Blues? Keep up the vids!
Thats a shame. But then I do not have much details as to what do you mean by not fitting well in your hands. Are the neck too thick, too thin? I can tell you that this guitar is not very thick like a traditional C , more like a modern C. Again, it's very subjective about the choice of guitars for certain genre of music. This guitar in my opinion is versatile in most genres especially with the current pickup changes. I hope this help ✌
I'm looking into buying this guitar is there anyway you can put the fishman influence pickups into this guitar. I'm wanting to mod the he'll out of it and how would I take off the retained bar. And what do I also need to replace it. Should I also install a bone nut or graft nut.
HI Lee, as my bridge is being floated substantially..i still have very slight tuning problems. {As I do with my other guitars with floating bridges').but very slight as compared to when the retainer bar was in. I also did some filing at the nut slot to help the strings along. So far, i'm able to gig with this guitar..no problems..Hope this helps :)✌
Jonathan Koh thank you. I've been looking at these since they first announced them. Beautiful guitars. I'll probably wait until the fusion basses that Cory hinted about on the facebook group come out, then order about five different instruments. I like the CST24 with P90s too.
u should ask Pete Thorn to send you some thornbuckers so you can do a video and put them in ur green hb fusion II. i want this because im going to try and do it myself

Yep.. The seymours are great... There volume different is much more apparent on the original pickups ✌️🤓

The retainer bar is easy to dismantle. You can choose between a bone or a graphite nut.
Change out the wilkinson bridge with it's pot metal block and see huge tone gains
