Man I'm 21 years old just got my net+ and sec+ a few months back and now I'm studying for my ccna and I really have to give you credit, you really inspire me big dog all the way from the Bahamas . Looking forward to more content man
Thank you for this man! Currently getting more serious with my IT career and just took a position that’s pays a little less but gives me more opportunity to learn more and study for my certifications
Congrats on the power move! I'm still kicking myself for not taking advantage of my military clearance upon leaving the Marine Corps (SatCom). Military contractors, new to the IT industry, are averaging $85k in SoCal. Anyway, to answer your question: Hell yeah I'd travel for the loot/career opportunity lol.
Very inspirational bro. Been in tech support for 3 years after school but looking to switch over to networking. I feel like my school focused more on programming languages vs the networking side
i wanna say congratulations on your new opportunity. Im in school now for my network ad. degree. After my degree I am going back for my cyber security certification. Im up IN South carolina @ 11:47 doing IT labs now. your very inspiring and you motivate me to keep going. thank you for making your videos it keeps me pushing.
Thank you for sharing your valuable experience my friend . I wish you all the best greetings from Greece 🇬🇷 🙏🖥️!!! Do you have Facebook group or discord channel ?
Great Content and very inspiring... I’m a new immigrant in USA and I have more than 8 years of previous working experiences in IT administration in Asian Countries... But I’m been confused a bit, ie. how to or from where to start again here in USA... Expecting your opinion and advice please... Best of luck to your new job....
Congratulations brother! You're a huge inspiration for me. It's good to have some perspective on the direction to go after finally getting my CCNA. I'll have to be working on my Security+ now. Do you have any perspective on how to get a security clearance as a civilian? I just got turned down for a job because I don't have a secret clearance, do you mind giving me an overview of the process?
Congrats man I'm studying for the CCNA I'm a network admin on base currently. I would definitely move for a dream job or opportunity elsewhere if I had to most def.
Congrats! I started the year great with the ccna, new job with a pay raise as well. Currently learning cloud and working towards my ccnp. Heading towards network engineering, I can see it lol 👁
Thanks for the video I hope more success and blessings come your way I’m currently getting enrolled in a computer and network Technician course to get a majority of my certifications it is very uncomfortable for me because I recently was a water damage technician/home renovator so getting on the techie side of life is a very new feeling for me coming from the hardware side of it but I’ll make sure I GET THE GAINS 💪🏾🧠🤖
Hi Brendan just stumbled upon your channel lol i to am in between thinking of a career change ,been looking at RUclips videos on cyber security and cisco and just took a free course in an introduction to cyber security wich im amazed i enjoyed lol .Am now going to sign up for a few more courses and look to take a few exams in the industry ec and hope i can get an entry job of some sort to stat me off etc. great channel Brendan.
Congrats on the new job. I'm IRR from Reserves, former 25B, studying for CCNA (got sec+ in August) and two other certs since then), definitely gonna utilize my clearance for my next gig. My only fear is, I got fired from my last tech support gig back in May. Not sure how to proceed with a job hunt with that in my work history, especially for a contractor position that will likely require a thorough background check.
@@TheBuffNerd7539 those positions need a security clearance ? Even if I’ve been seeing a lot of clearance sponsorship programs and I decided to study for my CCNA. Foot on the gas !
I am a network admin for the DOD so unfortunately there are not alot of freedoms when it comes to setting my schedule. However the environment is very relaxed most times. (probably because of covid lol)
Your content has really been blessing me Brendan, thank you for sharing. Do you plan on staying in government sector for the remainder of your career? Also, my wife and I may be moving out to the eastern WV/DC area within the next year or so (which means a lot of government jobs). I don't have a TS Clearance and unsure on whether I could obtain one, do you know if there is a demand for private sector IT professionals in the area in case I do not qualify for TS clearance? Thanks for all you do!
Thanks so much for the support. 🤘🏾 Yes, Amazon just established a presence in the DMV Area if I’m not mistaken. NC has a strong IT presence as well. Both in Raleigh, Charlotte and Towards Fort Bragg. There are companies that sponsor clearances, it just depend on the gig your looking for.
@@TheBuffNerd7539 Thanks for the reply! I am specifically looking at Network/Wireless engineering. Is there a good chance of a civilian getting sponsored for a clearance at those positions in that area?
depends on which one your shooting for. The average cost to process a SECRET clearance can run from several hundred dollars to $3,000, depending upon individual factors. The average cost to process a TOP SECRET clearance is between $3,000 and about $15,000, depending upon individual factors
I can't remember where I got the first song from. You can find all kinds of copyright free music through different sites. Just google it and some good sources should come up.
You are a grinder! You think that the military experience on your resume made a big difference? Specifically in your older jobs. Not necessarily for the government job.

Start by checking out some staffing agencies like Brooksource and TekSystems. They often have jobs all over the spectrum.
Congrats on the New job bro.
Thank you so much sir I think the best combinations were physical training and studying for IT... I'm lagging both but that's ok haha

As a network admin/engineer, do you get a chance to work outside at all? What about setting your own schedule, any freedom there?
