I just found the networkchuck video where you said you were dreaming to become a network engineer at some point. Warms my heart to see that once I click on your channel, this is the first thing I see. Congrats even though it's been a year since u uploaded lol
Congratulations on the new job, Sir! You have worked hard to get there! Your advice is very valuable to me as I am beginning my IT journey. Also, thank you for your service to our nation!
Appreciate your videos man. Passed my A+ and am on the hunt for help desk jobs. It’s so cool to hear how you progressed through the years and I can’t wait to begin mine.
I want to thank you for being a mentor for people just starting out in the field like me. I need all the help I can get I glad I came across your Channel. Congratulations on the position and hope you do not stop there. Keep growing
That curious/strategic personality will take you up any ladder in any field very fast if you do it right. I am very exciting for you brotha! This is just the beginning 🙏🏽
Gonna take my CCNA in June and have been grinding. The only thing I definitely wanna take the networking route in the industry but at the same time I’m at a really good place and enjoy the Sys Admin role
If your constantly learning more and becoming more of an valuable asset with your SysAdmin role then stick with it! After going for the CCNA try going for the AWS Certified SysOps. Just an Idea :D
Congrats! Love to see it man. I am starting my own IT journey now and watching you gives me a lot of motivation! I am starting with my Network+ (I plan to take the exam within 60 days) and then I want to build a home lab and take my CCNA. Eventually I think I would like to be in a defensive security role. Keep the videos coming!
Congrats man. This video gives me a lot of hope. I'm in school for network admin right now. I plan to get help desk going, getting certifications and being a. Network admin. Thanks for sharing your journey! Congrats on your new engineer position!

First off congrats man, made me smile. Hello my name is Jacobi, I recently just graduated with an associates degree as a networking specialist concentration Cisco. Im on the road to obtaining my CCNA as we speak studying everyday learning from over 5+ vendors. Wanted to know if i could get some test taking tips and more interview tips?
Cool channel man. I like how you spoke about networking with people. I got into IT while working in sales by asking the IT director of the company that I work for if there was a chance of me moving over to his team. He opened up a help desk position for me. He made it happen because of how I fit in with the company as a whole. Question for you.... what do you think of that CCNP 350-401 official cert guide? I’ve seen negative things on Amazon. Is it helping you? Have you noticed any errors?
Yes I have noticed errors and it's a little unsettling. However it is not my only method of studying so I try not to worry about it too much. Getting the material from multiple avenues help bridge the inconsistency from the book. The cert guide, CBTnuggets, Boson etc..
First, congrats bro for achieving ur goal...now i want ur help..i'm 32 yro never studied IT...and i have two paths that i want an advice to choose one...Networking or Cyber Security?...i read about them and soon i'll start my cisco IT essentials...what is ur advice?
Dive down networking first and then head towards cyber. All of the engineers I work along side with keep telling me cyber is the way to go because networking will slowly start getting automated out of existence lol. I believe we got about 5 years to utilize network roles as much as possible and then that area of the business will likely become more of a DEVOPS environment. Cyber is amazing... but understanding networks will always be essential.
@@TheBuffNerd7539 yes as a starting off point , I've done IT support & PC technician in the past which was about 8 years ago but now I'm trying to get back into IT . I have a degree in IT & feel the CCNA will help me as well

Make sure that your studying consist of labs using packet tracer or any other software that allows you to actually configure a router. Practical labs helped me with the CCNA when it came to understanding the syntax of the commands.
