I subscribe the the theory that Akuma no Ko is actually Mikasa talking to Eren and Under the Tree is Eren to Mikasa. Listen to those songs again but with that POV. It's actually insane. Especially Akuma no Ko. No this video but the official full song music video. It's all imagery of Eren and mostly Eren from behind. It's Mikasa watching Eren and this is her song towards Eren that she with love him no matter what and that she is always the one chasing him. Give it a try and switch the POV. It will raddle your mind.

@@user-ju1oh5tr5r Akuma No Ko is his song to all his friends not just Mikasa. He sacrificed it all for them and didn't want to just live in the cage waiting for his inevitable death.
Totally agree with favorite anime ending/song of all time! Don't even have to read the lyrics, just hearing Ai's voice brings me to tears! The emotions in her voice are amazing!

I wondered if Erin had actually said this to Mikasa, would the outcome have been different? Ai Higuchi may not be a household name but her performance made it so emotional. This version is the upper cut while The First Take Version was the knockout punch. One of my personal favorites from the anime.
Check out this idea. This song is actually Mikasa talking to Eren. Watch the Official music video with the idea Mikasa is saying it and it will be insane. Especially with the imagery, it's all watching Eren and a lot of watching Eren from behind, just like Mikasa does the whole show. Try it, it will blow your mind

There are a few AMV's than a fan made about major characters like Eren, Levi and Zeke which are so brilliantly edited and show their character and journey as a whole really well. The greatest one is called "Attack on Titan「AMV/ASMV」|| Eren Jaeger | The Rumbling"
If you end up watching them/ The Rumbling one, I recommend watching "Freedom's Cost" first, as it has so many good examples of the repeated imagery in AoT.
This song will make me cry for a long time. AOT is a masterpiece whatever other people may say it has flaws yes but the world building and the storytelling is up there.
