    Music to my ears My pet-hate is loosing the ball from a throw-in, The pressure it puts on thrower fullbacks to get back goal side of their opposing player Who should be, banking on their team stealing the ball, for a free run in the fullbacks vacated zone, criminal. But it’s good banter when the teams capable of stealing the ball from throws and free kicks 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🕊

      Yes... both attacking and defending throw-ins can be deadly.

      I do it in a whole other way. My throw-in coaching is entertaining, so never see players get restless.

    Cheers, being out due to an ACL tear it's been hard finding motivation to do anything but these drills give me something to practice in between physio. Hopefully I come back next season with a longer throw-in and get a few more assists from that.

    Hi mate lovely video! Just wondering, do you think that upper body strength is important when doing long throw ins? If so, Is there any type of exercises you have your clients do?

    • @ThomasThrowin
      @ThomasThrowin  3 года назад +1

      Hi Edvin. Thanks.
      95% of my long throw-in focus is on improving the throw-in technique. Most of my players are improving 5-15 meters just with technical. I'm working with 30 different technical parameters and video analysis.
      You can also supply with flexibility training and medicinball throwing (see one of my other videos here on RUclips). Flexibility and technical skills will always win over strength.

    Every throw was a foul throw.

      No... Standing on or behind the line, both feet on the ground, ball going from behind and over the head.

      Actually, I just learned this recently, according to TheFA, for a throw-in you only need to "have part of each foot on the touchline or on the ground outside the touchline". So, since for all of the throughs he had his foot on the line, they are all legal.
