So you don’t want to learn, about the instruments, on a channel, that explains things, that’s weird, I didn’t complain, that a different video, on the same topic, didn’t explain the instruments, maybe watch that video instead, of complaining, on this one, P.S., I do not want a pointless argument, I just giving you opinion.
The only one you didn't get to hear was the Marble Machine, which actually does have its own video on RUclips. You heard enough to have an idea of the instruments work. Sometimes I guess people just want to be assholes.
1. the magic pipe invented by Mike Silverman, better known as That 1 Guy, itis a series of pipes stings and electronic componentry that creates a unique sound. 2. a Corillian eventually a series of bells with levers to create a harmonious sound 3. the laser harp. a series of laser beams that when broken emits a musical note 4. the Largaphone, popular in Australian bush bands this percussion instrument is basically a stick with a rubber stopper on one end about 1000 beer caps nailed to it down its length it is played by slamming it into the ground an striking it with a stick. 5, the Flatus flute, what can a say its a woodwind instrument you play by farting into itok so i cant come up with 10
Fascinating! I wonder if you discovered, during your research, that Léon Theremin, inventor of the musical instrument of the same name, was involved in Russian espionage during the Cold War? I just Googled him and got the fact that it was one of his inventions, called "The Thing," was embedded into a wooden replica of the US Great Seal that was presented to the US embassy in Moscow by Russian school children in 1945. The Soviets then listened in on private and important conversations in the office until its discovery during remodeling in 1952! An interesting coincidence was that Hollywood horror films made great use of the theremin---including the original black and white film, "THE THING"!!!
The 27 new and unique instruments that composer Harry Partch designed should be in the list. They are artistic and produce some stunning sounds. Historically, one of the strangest instruments built was the Cahill Teleharmonium. This was a 27-ton instrument which was basically an electric power station attached to a keyboard, with each dynamo turbine playing a different note. Sadly, it no longer exists. Prepared piano is also pretty odd. This involves attaching various objects to piano strings, in order to turn an ordinary piano into a kind of percussion instrument.
here's another one: the pig piano. invented in 1483, this bizarre instrument was made to entertain king Louis XI of France. it consists of several pigs on a bench ranging from small to big with a keyboard behind it. each key is connected to a spike, which when pressed hits the butt of the corresponding pig! the smaller the pig, the higher the note. crazily, it is actually possible to play a few tunes on it. the king was very impressed, in case you were interested.
What a coincidence, I randomly read about the theremin yesterday night and how it's Soviet inventor invented the very first wireless radio microphones for spying, like the great eagle seal and this was in 1940s when this might have been like a futuristic technology, truly a gifted inventor...
They have tesla coils at the Museum of Science in Boston. They play them during presentations on electricity in the Electricity Room. They're really fantastic to watch.
I always thought the Spritzer-Honker-Splasher-Sprinkler-Tweeter-Squirt of Sesame Street fame was one of the coolest, strangest, and definitely the wettest musical instrument I’ve ever seen.
I wish you would have mentioned that the theremin also created one of the most iconic science fiction theme songs ever! Doctor who! Doooo weeeee oooooooo!
Why didn't you let us hear the marble machine? You just talked over it. Considering the list is about instruments meant to produce music it is strange to not let us hear it. The idea for this video was very good, I was just disappointed with not getting a better chance to hear them.
Less talk please! I want to hear the intrument

@@mirandalyneetestewart3083 shut up
@c why, I was giving an opinion,
also, rude.
Isn’t it due to copyright reasons?
Now I want to see someone put together an entire orchestral piece using all of these instruments in some way.
*Number 1:* Mayonnaise
*Honorable Mentions:* Horseradish
No Friendship, Mayonnaise is not an instrument
Horseradish is not an instrument either
Oh boy clearly you have been watching a good number of classic spongebob squarepants episodes 😆😁😄😃😀😅😀😃😄😁😆😅🤣😂🙂🙃😉😊😇🥰😍🤩
Why do I see you everywhere
mayonnaise is actually a drum
The metal band Eluevetite has been using a hurdy gurdy since they first started. Sounds great and works well with their music.
Imagine being asked what instrument you play, then you respond saying “The Hurdy-Gurdy”
Cool... we only got to hear 3 instruments for more than 3 seconds. Some we didn't get to hear at all. Do your editors have brain damage or something?
I wanted to hear that marble machine!
Chaos89P just look up the marble machine on RUclips. He is also working on the Marble Machine X.
The only one you didn't get to hear was the Marble Machine, which actually does have its own video on RUclips. You heard enough to have an idea of the instruments work. Sometimes I guess people just want to be assholes.
ONLY PERSON BEING AN ARSEHOLE IS YOU LAMB...
Lol

Wade k 21 oh my god, this made my day 😂😂😂
No Patrick. Mayonnaise is not an instrument.

I fangirled so hard when Patty Gurdy was on
Also expected to see floopy drives orchestra here.
Theremin has to be number 1
I AM A HURDY GURDIST I AM SO SURPRISED THAT THEY HAD ONE ON THE LIST. However they left out SOOOOOO much, like the trompett strings.
you forgot to mention one of the reasons the glass harmonica was left in the past, it was often made with leaded glass.
My list:
10 Ophicleide
9 Slide saxophone
8 Schaumei
7 Piccolo trombone
6 Harmonitrompe
5 Theorbo
4 Viola da gamba
3 Cor Omnitonique
2 Cimbasso
1 Big Carl

It’s all so Bjork!!!
(What about Reactable?)

The Ondes Martenot is really cool weird instrument.
How to disappear completely.
Yes, the instrument still sounds eerie until this day and Theremin is the number one strangest musical instrument
I wondered if the Theremin would be in there. And at #1, no less. Nice.
seen it on american horror story coven myrtle liked playing it
LOVE IT.. WELL DONE PEPES..
The songs played by the zeusaphone ( if you were wondering): 1. Legend Of Zelda. 2. Darude Sandstorm. 3. Imperial March.
They have tesla coils at the Museum of Science in Boston. They play them during presentations on electricity in the Electricity Room. They're really fantastic to watch.
Great. Now I want to learn how to play the glass armonica and the Theremin.
ay they got the sharpsicord in here! thats the thing that was used to play sacrifice on bjork's biophilia tour
I saw the Earth Harp in person this past summer at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Mo!
I thought the Rusty Trombone would made the list 🤔🔊
There needs to be a follow up video.
5:15 I'd like to hear the Harry Potter theme on that thing.
0:07 & 4:41 That is at a church in Rockwall, TX called Lake Pointe Church. I go to church there.
I loved the earth harp I remember seeing it live and I just had to follow that guy online to see more.
Woohoo! Patty Gurdy!
What are you doing after school?
I have a zeuzaphone lesson.
Hide this from Rob Scallon
The corries played an instrument called the 28 string guitar and two instruments called Combolins which stringed instruments
yes i have seen the tesla coil play songs before and its awesome.
So have I. Awesome concert.
I've also seen ( heard) someone playing a hurdy-gurdy on more than one occasion.
5:59 so that's what it sounds like to be zapped by the Emperor
no contrabass flute? that flute is badass as hell
I hope retro futuristic music becomes the mainstream in the 2020s
You mean Synthwave/Retrowave becoming even bigger in the 2020's?
Ncs
@@clickhereidareyou5950 Give me 1 example, Of a retro futuristic song from NCS.
I always thought the Spritzer-Honker-Splasher-Sprinkler-Tweeter-Squirt of Sesame Street fame was one of the coolest, strangest, and definitely the wettest musical instrument I’ve ever seen.
Why didn’t they play a sample of the Marble Machine?!? That thing sounds awesome.
Great editing! We’re these trending on a deaf social media website?
Pls make more videos about weird instruments?
I live in Rochester ny and I've heard a Tesla coil play "bad romance"
How is the otamatone not on this list.
I agree! It is such a strange little thing! XD I am thinking of getting myself one
i remember that sound on the waterphone, that instrument was used in full metal jacket in the sniper scene
You forgot David Byrne’s instrument: A Building
I wonder if any of the Blue Man Group's musical instruments can make the cut next time?
Wow that's awesome ❤❤❤❤
How do you not mention the Tesla coil without mentioning Björk's song Thunderbolt???
Interestingly enough Björk has used about half of these instruments at one point.
True story. The sharpsichord is in the song Sacrifice
I thought this would just be a Bjork video. She loves to experiment (with great success) with different sounds.
Is the Hurdy-Gurdy what they use for the music in all those cliche middle eastern scenes in movies?
Oh I did not realize that that was a hurdy-gurdy was in polar express
The Theremin is #1, now I want to watch Midsomer Murders.
Where are the Tchaikovsky cannons?
You gotta include the Yaybahar. Search for Görkem Şen.
There's a new Marble Machine in the works. It's gonna be a lot better than the 1st one.
The Theremin proves that electronic music, Is way older than most people think it is.
Number 2 is awesome its like something a supervillain would do
I want to play a Theremin now.
Hurdy gurdy is my favourite from the list
The zeusaphone is Tesla coil.
Marble machine is awesome !! also the marble machine X is been made since long ago !! .. wintergatam channel is great !
6:17 It sounds like the music of a Game Boy Advance Star Wars game.
Weird Instruments: ELECTRICITY ITSELF!!!
Where's the love for musical floppy drives
In my head, the very words "hurdy gurdy" are now forever connected with the movie Zodiac.
I'm showing my age; for me I immediately think of the 60's rocker Donovan who had a hit called "Hurdy-Gurdy Man."
Why the hell haven't you done more countdowns on hard rock/heavy metal songs?!
I'm missing a couple: The Yaybahar, The Laserharp and the Fire Organ.
The Fire Organ! It’s technical name is Pyrophone, but makes sound out of combustions (which grants the nickname “Explosion Organ”
Only a hand full of those are objects in "Scribblenauts"
Actually, I'd say that all musical instruments are strange. A musician myself, I can't help but think about it...
Indeed, people get so emotional over wiggly air. 😂😆😇😜
I wish you would have mentioned that the theremin
also created one of the most iconic science fiction theme songs ever! Doctor who! Doooo weeeee oooooooo!
The original version of the theme for Doctor Who used a theremin.
You were playing my Zeldarrrrrzzzz. I jumped up like my 9 year old self when i heard it ❤❤❤
WAIT!! 2:55 That's Chris Wood, that is. Amazing English folk musician and songwriter. Check him out if you get a chance!
.
.
...do I win anything?
the hydraulophone,is this the instrument used in the intro of hello africa by dr. alban?
I want a hurdy gurdy so bad
7:23 What's that song called? I keep hearing it everywhere!
assassins creed theme
That marble one sounded cool, but we didn't get to hear it.
What's that song at the 6 minute mark?
All of these sound like instruments Björk would use/has used in her music
I wanna learn some of them instruments!
Why didn't you let us hear the marble machine? You just talked over it. Considering the list is about instruments meant to produce music it is strange to not let us hear it. The idea for this video was very good, I was just disappointed with not getting a better chance to hear them.
So the waterphone is how they make horror movie sounds?
Good lord. A lot of these look like they come from a Dr Seuss book.
3:08 a giant music box
5:59 what's the name of that music?
I swear, number ten is just the Swedish chef singing.
Trying to find the links that you discussed
You got the name of #4 wrong. It is a glass armonica, not a glass harmonica.
Tchaikovsky called and asked for you to consider Artillery in this list.
Imagine talking about a "jaw dropping" instrument then not fucking letting us hear it. Looking at you, marble instrument.
5:35 which song?
you forgot the otamatone
I suggested this about two years ago! XD
If you like the Marble Machine, check out the Wintergatan channel for the building of Marble Machine X!
The earth harp strings are so long,it would be a shame if i..cut one off
I remember Sheldon playing the theramin in an episode of the Big Bang Theory
