Several years ago my wife and I took our youth group to state youth convention at Western Michigan University. Nate was the Friday night opening concert and Tommee Profit was the worship leader all weekend. If I only realized at the time what they would both end up doing I would have appreciated it even more.

He uses both words in the correct term and still ends up making it work…. He’s awesome at his word play, rhyme scheme, cinematic music videos, visuals, and story telling in ALL of his songs. People singing at Nate's 6th birthday
at beginning and end..and the ''you will
just make another goal that doesn't lead
to freedom'' is to me a reference to King
Solomon's famous '' Vanity, vanity, all is
    vanity''...rant in Ecclesiastes where the
richest King who kept accomplishing all
he set out to do just left him feeling more
insignificant (too small or unimportant to
be worth consideration),, as he basicly
states that it's all been done before and
he can not be fullfilled by his achievments
alone... '' He may be lonely... but he's not
alone...'' double meaning that will be the
theme of Nate's 'ONLY' ''Yeah, does anybody
feel like me?...Show of hands, I don't need
a lot, I just wanna find my peace''.. ;)

About feeling fake. That is one of the results of being exposed long term trauma. When you live under conditions that are creating trauma for years as a kid it creates different type of PTSD than what one traumatic event does. It shapes your brain too and modifies how it works. All that are part of making you feel like you are fake even though you try your hardest and are one of the best in your field. It creates a lot of other issues too. I have thought from the moment when I found NF that his art really shows what it is to live with CPTSD. It is spooky experience to have someone else put things out like they would come from your head. But that is also what I love in him. He is able to express the things that I can not and because of that has helped me to express them too. In that way he is therapy.

I think Nate's talking about contentment vs. complacency. Of course we should all have goals and want to grow. However if you are never satisfied and always need to have that next goal then your problem is with contentment. Contentment is a form of ungratefulness. There is a big difference between contentment and complacency, and it is just as big as the difference between confidence and arrogance.

    • @TrevandErin

Ahh okay that's really well put. I definitely can see where I could have a problem with contentment. I'm happy with my life however I definitely feel unhappy if I'm not chasing a goal. Even if I don't complete it and fail I just need a goal to chase

'It could be said that in order to be

    experience that innocence over again...
but... the trade off for this true experience
would be to NOT remember our future selfs...
    Deep calls to Deep...
how many time have we returned in our sleep?...
In the end... I guess that child in us will never tell
or make a peep....and spoil the adventure...

Don’t worry about not achieving your goals at your age man. No two people are alike. When I went to college I had a class with a guy in his late 50’s. He wanted to get a college degree since he didn’t have one. There are people who have became millionaires in their 60’s and some in their 20’s. Everyone’s timeline is unique. Keep staying positive and set goals for yourself. About 9 years ago I was done with making a minimum wage. I decided I wanted to become a technician at my dealership and set my main focus on it. Took me a couple years to get my training but I was glad I did. I also decided I didn’t just want to be a regular tech, but specialize in something most techs can’t do. I chose transmissions because it was harder and challenged myself to be the best tech I could become. Now I’m one of the few in my area who can do it. I get the message in the song. But I also feel it’s good to set goals to keep up the motivation

I think the reason he calls himself the "fakest" is the same reason a lot of Christians feel shame and guilt. He thinks that since he sins and has struggles that it makes him "fake." As a Christian, I know I've felt that I don't deserve God's love and forgiveness, because I live with myself every day and know that I fall short in a lot of areas. That's how I take it when he calls himself "fake."

I think because you do 2 NF songs in the same day and you mentioned sometimes they get uploaded in the wrong order you should put a number in the thumbnail. So it's easier for us to watch them in the order that you recorded them. If you look at the channel Reaction Therapy when he was doing his NF journey he did that. #23 for example is in the thumbnail of his 23rd NF reaction. Once the journey was over then he started going back to songs he missed and he stopped numbering them. It would help too when you start going hard on Twenty One Pilots.

Bruh, ur going to c Nate flex more in clouds. You will notice he's very confident now, but admits there r things that still get to him. Play "paid my dues" 1st from the cloud's album. The title is a double entandre. It's him going after the writer of Rolling Stones magazine. The title is based on one of their songs called "paid your dues". After the search album reached number 1 after 1 week of release, the writer called him a "one trick pony". That chance should have had it. He wrote that song within one week of that article being released, so it technically was his 1st cloud song. Also, remember that statement for another cloud song. Also profitt and NF work close together on the beats. Keep "grindin" bruh.
