It's because NF stands for Netflix 😂 all the songs connect together so well it's literally like everytime I watch a video it's like a new episode of the NF show. Little clues revealed, teasers for the next episode, ect.. 🤣
I just bought a #realmusic shirt that has the "Even good people are great at making bad decisions" quote on it. That line speaks to me. He goes back to the "perfect people don't exist so don't pretend to be one." I think that was in Remember This.
You are the very first video that I see every day when I watch RUclips. They are really pushing your videos through. That's a great thing for you! Much Love!
RUclips has really been showing me love for some reason. I think it's because of you guys and the community we have going. Everyone talking and commenting plus the likes are pushing me up in the algorithm. I really appreciate y'all! You guys are making my dream a reality
Incase nobody wrote this, the background noise in the beginning behind the humming sound, is at a birthday when Nate was growing up, you can hear them singing ”happy birthday dear Nathan” 🔥
I always say, "Emotional intelligence will get you further in life when you learn to seek motive, not be reactive, and to listen before responding calmly in relationships." This will take you far. Great reaction man!
Thanks for being real with us, Trev. I have never been good with making goals.Probably why I struggle in life. I’m not focused, disciplined. My relationship with God is usually cold, with hot moments.
Yeah that's my problem too! I've never been good at setting goals and sticking to them. That's one of my new years resolutions. Set goals and work towards them
My favorite line would probably have to be where he uses “empathy” and “sympathy” within the same verse. Like that’s awesome. He uses both words in the correct term and still ends up making it work…. He’s awesome at his word play, rhyme scheme, cinematic music videos, visuals, and story telling in ALL of his songs. Like no matter how hype or chill they are, he always has something to tell. Tell me another rapper than has the talent he has… I’ll be waiting 😂😂🔥🔥🔥🔥 #nfrealmusic
People singing at Nate's 6th birthday at beginning and end..and the ''you will just make another goal that doesn't lead to freedom'' is to me a reference to King Solomon's famous '' Vanity, vanity, all is vanity''...rant in Ecclesiastes where the richest King who kept accomplishing all he set out to do just left him feeling more insignificant (too small or unimportant to be worth consideration),, as he basicly states that it's all been done before and he can not be fullfilled by his achievments alone... '' He may be lonely... but he's not alone...'' double meaning that will be the theme of Nate's 'ONLY' ''Yeah, does anybody feel like me?...Show of hands, I don't need a lot, I just wanna find my peace''.. ;)
Dude I love you George 😂 that's such a good comparison to king Solomon. You're literally the goat of catching bars and not only getting the meaning but having awesome unique interpretations
About feeling fake. That is one of the results of being exposed long term trauma. When you live under conditions that are creating trauma for years as a kid it creates different type of PTSD than what one traumatic event does. It shapes your brain too and modifies how it works. All that are part of making you feel like you are fake even though you try your hardest and are one of the best in your field. It creates a lot of other issues too. I have thought from the moment when I found NF that his art really shows what it is to live with CPTSD. It is spooky experience to have someone else put things out like they would come from your head. But that is also what I love in him. He is able to express the things that I can not and because of that has helped me to express them too. In that way he is therapy.
I think Nate's talking about contentment vs. complacency. Of course we should all have goals and want to grow. However if you are never satisfied and always need to have that next goal then your problem is with contentment. Contentment is a form of ungratefulness. There is a big difference between contentment and complacency, and it is just as big as the difference between confidence and arrogance.
Ahh okay that's really well put. I definitely can see where I could have a problem with contentment. I'm happy with my life however I definitely feel unhappy if I'm not chasing a goal. Even if I don't complete it and fail I just need a goal to chase
The line "Even good people are great at making bad decisions" reminds me of scripture "no one is good, no not one, we have all fallen short of the glory of God"
Love this one so much! Not sure if you know this but this song was made due to when he checked into a mental facility the year before this was made due to being in a dark place he had to talk to his younger self as a technique there

Don’t worry about not achieving your goals at your age man. No two people are alike. When I went to college I had a class with a guy in his late 50’s. He wanted to get a college degree since he didn’t have one. There are people who have became millionaires in their 60’s and some in their 20’s. Everyone’s timeline is unique. Keep staying positive and set goals for yourself. About 9 years ago I was done with making a minimum wage. I decided I wanted to become a technician at my dealership and set my main focus on it. Took me a couple years to get my training but I was glad I did. I also decided I didn’t just want to be a regular tech, but specialize in something most techs can’t do. I chose transmissions because it was harder and challenged myself to be the best tech I could become. Now I’m one of the few in my area who can do it. I get the message in the song. But I also feel it’s good to set goals to keep up the motivation
One of my favorite NF songs! I feel it's super underrated. If you want to see some good breakdowns by reactors, check out Cliffbeats and/or Knox Hill. They both have a great insight for lyrics and there isn't much that goes over their heads.
Yeah I really like this song and it's concept. I watch KH and cliff beats. I subbed to both after you guys told me to check em out. I definitely enjoy their content. I personally wish they'd be slightly more on the entertainment side no hate towards them or whatever they are nasty at what they do. I'm just more of a wanna laugh kinda dude. I definitely get inspiration from them though and have been learning a lot from them. I kinda wanna be good at bar breakdown and add the humor I'm wanting thrown in there too
This is one of my favorites as well.. is it bad though that the only thing I am taking from this reaction is the fact that you waved the stick and said :" habooti kadudi" LOL.. I think the reason he calls himself the "fakest" is the same reason a lot of Christians feel shame and guilt. He thinks that since he sins and has struggles that it makes him "fake." As a Christian, I know I've felt that I don't deserve God's love and forgiveness, because I live with myself every day and know that I fall short in a lot of areas. That's how I take it when he calls himself "fake."
