If you are just getting started with Tiny Whoops or micro drones and don’t want to invest in a full size FrSky Taranis Q X7 radio this might be the perfect option for you. As long as you stay within 100 meters or so it has all the switches you need and has pretty good gimbles. If you plan on racing full size drones give it a pass and save up for the Taranis. But for the price, this is a huge upgrade over the stock micro drone radios.

The one I received with my quad was trash. I contacted DYS and they didn't care and just blew me off telling me to check betaflight. The gimbals were messed up. Maybe I just received a defective one idk. I do know customer service is what helped me decide I will not purchase DYS products again.

Theres a weird curve in the throttle.. all the other channel is adjustable but not the throttle... i hope they have an updated version or something..
Great find. Subbed. Flying with DX9, but friend needs an entry level transmitter. Doesn't have the awesome shape of the Evolution, but cheaper and their quads/receivers will be ready for a QX7 or Taranis.
Nevermind. Found a little info about D8 vs D16. Can live with FrSky telemetry but no SmartPort. Same with not having modelmatch, binding all quads to this but only flying one at a time. But no failsafe? Ugh. Micro indoor use only. Also seems it needs an antenna mod out of the box.
+TweakRacer most D8 receivers default to No Pulses on loss of signal. So if configured in Betaflight it will just drop.
...perhaps I'm mistaken, but is that not a threaded antenna adapter in the middle?

Hi DroneRacer101! Thanks for the info. I have both Eachine E010S (FrSky) and DYS ELF TX (brand new both, also I'm a rookie) and followed your steps but could not bind them.... I do have "reception bars" in the TX while both drone and tx are on... but never got to make the propellers work... Any tips would really help. Many many thanks!!!

on my devo 7e after switching the channel lay out i also switched it to mode 1 and then the throttle warning moved off pitch and on to the throttle... maybe you can do it on this as well.

i'm using turnigy 9xr with frsky module, now i want to buy something smaller and cheaper for my quad race setup that i can carry everywhere in my backpack. I've seen turnigy evo but sadly i fly with pinching style. Do you recommend me to buy this remote ? it's okay for me to do some mod or hack.

Figured this would be a cool choice just to leave in the living room next to my tiny whoop. It bound very easy but the end points and centers are so far off that it doesnt fly right at all. Any idea how to fix this?

Jumping more than I'd like to see and very off center. Also the end points are like 70 off of 1000 and 2000. Rebound to my taranis and it's fine like it was before. Basically the pitch and roll where way to sensitive, throttle wasn't right, and yaw spun it out of control.

+Jeffri Ranger You could, this actually happened to me once with the E010C. We had two of them racing, it was neck and neck, then we realized one radio was linked to both.

+john mccay if you are really getting into the hobby I agree. But there are a lot of people that just want to fly a tiny whoop around their house and will never spend $100+ for a radio. This might be a good option for them.
dude in the time when I started this hobby about 20 years ago - the range of my rc devices was around 5 - 10 meters and I would have killed for such a thing :-D
