It isn't capture like in the games that have it, it's just the name for the chess pieces killing a unit, sounds better than just having a weapon called "kill" or smt

Yeah, it’s disappointing. We need a romhack that limits the movement properly but makes them always hit for lethal damage, while having 1 hp themself. Gotta be true to the chess lore. Granted I don’t know if we could implement some of the recent lore additions, the multiverse mechanics are complicated enough in normal chess.

It would be very difficult, but realistically, you shouldn't be able to move past your own pieces except with knights. Neimi should have been locked behind the Franz.

Yeah that does look pretty wrong, that Rook should only be able to move horizontally but it looks like it can move diagonally and even every direction in-between as well! How overpowered.
