I bought a SLF (Single Line Font) and when I extracted it. I installed both files. Could not figure out how to get the font in my Canvas Workspace. So I bought another one and only extracted the SLF not the one for FontLab and I was able to get font in Canvas Workspace. I'm going to email company I bought SLF file from and see if I can uninstall the other one.

Thank you. That was very helpful, but why cant I use the single line font directly in Scanncut?

At 02:58 I show the contents of the folder after the download and it does not show an OTF folder. Why were you expecting one? The only OTF font supplied is in the Fontlab Pad folder as shown later in the video.
If you are missing these files, I would suggest reaching out to the supplier of the font.
