I was there for this show. His throat was messed up for sure. He talked to a lot of us Cold Army fans outside , and you could tell then. This brings back memories, thank you for this upload!
It's weird hearing him talk about the influence to NO ONE, i'm 27 but feel exactly how described his parents. Great performance none the less and i'm glad they're still making killer music today, Quiet Now is killer just like the rest of their latest album.
Great video! I saw Cold a few years before this at a show in Florida. That was during the "13 Ways" album. I had already liked Cold a lot by that point but am impressed with all the good songs that came afterwards.

Blame Terry. Seriously. They were opening for Amy Lee and she stole him. Because her original guitarist left the band. Rightfully so. And he filled in, but he got the taste of what it was like being the headliner. Had he just stuck to his guns they would have been way bigger. And every fans response to saying they should have been better is justified.
Thank you for this, i was trying to find this over the years and now its here. There's only been a small clip of "Don't Belong" here on RUclips. So thank you and much love. COLD 4 LIFE
I'm trying to study his vocals to figure out his type of vocal distortion on intense lyrics and it's literally just him grumbling into the mic lol. There's no technique, it's just what he sounds like. Not even fair lol. Wonderful voice, completely unique.
The record and what Scooter actually wanted to sound like were very different...at least for the first few albums. It was somewhat disappointing to many of us because it almost sounded like 2 different bands. A bit deceiving.. Nonetheless, I absolutely love this band and most of all Scooter's voice. They've brought me through some dark times.
thing is, listening to year of the spider and the next album puts me in that mindset of those dark places, you ever listen to album that you used to listen to during those dark times and when you hear those albums again it brings you right back, poison the well does that to me as well, its odd
It's hilarious that he talked about "Fuck the music industry, We are writing a song that's called "Don't Belong" And doing a whole moment about fuck Interscope we are just "keeping it Cold" And I will actually sidestep the fact that Rivers from Wheezer wrote their biggest "radio song" Like bro. And what do we get? Terry literally steps in for Amy Lee because her guitarist rightfully quit. And he had to fill in. And by doing so Cold had to take an extreme left turn to even survive. EVERYONE left. Props to Sam for being the real Cold OG drummer. In other videos you can see every band member having a spider on either the equipment, or their body that was clearly visible. Terry is wearing all grey. And to this day I have yet to see a video ANYWHERE where he rocks the Spider. And the first chance he got, he jumped ship. Enough said. I've always blamed Terry for the fact that yes, Cold survived. But they got rocked...just when they were literally sending their message to millions.

Yeah, I'm with you 100%. I love this album but its a letdown when the artist cant live up to the studio wizardry live...All those Alice In Chains harmonies are missing.
Scooter is so drunk! Missing his mark on every song and you can see his bandmates pissed with him. Cold is one of my favorite bands but they were hands down the worst live band i ever saw. back in 2002. So horrible.
he was in the middle of a full blown alcohol addiction here. This is why terry jumped ship during that Evanescence tour in aug of 2003. I saw it first hand myself. Either way tho.. This is footage of the good line up together.. and Its not like its Phil anselmo pantera 1997 drunk footage either. @@justincuret

Wow Thanks a lot! Year of the Spider Era is great!
The one-two punch of 13 Ways and Year of the Spider was their peak.

I think Reach 454 was an opening act for this show, want to see them on this channel .

No. He says that in the intro before Suffocate.
