Kornfield's idea: Meditate on your family, friends that want you to be happy, and want the best for you, as a way of getting to the ompassion that releases self judgement - great meditation

Constant noises through a stray mic and the person behind coughing kept the beautiful session disturbed. I am sorry for this. Forgive me for pointing out.Thank you very much

The added challenge of disturbing noises through a stray mic ... was ... perhaps ... designed to take us go deeper? ... to overcome distractions? ... to focus? ... just kidding. I really appreciate Spirit Rock and the free access you give us (also Dharma Seed). I just don't want the value of the work to be diminished unnecessarily. The 'fabric'/fidgeting noise is most noticeable and disturbing in the first meditation segment... but it is there in the talk too. Perhaps the monitoring system is not so great? It sounds like all the audio is recorded only through an ambient mic... and the lapel mics are not plugged into the camera? The material/ministry is too valuable for that. But 'thank you' in any case.
