That was a really good presentation. The first 2 juicers are definitely a good idea but need to be improved and the last one is the best. And it won't rust. I guess the old fashioned twist and turn is and has always been the best.
I have the second and third, and the second is way the most effective if you use it properly, and for me is much faster. I don’t know why he did it so slowly.
Rightly said, I have both the first and second juicer and if you use the first one properly the result exceeds the rest, mostly in high throughput occasions.
I remember I had a juicer identical to the third one around 30 years ago. Surprising to see that the design hardly changed over 30 years. Must have worked quite well.
My mom has an amazing orange juicer press a friend gifted her. It kind of looks like the second one in the video but this beast is like 20lbs and it makes the most amazing orange juice ever 🍊
For a sweet tasting juice, cut the fruit into smaller pieces than just cutting them in half. For example, cut your fruit into 4 smaller pieces (or even 8), then place fewer of them into the press at a time with the face down, and skins up. This way, the rinds won't be smashed and squeezed too. Also, if you have the time, you can always peel the rinds off before squeezing.
Very easy to assemble ruclips.net/user/postUgkxXHNfxr6U9XrHQpsdjUrKNVP231BfS9q9 disassemble and wash. I had a juicer before and remember how much work was to wash it and how little juice I got for this. So, I was sceptical and that's why I did a good amount of research so I don't get disappointed again. So, I picked the Hamilton-Beach 67608A model and I am glad I did. Now, this is a totally different experience! It is powerful and squeezes every ounce of juice so the pulp is almost dry. It's simple and easy to take it apart for washing. I put a plastic bag in the waste container for less cleaning. I am glad I picked this model as it is smaller in size, but delivers the same power as the larger one.
yeah but peeling the orange is way more effort than just cutting it. 3rd one is definitely the best. 1st one is only good if you press many different fruits
well done Dave this is a really well put together video and i like your testing and rating of these juicers, im not into oranges or orange juice but this was really fun and entertaining to watch
The last one is good, but it is plastic. It doesnt do quite well in sunny places, the second one is used a lot by orangejuice sellers from here and it is effective because you just nees a press and done, to get more juice you just need to press harder, a thing that they have already mastered, the last one will break or eventually leave microplastics in your juice
Thank you for you clarity and honesty. "it takes a bit of force" rules out a lot gadgets for me. ( with a weird sort of arthritis making my hands weak and painful) Currently I cut oranges into 4 or 6 Skin on. And just freeze them. Then eat like icy poles. Keeps all the fiber in :)))
I only use a juicer for freshly squeezed citrus. I remove the zest for later use. Then I throw the whole fruit in the juicer and voilà. My favourite is the original Tupperware lemon manual juicer. They no longer make it. I’ve had it since 1980.
Also just peel the orange first so that the skin doesn't clog it up. It's not like a regular juicer where you blend the insides of the orange. It pressed the entire orange so skin needs to be removed
@@Jessespresso that's more time consuming, considering it's the most expensive, that's just too much work, you barely need to do anything with the cheap one. honestly just don't use the expensive one if it clogs up skin
@@kaleinyann It is but the point of making orange juice isn't to eat an orange any faster haha. It's to enjoy the juice itself. I'm curious how well it'll do if he did peel it first
@@Jessespresso you're not making any sense, first of all you're literally saying the cheap one is good, not only do we don't need to peel the thing, it's faster, and literally gives more juice than the rest, plsss you're just being dumb here.
Using this juicer atm. You dont juice half a orange, its too big to juice it efficiently. I cut it to quarters and juice them instead. No mess, no waste, no bitter taste
The twist and turn is the best. Easiest to use, occupies the least space out of the 3, more sweet juice than the other, plus a little bit o pulp, but the pulp is healthy so there's no downside
Your time to press 5 oranges would've been cut a good amount if you didn't stop to cut each orange after pressing one. If you had just cut all 5 first and then juiced them all you probably would've saved atleast a minute or 2 from eliminating the transition between cutting and juicing
No. I think at most it wouldve been 15 secs. And plus the experiment is for what you would do if you were getting the orange pressers. So the time wouldve counted for the oranges
@@nimon503 take an orange, cut it, put the knife in, takes a lot of time. if you cut them right away, it will speed up the process, and if you hurry, it will be even faster
The first one was used incorrectly. You need to skin the orange first as the softer inner orange are easier to extract juice from without the rind getting in the way plus if you squeeze the rind too hard you also get a sour juice as well which will taint the taste of the orange juice. You can also fit in more into the juicer that way so it works faster.
Btw the first juicer made the orange juice bitter because you have to peal off the skin of the orange and it won’t make it bitter anymore hope this help 🙂
having used this style of juicer since the late 1940's the cut or flat side goes down so you end up squashing the citrus have together, This keeps thins more tidy and from experience allows for the most juice extraction.
The first one may be more efficient if you were to be doing several oranges without removing the halves in-between, though you would have a much more bitter juice with the zest included
The 2nd one could use a little redesigning and it will work perfectly, I do like the 3rd old fashioned one, I am sure there's one in my kitchen too. But I just feel the 2nd juicer looks cool.
The 3rd juicer was definitely hands down the best one, not only the cheapest but most effective, and if you don't like the bits that much just strain them!
Once i got over the goofy music, it was actually a very well put together video. Thank mate. I was going to buy the 1st press but had a feeling that it might not be as good and might have bitter taste and you confirmed it
Damn now I want to invent one. Mine would be an improved verson on the blue one and would just press the orange half onto an almost flat surface with holes around the outter edges. And a crank drive instead of a press so its easier to add more force.
We have a third type of juicer but made out of glass. It is like a big glass saucer with juicer bump in middle. That thing is atleast 50 years old and works amazing
Take a towel from the kitchen, fold it in half lengthwise, tie a knot at one end, put a couple halves of orange into the nest, and twist like crazy over a big salad bowl.
I use a juicer like the last one except made of durable, high quality plastic and it uses a motor instead of a hand. It's highly effective, easy to use, has a usb-c charging port, and never leaves any bits in the juice. However, you can see all that in the price.
You can always run the orange juice through a strainer if you don’t like pulp. I think most people would have something like that. So the cheap one is still something someone who doesn’t like pulp would like. It’s just an extra step which wouldn’t take much time anyways. It’s a classic example of simplicity is best. The cute, more simple looking juicer was more effective and easier to use. And easiest to clean I bet

I actually have the last one at my home. I always drink the juice from that. it's pretty easy to use and the bits doesn't bother at all.
I agree but there’s more pulp in the juice than the others and I personally don’t like the pulp
The first is made of aluminum, which does not rust. The second is made of stainless steel, which also does not rust.
