Hey man, great content!!! I’ve been following your stuff now for a couple of weeks and you’ve helped me a lot with combos, but there’s still so much I’m confused on so I can’t wait for future videos as well, keep it up!!!
I liked the video, I think it's a solid summary of the meta pre PHNI. However I feel like you give too much credit to Dragoon since Ty-phon exists, it's not the blowout it used to be against stuff like Labrynth.
Hard agree there. I was a huge advocate for dragoon before ty-phon but nowadays I feel like dragoon adds one brick, to go minus 2 and get returned to extra deck the next turn. Most deck can set up their board to play during your turn, set up ty-phon and then play during your turn!
Fair enough, i just dont want to auto lose to shifter and that happens if you dont run dark magician in the main deck. thats all it really comes down to. I like the allures to unbrick dm. Typhon is an issue but I usually keep follow up for typhon.
Excellent video! Do you think DM is mandatory as you brought up dragoon alot? personally I have not been running dragoon as it is a brick + ED space + discard 2 (lubellion discard+ negate discard) with no follow up, but I want to hear your thoughts on it.
I think you need dragoon/dm for shifter and lab. branded has good enough of a grind game where recurring cartesias and such will help with recursion. Also fenrir.

Question, if you activate Lost first then go branded fusion, can they still ash it or react to the fusion?
they can ashe it, they just cant negate the activation of branded fusion, ashe negates the effect of branded fusion so it gets through losxt
