    One thing that can be useful with interior plots it that they are 1x1.5 in size, so placing down a single foundation and attaching two small floor pieces to the side will give you the dimensions for a interior plot, useful to know if you plan on building in small places like hangman's alley or Jamaica plain.

    Just wanted to say thank for your work on these mods. I have spent countless hours enjoying SimSettlements in a game that I would had grown bored of b fore sim settlement’s made it to the nexus. So thank you for your time and effort it is greatly appreciated. By the best mod ever.

    If you are going be placing plots on the empty foundation houses, I would recommend separating them from each other. What I like to do is place the 2x2 concrete foundation on the ground and then use the small wooden shacks floor to separate them. I like using them as it gives me that Diamond city feel you see in the game.

    The Rebuild series of mods on Nexus are great for interior plots. Cleans up a lot of vanilla settlement structures and makes it easier to fit interior plots in the space without settlers getting stuck. Mostly, Fallout's gonna Fallout.

      Which rebuilt mod are you referencing ? I am building a mod order for my in depth first run. I can't stand cleaning sanctuary anymore. I restarted the game and went to concord at least 60 times now. I just cant anynore. I didnt went further in the game because i want to keep the surprise. Lol

    This mod is by far the best ive ever played in fallout 4. The depth, voice acting, and story line just kicks butt. Ty Kinggath and team for this it makes my whole Fallout 4 playthrough all the better, never do i play without this mod. Subbed.

    Thank you to you and your team for the amazing work and time that you have put into this mod. This mod for me makes Fallout 4 feel more complete, doesn't just leave me hanging after finishing vanilla. It has caused me to put an embarrassing amount of time into a game I already had a huge amount of time into. I do have a question in regards to settlement building with individual plots vs city plans and supplying HQ. Are city plans better or does it really matter as long as you have the required plots and levels in order to supply HQ?

      city plans are great if your a person that does not want to spend heaps of time doing it all your self or if you want to have a settlement build itself over time regardless of how much your there i tend to mix them in to my playthroughs from time to time for the settlements i dont want to spend for ever building up like the farms and the out of the way ones but as i said it really depends on you

      @@MishaStaggsIt's mostly just a speed of setting it up question - the resource sharing works the same either way.
      City Plans are quicker to set up, and the default options make the rules for them more lax than if you build yourself. If you want full control for min-maxing, you can definitely make more effective designs yourself for mechanics. If you are just trying to quickly build up though, City Plans are the way to go.

    Hey so I’m having trouble. For some reason, when I try playing the holotapes it just says “installation complete, press ok to continue” and when I press ok nothing happens. It just continues showing this.

    Kinggath, something I wanted to ask: Do you see yourself getting into another large-scale mod project, whether it be Starfield (if it supports modding) of Fallout 4? Or was this your 'magnum opus'?

    will we get some update from rise of the commonwealth? nothing big but more like fixes and clearing up some clippings (like how beds are under the city builder table, things like these)

    Thanks! Ive just started playing your mod, and this REALLY cleared up things quite a bit. One question tho... How do I build anything once the buil bar is full in the workshop mode???

      Go up to the red workbench and choose manage then configure build limits choose percentage to go up. Generally I go up to 400% which is more than enough for my larger settlements.

    Playing on Series X, it's pretty cool. Though I made a city planner desk, but there's no computer on the desk. This my second playthrough.
    My first kept crashing due to mod conflict. But the city planner desk was complete.
    I'm at the part after the comm station blows up with Jake.
    Any ideas??

    Hey kinggath or anyone that may be able to help, in Sanctuary I have set up all the requirements at the very start, and using the UI I see these red unhappy faces, and when I look at details in the ASAM, it shows 'Lacking water, defences' and even a house, yet I have stacks of houses and beds and turrets ect, I have also slept to see if adding the required stuff takes a while and yet no change?
    I must be missing something .. buggared if I know what?
    Any help be much appreciated!

    Just started playing SS2 yesterday and it seemed to be working just fine. Today I just downloaded the latest updates now my ASAMs can't be interacted with and when I tried to put duwn a new plot I get a message saying "Important data from Sim Settlements is missing from this plot, destroying" and the message keeps repeating until I delete the plot. What's going on?

    But I have a bug i think and no one has seen it on the forum yet it is
    I'm not getting the plots in the mission (new plots on the old block). Even if i skip that mission i still won't get them, I have looked on your walkthrough and at what point I should be getting them but when I pass that point nothing happens
    I have only ss2 1 to chapter 3 mod download
    I'm on xbox x

    Hello bro i just built a residential plot but nobody is building them and also there are 3 people just standing beside it and they are unassigned. When I tried to build an industrial plot it got built. What do you think is wrong? Thank you

    Something kinggath failed to mention in this video is when you start off, the industrial plots you have at the start of the campaign will only gather regular scrap, so sometimes it will conflict with the random residential plots when you start the campaign.
    This little detail cost me 5 hours of gameplay just trying to figure out how it works and it was very frustrating.
    So to fix this when you're doing that quest with the campaign, for each residential plot you make, make sure it's single family class (watch next video on the list), because those only take regular scrap. This will avoid you having to go out into the world having to look for junk to build the 8 houses to finish the quest.

    It probably seems obvious to someone who knows the system well, but I cannot for the life of me figure out which direction the "wall" on indoor plots faces: front or back. Anyway, I'd have found it helpful to have that info instead of trial and error. For instance, it seems when I "cancel" a plot before it gets started, the work order stops but pieces of the plot stay there. I dont' know what to do about those. So many noob questions! Thought it might be helpful to relate some of those to you. (Having a blast, btw. I played with SS several years back, but I was lazy and put it on auto. The quest/tutorial line is a great idea.)

    Honestly, if possible would you be able to do a cheat mode JUST for the Asam sensor that highlights all the junk? i always go back to previous places i have been to once i get that sensor to see how much i forgot... its always alot to forget... i ususally clean out the Corvega plant and West Everett Estates .

    Good morning King,
    I just have a question about SS2. So I've tried to use one of the blueprints for red rocket since I has it to where I unlocked eveeyplot. The problem I'm having is that it doesn't create all the buildings because it says most plots were blocked by story quest. Is there a way I cns get passes that?

      In the gameplay options, you can allow City Plans to bypass locks. I'm also told by city plan designers there's currently an issue where the mod doesn't seem to always acknowledge which building plan they chose - so it might be that as well.

      The goal is to continue this series until I've covered as much as I can think to cover across all systems. There's a lot to cover, so might be a long while before I'm at HQ. There's a lot of info on the wiki, and if you watch my Let's Play series I dive into a lot of it as well.

    A question about city plans, what happens with city plans that contain plots/ plot types you haven't unlocked yet?

      I think they remain empty until you do.

      They will build unless its municipal which will build what you have unlocked

      Depends on your settings. If you have the options under City Plans set to follow Designers Choice and to Bypass Locks, it will build whatever the designer had, regardless of what you have unlocked.
      If you don't have Bypass Locks on, it will still build the same plot type/size combination - but if you have nothing unlocked, it will remain unbuilt or will pick a new random plan you do have unlocked.

    will you ever do 3x3 residential plots? that can be used to house alot of settlers for say a small area settlement

      There are 3x3's in my game, do you have ss2 extended or are you on console? cause they might be removed in consoles. PC here

    I just need an explanation what is the difference of Sim Settlements 1 and 2.
    I get it, that 2 got a story, but is it as optional as all the great fun of the first version, what else is different, if I don't want the story Sim Settlement 1 good enough or I miss some gameplay element only exist in 2? And finally, the 2 can work together or SS2 is like an update of SS1 so I need remove that one?
    If there is a video which explain all of this just point me there please.😅

    Wanted to start by saying thanks been having a lot of fun so far with SS. I’m an Xbox player and the most recent updates broke the plot system for me no hud interface, and can’t interact with the Asam sensors. I’ve tried reloading the game, no changes any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Also meeting with the Ron’s quest line is broken. It won’t let you interact with him, he just keeps saying idle lines like “did it get cooler in here”.

      @@InsanityIsOurNature I would guess there's a big back-up of scripts to process, Xbox can struggle with that. If you park yourself in Diamond City, and let the game run for a while (15 or 20 minutes), then head back to your settlement - you should find things are functioning again.

      @@kinggath thanks for the reply, I ended up over clocking my mod list with the SS update and had to remove all save files so I’m just starting a new play through again. It might have been the reason I was having issues.

      Is it glossy pink or purple with no texture? I had all the rusted edges on my concrete buildings looking like they were wrapped in purple neon.
      Anyway, it might be a texture that went missing after last week's Wasteland Workshop update. I found a tiny mod that repairs it called Wasteland Workshop Textures Fix by KaySato

      All of the new resources come in the same way as the scrap, via supply agreements with your settlements that have extra. You can get the new resource types in bulk from Caravan Services level 2 or higher by purchasing Priority Shipments, or setting up Trade Agreements.

    Hello so nice you guys are stil changing and improving ss2. I loved the stories to unluck the plans but sadly had to uninstall ss2 because of screen freezing or crashes probably with using other mods on xbox one. So went back to ss1 but there also problems but fewer. It would be nice to having a list of other mods that don't give problems with ss2 on xbox because of the limitation of 2gb? I am using like scrap all, unlimited resources, settlements cap remover, clear sky all dlc, better settlers and have also some items from bethesda shop like donut joe, etc. I also added some ss2 extra building plans. Pity ss2 is not on ps5 as maybe that would have more than 2gb ?

    another headcanon you could use (that i do) is that when putting on your pipboy, there is a neural link that essentially plugs into your nervous system from your arm that allows you to use augmented reality features like the workshop menu, radio audio for private listening (so you don't bug others with that nonsense) and mainly VATS

      If this was an existing save where you already had some settlements, he may have appeared in one of your others.

    bethesda may think they're launching starfield as close to a polished game as possible. I ignorantly disagree. ill wait for kinggath's inevitable suite of game redefining mods to consider it close to a polished product. Already over here waiting for kinggath's take on sim settlements in the starfield universe....

      It's a cheat mod of sorts where you can pay caps to force a plot to upgrade.

    I tried to get back into SS after Chapter 3 launched. Started a new game with only SS2 mods. I'm very disappointed to see that A) SS is still incompatible with itself, using city plans still breaks quests. and B) You can't finish the whole mod due to bugs. The forums are littered with people having issues, unable to get past checkpoints in every chapter. Every answer always comes down to, "you have to do this one weird trick 16 missions ago! restart your game and good luck!"
    People are having to do dozens of playthroughs rolling the dice just to play this thing. Modders are still blaming other modders. It's so disappointing to invest a bunch of time in something only to see the problems that have existed in SS1, and all SS2 chapters haven't been addressed.

      Sorry you're having such a rough time and that the forums haven't been helpful.
      I have done multiple playthroughs on this channel so I could experience issues myself and so far haven't hit much game-breaking content (when I did it was immediately fixed in the next patch). Can you tell me which quests have been broken by City Plans for you?
      I actually am going to do my next playthrough on Xbox, as I presume there are a lot of funky issues there that we aren't seeing on PC.

    yo, i dont have the markers above the device and i dont have the tooltips on the lefthand and righthand screen in build mode like you do. why? i have the mod and it works fine i think.
