- This is the all-new 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV in the RS AWD trim level! This Blazer EV comes in what I believe to be summit white on black and red leather/suede interior. With this being the all-wheel drive variant, we get an electric motor on each axle.
Standard features of this Blazer EV RS include Bluetooth audio, a backup camera, and WIRELESS Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility. Additional features include heated front seats, a power liftgate, and adaptive cruise control.

Looks like a pretty decent EV. It really is a shame they bumped up the MSRP prices so significantly. I canceled my preorder.
For those prices, might as well get a base Lyriq AWD which is way nicer inside
holy crap you guys aren't joking wow 😮 I thought eletric vechiles would get cheaper. you could get a catilliac XT6 for that money
Been waiting two years and also cancelled my preorder the day the Chevy increased the msrp.
Very interesting?? Excellent interior EV s come at a huge price, Mid $$ 60s is Crazy!!!. Going Green won't be cheap??😢😢
60K!? Hard pass. Chevy can stick this where the sun doesn’t shine.
Any relation to Debbie Downer???
I know it's been said but damn man the raised price really killed it for me. I still have my pre-order because I'm holding out hope that for some reason the SS will be cheaper as they see that no one is buying this car.
Someone posted the price compared to the model Y and the cheapest Blazer is $5000 more than the top model Y. Seriously Chevy!?!?
How much was the price raise if you don’t mind me asking?
The SS starts at almost $66k now.
it's more expensive because they aren't anywhere near the scale tesla is and has been for about 2 or 3 yrs now. tesla's success is actually from the last 2 or 3 years, but it took them about 8 yrs to get there w/ a crap ton of taxpayer money
Ain't no way that I would pay 50 anything for this vehicle when I could get the Lyric for 59 . It's not as equipped as the Lyric , although it does look sportier , but the price is way too high , you need to cut it . Chevrolet will be stuck with a bunch of these , because you can get a lot more for your money with almost any other ev in this price range .
But these will sell great on the secondary market at half of the list price!
Why buy this ($60k+) over the Lyriq?
I was planning on really looking at Blazer EV, before the price hike.
Who in their right mind would buy a cheaply made EV from GM? It will be absolutely worthless in 3 years.
I really like the way this looks & it has almost everything I’m looking for in an EV. I even put in a deposit for a preorder however once GM decided to get rid of CarPlay & Android Auto I decided to cancel my pre order & buy a Mach E. To me, especially at this price point they need to give the customer the option of using the native system or our phones. Also, if they aren’t going to give us that choice then damit don’t charge people a monthly fee when neither Apple or Google charge one for their maps. In a couple of years when I’m ready to buy again maybe I’ll look at this again if they change their minds but otherwise I’ll look at brands that don’t try to nickel & dime you to death.
^ Exactly
😅😅😅😅😂
IT DOES NOT HAVE APPLE CARPLAY OR ANDROID AUTO
Thanks so much for pointing this out, I can't believe they did that. :(
And it does not need it. You left that part out.
Who cares?
@@G-Rated of course it needs it, otherwise unless you want to buy their subscription you can't use maps/spotify/etc
@@r5LgxTbQ are you dumb? No it _doesn’t_ need it. Their infotainment system with Google is better than AA/AC. Unlike Ford, *gm* has invested in their infotainment experience to rival that of third parties like Apple. Buyers will subscribe to Google for that premium experience. Competition don’t even offer Google services unless it’s Audi or another top tier luxury brand.
Price lines up with what Mustang Mach E's are going for at my local dealerships. ~60K
Actually they don’t line up trim for trim. Ford has actually lowered the price of the Mac E. For a comparable trim to this you can get a Mach E Premium just under 50k starting plus another 3k off. I recently bought a select & was OTD at 46k which is where the Blazer is expected to start with their entry trim before destination.
$66,000??? Man I could buy the Cadillac Lyric for that much bruh. No thanks🙅🏽
One feature that gm first offer before all the other manufacturers is onstar and its faster than the cellphone especially when needing directions or roadside hello from southern Ontario Canada
Looks pretty bad ass. The price is pretty steep. The Equinox Ev and the Bolt on the new platform is what I am excited about.
Yea i was looking at the equinox but they raised the base price to $34k from the original $30k they was talking about and its not dropping until spring so im guessing its gone go up to the $40k’s by then.
the one you don't know what it is (at 6:39) - DOT4 fluid is brake fluid
overprice, a lot of plastic components
It’s a shame this is more upscale looking and luxurious than the Acura ZDX. This interior blows the Acura out of the water and it’s on the same exact platform.
Who in their right mind would buy a cheaply made EV from GM? It will be absolutely worthless in 3 years.
@@zoobrizz when you feel better, let me know. 🥱
Just making regular cars into BEV is so inefficient. They need to cut weight on these vehicles.
EV lol …..America’s not demanding it *big government is .
Thanks for the detailed first look! Its a shame that Chevy has decided to raise the price so significantly. And my local dealer is adding an extra $5K markup. For $15k less, I think i'll take a Tesla Model Y.
Charge port door much improved over the first generation Lyriq! Absolutely love the soft close door for safety! This is very luxurious for a Chevrolet. I expect the Lyriq charge door to be updated soon although it’s not that bad. This one is noticeably smoother.
The Lyriq is made in Tennessee. The Blazer EV is made in Mexico. Don't know how quickly Tennessee can adopt the new parts and/or production process from GM Mexico.
Who in their right mind would buy a cheap EV from GM. It will be absolutely worthless in 3 years.
Charge door opens and closes to slow.
Charge port door still looks janky as all hell.
@@zoobrizz Tesla tool, Ford fanboy or Stellantis junky?
After GM jacked up the price about $10,000 from their initial quote and took away CarPlay so you have to buy subscriptions to power all the hardware you're buying -- I canceled my reservation and got a Solterra. Better ground clearance, about the same internal size, and much better ride, just not a road trip car (which I was hoping the Blazer would be). Maybe GM will pull their head out of their collective A$$ and put CarPlay back in their products so I can give the Equinox a try at my wallet.
I love the style but the price is a little high for the range/charging capability (150 KW). Forget about an EV road trip in a GM product until they switch to the NACS plug and make the Tesla charging network available to GM buyers. I could see buying it for everyday driving and charging at home if the price was a little lower. FTR, I own a Chevrolet Traverse and a Tesla Y.
So that’s the reason why Chevy won’t include Apple CarPlay or Android Auto: they want to charge for connectivity. Can’t do that when apple CarPlay is free.
Great design , But just another BUNK EV. GM will burn for all these EV's . I feel bad for all the workers and dealerships.
Telas have become cheaper than competitors and there only ones with reliability and a network of chargers ect... all other manufacturers are going to go bankrupt if prices are not cheaper to at least entice new buyers and then build a reliability as well.
no super cruise at that price point
The solución is don't buy 🔥...Chevrolet need to Fix the price ...... Peace
Fantastic design especially the profile. I am a big GM fan but It is sad that they ruined this car by the 10 k price hike.
Yes Who in their right mind would buy a cheaply made EV from GM. It will be absolutely worthless in 3 years.
@@zoobrizz Yeah well that's just your opinion man - The Dude
@@Rupes0610 he’s a triggered *gm* troll, clearly.
A Tesla model Y is cheaper and far more ahead of any manufacturer. This is a GM product, hard no.
ID4 have the same startup sequence
This is a 45k car
The cap that you didn't know, is for Brake Fluid
And now we have a virtual WW3 scenario globally.
Too pricey for me and I have doubts about the reliability of that charge port door over time! I will still hold out for the $30K Equinox EV that Mary Barra promised!
Is there a way to turn off that binging sound when you open the door?
I would hope so because it was getting on my nerves 😂
You can't turn it off on the Chevy Bolt. Drives you absolutely crazy over the years.
@@logitech12345678910 Jesus Christ
Yes - you just close the door!
@@logitech12345678910 Hmm, I can turn it off with my EUV...
I was at a Chevy dealer this morning in Ontario Canada and they had a new Trailblazer RS I think. It was $63,000.00 CDN obviously. I currently own a 2020 Terrain with almost everything option available including the 252 h.p. 2.0 litre turbo engine. This car listed for $43,000.00 in 2020. I think the new Trailblazer is around the same size as the car I have. I think $63,000.00 is way too expensive for this car. I know the bigger motors pump out over 500 horsepower but I don’t know how much more the price will be. This car was their first delivery of the 2024. I didn’t ask to test drive it because I know I can’t afford to buy one.
Great video! I'm looking forward to you getting your hands on an SS variant!
I think of buy a new 24' Chevy Blazer EV SUV.
👍 Who in their right mind would buy a cheaply made EV from GM? It will be absolutely worthless in 3 years.
It isn't 24 feet long...
To much money more important things on the rise
The materials for the interior might be nice but that looks atrocious especially at a premium price point
What looks atrocious? Are you blind? This makes the Mach-E interior look like a tablet in an arcade one. This interior design is even nicer than the Acura who gets the same platform. Y’all just love to hate on *gm.*
Yeah, I don't think I could ever get used to a red interior. The RS really needs to offer more than black or red for interior options.
Stop saying I THINK it has this, I THINKit does that and do your research beforehand
Looks like a Mazda CX50.
Where's the tow hitch Chevy?
Having to rely on worse and more expensive charging networks, a soon to be dated charging port, work with less range and cargo space, and no frunk for $12k more than a Model Y makes this a hard pass. Would pay the premium if they adopted Apple’s CarPlay 2.0 system but without it there’s no redeeming qualities besides style.
Was considering going to chevy since it’s the only American car I’d drive but they got rid of Apple car play and android auto
Do you have the 0-60 ?
Haven't tested yet.
@@NothinButCarReviews Ok thanks, keep us updated on this! This is the only test review available yet

What a disaster inside the cabin. This thing not even in the same league as the Mach E.
Nothing is in the league of the Mach E - you have to really sink low to get into that league!
love chevrolet
MITCHELL SELIG
surprised how cheap the interior looks for $60k+. Sure it's got leather but it's also got rough plastic and glossy black plastic everywhere. Might as well be a loaded Trax.
I knew Chevy would shoot themselves in the foot. I waited six months to try to get my Chevy Bolt EUV. I had it ordered for six months!!! I got frustrated and asked the dealer if I was ever going to get it. They told me Chevy couldn’t tell them yes or no. F them, I ordered a new Tesla Model Y and got that in two weeks. Best decision I ever made …….F Chevy.
That price may be a problem, but it's larger than the Tesla Model Y, Ford Mustang Mach-E, VW ID.4, or Nissan Ariya, one does wonder if Chevy is planning a 1-2 punch with the Blazer EV and smaller Equinox EV, it's like about 2 inches shorter in overall length, wheelbase about 6 inches shorter, width about 3 inches shorter
Overpriced by 40% considering the content. The interior of this model is not Leather and $60,000.00 plus is a travesty. What a joke!
Level 2 DC Fast Charge is 150 on AWD and 190 on the RWD!
So uncompetitive. GM is doomed if they don't get their battery production up. They bumped the price so as to discourage sales to the level they can produce. They have a huge margin at this high MSRP; they obviously plan to drop it next year when the Ultium factory is they hope up and running.
this model has ambient lighting option?
I think so
Now my 1st new Chevy Blazer EV SUV to buy.
Who in their right mind would buy a cheaply made EV from GM? It will be absolutely worthless in 3 years.
@@zoobrizz Why are you hating so hard on every comment? Is someone paying you?
What? Do they not know how much tesla model Y sells for now? Very little room inside no less . Good luck
What do you mean it’s a *gm* so you expect a high price? This thing offers a ton of value. Do you see everything this Blazer is offering? This is more a luxury vehicle than your Mach E. The technology blows the Ford out of the water and it ain’t even close. How much is the comparable Mach-E which is tiny compared to this?
Hilarious. Who in their right mind would buy a cheaply made EV from GM? It will be absolutely worthless in 3 years. Same with Ford
I think the Blazer EV SS will impress me
more than this RS. For that kind of money, I just expect more performance and maybe Supercruise. 😬 Especially for it to be made in Mexico.
@@NothinButCarReviews what does being made in Mexico have to do with anything? I’ll be good when RUclips gets back to reviewers who are just here for the cars/trucks and leave all of their politics and bias back at the house. Lord.
Does it have apple CarPlay? So much for the technology it doesn’t even have that. This thing is a joke compared to a Mach E.
@@zeiss1382 Your first problem is you’re wishing to compare Ford’s very basic UX with that of Chevrolet which is a Google based system that’s leaps and bounds above and ahead. Ford doesn’t have a choice but to offer Apple CarPlay/AA because no one wants to deal with their built in UX as their only means of interaction. The *gm* products don’t need Android Auto, Google and Apple compatibility.
Your second issue is you thought the manufacturer who didn’t invest enough into their _own_ infotainment experience therefore leans on Apple CarPlay were superior. WRONG. Lol 🤡
The interior is kind of wild, but over all it seems quite nice.
Quite a good design on the interior - especially the dash.
It's a Chevy EV. So the EPA is probably gonna be WAY under if range is actually your thing. That Blazer will probably turn in 325 mile charges when someone's not determined to pass every semi on the road.
Quit smearing your greasy mitts all over the interior
Was that front bowtie not illuminated? I thought the RS has that?
It’s probable, just couldn’t see that well in the daylight.
The thing is the government wants us to switch to electric vehicle to save the planet and
I am investing in solar panels in my house so we just buy electric car to save money on gas cuz of gas is too high. My wife Drive 100 miles a day to go to work.
But the EVs cars is not cheap it cost us almost $60,000 after all that tax and license interest rate too high so my wife's car payment is $909 a month at this point what is the point buying electric car it takes years to get that money you pay up front.
honest it is not worth it.
And I feel like this tax credit it's a joke it should be rebate $7500 off the price.
If my wife don't drive that much I will never buy electric car but honestly we regret it.
Then buy a cheaper electric car! Is your ICE a Ferrari? No?
The Federal Tax credit IS a joke! Why should the Government help you to buy a new car! Mind you, as long as they are I would be a fool not to take advantage of it!
Starting in 2024 the EV tax credit will be at point of sale so essentially it will be a rebate as long as you meet the income requirements.
@@ronlaverdiere now do corn, sugar, oil...pretty much every thing in a grocery store is subsidized in some way or another. the govt has been doing incentive based stuff for a couple centuries now.
@@superset5no, they are not subsidized for you to buy them. They are subsidized for farmers to supply them. Major difference there.
Lyriq and Bolts are known to exceed their EPA by quite a lot. I suspect Chevy does this for warranty reasons. So its pretty safe to say this is a certified 300 mile EV. But lets be real here, a top spec Model Y performance costing less is actually insane.
I had an RS on pre order, but cancelled when I was told the 24 model year won't have NACS. But now im glad i cancelled, because of the price.
Ill hang on to my Bolt for few more years until the EV market cools down, or until Fisker starts disrupting the market with their 6 seater Pear.
Can that laser do bi-directional charging?
I don’t think so…
Many butthurt haters here
Are the door glasses double pane laminated?
That I couldn’t tell you.

How does the auto drive do?
Adaptive cruise is nice. No Supercruise on this one though.
Been a GM guy all my life, and a current Bolt EUV owner. I can't see this vehicle selling when comparing to any other similar competitors. Especially when the Honda Prologue looks so much better aesthetically and will likely have a lower price point than the Blazer. The pricing and general styling are gaudy looking in my opinion. I'll be looking forward to what Buick will be coming out with as that'll likely be more my style, especially at this price point.
GM doesn't care if you buy the Prologue, Blazer, or Lyriq. They make all of them.
Nice to see these are finally real. I'm looking forward to the EVquinox, just wish they didn't kill off carplay
They did an EXCELLENT job on this, love it! Nice color contrasting from exterior/interior. That charge door process needs attention though. No frunk is a fail. Need to get a look at the app and what I can operate/manipulate away from the vehicle.

My six year old Chevrolet Bolt EV has held on to it's value incredibly well.
