Absolutely stunning!!! Thank you for saying that " You can do that" It gives me courage. I'm so glad God blessed you with a gift for artistry. Now I'm being blessed by you. Thank you sincerely! May God continue to bless you in your endeavors, painting and family. 🌲 ❤😊😊
This is beautiful! It's March in Minnesota and we've had SO much snow. Even though I've had enough of this snowy winter, I was looking for something to honor the beauty of it. Your painting was the perfect answer! I had to give it a go and am pretty pleased. Thank you for these lessons. You are such a great instructor!!
@@ianapolis You’re very welcome. Honestly though I love the way you explain every tiny bit you do and your work is just absolutely beautiful. Very talented indeed! 🤗🤗
I am studying how to paint realistic snow. So thank you for taking the time out to do this! Every person I have seen so far use blue and sometimes a spec of crimson in with the blue and white. I have been painting off and on since I was 12 and I’m old now! I just never have mastered snow, a wave on the beach or faces! So I’m going to do a study on each.
I'm so glad you've done this one Ian, I found this picture back in early November 2020 and saved it for a later date! You've now showed me the techniques for getting a fabulous result! Thank you Ian 😊
Gracias por poner títulos en español y te quedó Espectacular Dios te bendiga. Tú eres mi maestro favorito tengo 79 años y estoy tratando de pintar un poquito . Desde Davenport Florida felicidades.
I love snow always happy when it comes. I love this painting and how you went about painting it. it is beautiful adding the foot prints, a brilliant touch. Love this painting tutorial will have a go at this. Thank you again and stay safe.
I was smiling wondering if you were going to do a Bob Ross and throw a ginormous palm tree in the foreground 😂🎄😁 Texture looks awesome on my big screen 🌴👍
I have been wanting to try something like this for a long time but wasn't sure how to go about it. Thank you for the inspiration and for making it look doable. 😊
As a Canadian, I am familiar with this kind of snow scene, the trees in the background should have had snow on them too. Also, there should have been mounds of wind swept snow to be more realistic, usually the snow is heavier on the outer aspect of the tree branches also, I'm not trying to be critical, just telling you for your future paintings.
Ian, this is simply beautiful. And beautifully simple :) . I love simplicity :) And, sometimes simplicity is more difficult to achieve than things that look more complicated. You've made it look easy to do, inspired me to try on instantly ... Not that easy when i'm trying to do it, lol. Still, I'm on it, hopes it turns out fine. We'll see tomorrow I guess. It's 2.25 am here in Croatia, and I'm only half way through painting ... :)
i have just completed this painting and although not as good a yours it has quickly become my wife's favourite, i would love to be able to share the photo with you. I am new to painting and new toy your channel, keep up the brilliant work.
When I sit down to paint 🎨🖼️🖌️ I find I get impatient and want the process to be finished as soon as it starts. And yet I feel the need to paint some how.
Not easy ppl but practice and practice on some cheap poster board is what I do I use the rougher back side and cut the large poster board into canvass size squares about same size as this canvass and the rougher back side acts like a canvas does on the poster boards and saves you tons of money on canvas
Great tutorial as usual. Thank you Guru. I have a question though: how is with the copyright? Are we allowed to sell the paintings that we make using your tutorials? It would interesst me. Thank you
Am I the only one who can't paint using his techniques? I mean, he's amazing, but I feel like I do better doing things my own way. Every time I try his way I get a mess. Lol
@@carolg6598I know what you are saying…but I have done that with several artists , I feel like starting a bonfire and throwing my brushes in it. You just have to find techniques that work for you, with art especially there is one size fits all.
This looks a lot like a painting done by FrensArtStudio posted just 26 days before this one but in grey and extended in size. The little plant beside the main focus tree, lighting direction, landscape angle and clusters of trees in the back are the same. Bit more than sus, dude.
A lot of youtube artist use unsplash or pixabay free websites for reference pics, many of us at times use by chance the same pic as some one else may of used and not know it, nothing sus about that dude. As an extra Ill even give you the link so you can see the pic i used. unsplash.com/photos/aQNy0za7x0k
Nice try.... why is my tree in the front a childish christmastree..... rest of it is pretty good :) , I cannot have the nice full snow on the leaves.....

Great artwork and teaching. Love the cat and quirky comments!
I live in a cold snowy climate, yet the winter art of this Aussie is better than mine.
I have found that painting snow is like sand...just a different color...u did a real nice job on this one...u should b so proud!!!....

I like the white snow with maybe a hint of blue or grey. All the snow I have ever seen is white unless it is melting and dirty
Ian Just started watching you painting for beginners., you make it look so easy. Thank you for sharing you immense talent. Ron

Ian. Are you going to have the Sunday meetings?
at times i do in my art group
How come there is no snow on the background trees?
because they are in the background
you can put snow on them if you want to :) artist have that freedom

you obviously don't have snow in your area, its rather childish
You recorded this on the sly and then posted the evidence that you did,you ain't to bright are you ?
