I'm so happy you did a tutorial on this one, do beautiful. I saw the Instagram vid and fell in love. I haven't painted in so long, my mental state has been in a dark place for a while, this has inspired me to paint. I love Christmas and anything with trees. Thank you
Wow!!!! So beautiful. I wouldn’t even attempt this. Lol
You can do it!
Love the depth of the tree limbs
I love love love this tree and how you allow us to see the changes you make as you go, Thank you I struggle with my mistakes, but you have shown me to just keep painting!!!

I love it! I have always loved painting but last year on the 21st of November I lost my dear sweet papaw and he was my inspiration for everything I painted or created in any way and I've had so many canvases that he bought me and I've not been able to paint since he passed but this video of yours gave me so much inspiration like he led me to your video❤❤ thank you so much for your amazing work and inspiration I am excited to get my paint out and create today❤
Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that :( But I am glad that you've been inspired to paint again! That makes me so happy, you have no idea..
Absolutely beautiful!

This is inspiring me to finally pick up my paints again
I ❤ the split screen. How often do you wipe your brushes off? Also, dry or damp cloth wipe? Thank You for the video....your explanations and even your "Oops" are a great teaching moment.....
I want to do larger and medium trees like that with a small tree with lights. Not quite a "Charlie Brown" tree a few more branches than that, lol,
But I can see a picture in my head.
I love it and I'm going to give it a try!
Loved this tutorial. You make painting trees look so easy and enjoyable. Thank you for your help with all the shading advise.
I LOVE this tree. I have never been a painter but seeing this piece made me go buy a ton of stuff to try to replicate it. You make it look so easy! Thank you for creating this beautiful painting! 🙌🏻

Love….wish I could blank out the music but still hear her talk 😄
SO SO BEAUTIFUL!!What colors do you recommend. For the gray ? If we dont have those colors. I guess a better question is what colors from like Michaels or hobby lobby?
black and white
Can you do a tutorial on trees and how to use the fan brush? Mine never turn out like yours
That's on my giant list of "TO-DO's" lol
Everyone is so positive...I have to be negative. Your painting is aweome. I love it! I want to be able to paint it similarly, and I did OK right up to the tree. From the beginning, my tree had no definition as compared to yours. I kept going, hoping I could flesh it out with the different layers of color, but it was no use. My tree looked like a triagular blob with no bough definition. Then my snow was even worse. So frustrating. You make it look so easy, but it is not. You are so good! And when I try to emulate your work, I fall on my face. My paintings look like a 6-year-old did them. It's going to take years of work to be able to do this, but I'm trying. I keep trying.
dont give up!
Also depends on how you hold the brush as well it really did take a lot of practice like holding it and how much pressure you put to the brush
Did you ever do one with lights?
aww no I didn't, I forgot all about it!
Attempted to follow this but soon realised the fan brush is probably a v important part that I'm missing 😂 tried my best with what I had though and will look into a fan brush and then retry 😀
haha yes, you probably need the fan brush! :)
Seems difficult to get a fan brush that is beginner friendly. I will try your style.
I see a Dragon's head at the top of your tree.
Is it okay for us to try and paint this tree? I love it!
of course! That's what the tutorials are for!
I like your tree, I wish the light was more on art piece than you paint tray
What brush do you use for toning?
all the brushes i use in this video are in the description
Great tutorial - would be better without the music though
I agree.. these tutorials are a lot of work and I do my best to share my techniques with you guys as often as I can (without stressing myself out too much with the editing)
Done this one today my forth iv done from your tutorials from a complete beginner and they are actually starting to look fairly good now well chuffed thanks for all the help ! And merry Christmas ;)
The painting and tutorial is excellent but I found the fast, repetitive background music irritating. Didn't go with your beautiful painting.
I agree, I'm not a fan of the music either - but it's royalty free and it's a big time saver to just repeat the same song rather than searching for new music for every video. I do everything myself - paint, record, edit, upload etc.. oh and work a full time job LOL Taking the time to find extra/new music per video is a sacrifice so that I can focus my energy on creating more tutorials for you guys. Maybe someday when I'm able to get some help with my editing/uploading I can have better music - but until then.. it is what it is lol
you skipped the part were you drew rough out line before painting the tree
indeed I did :)
