This band deserves more fame, more importance in post hardcore scene. Every time that Silverstein creates a new album, these guys make it better and i don't know why they aren't famous, they unfortunately are underestimated but i love them
It may be foolish of me to think that, but I always tought of Silverstein as a pillar of the genre. I think they had and still have a lot of impact on other bands. I know they're not the most important band, but they sure have their relevance in the industry if you know what I mean. It wouldn't be the same without them.
Diego Hoyos For sure Silverstein is one of the most important and greatest bands in history of whole core genre. They did and still doing great job and I hope they won't stop in near future. Rock music needs bands like Silverstein
They are so unappreciated but those of us who love them know how great they are one of the most consistent bands around and there acoustic stuff is amazing

Don't know about best, lest you forget Thrice & Glassjaw. Especially Thrice. Silverstein is certainly up there, though.
Genuinely so excited, anytime you guys put out a song recently it just takes me to a different place, one time listening for fun, and then 100 other times to actually notice every fucking element! Some next level production ideas in these new ones, so hyped.

So excited for the album, can't shake the feeling it's going to be progressive and technical and it makes the waiting even more difficult!

Okay, well - let's hear 'em, guys.
What does that even mean?
What does what mean? Demos? They recorded demo versions of the songs to test...many times, bands will release these versions.
Of course they don't. They're doodles. Demo'ing something means you doodle, therefore you have several versons of the songs that you FINALLY finish in the studio. Please understand that. No one's releasing those demos, especially not before the record. They're doodles, the record is the moneyshot.
Yeah, except...bands do. All the time. I'm not sure what you're talking about. I know that they're not *actually* going to release them, but to say that no one releases their demos is completely inaccurate.
Name me one band that did this before the record was out, during the roll-out after it was recorded. The context of him saying it is that they were doodles, they've worked, re-worked and revised more than ever. That was their point, they didn't dangle a carrot in front of your face, hahaha.
lost positives is an instant classic for sure, but i feel like some of the other tracks felt too hollow, i’m used to a much more dull sound from Silverstein. maybe i’ll get used to it over time, but the first year hasn’t done much to change that.
Their newest albun is like that also, half good half bad. Is a shame but theyre human we cant get good good all the time haha

Love this video, always loved and always will love Silverstein, but Dead Reflection isn't one of their best albums IMO. I think This is How the Wind Shifts was their last really outstanding album. I absolutely loved a few tracks off I Am Alive in Everything I Touch as well, but overall I feel like Dead Reflection and I Am Alive are good but not great. Maybe the producer is too hands-on? Because suddenly Silverstein's got a hell lot of pop shit like Afterglow and Ghosts which are decent catchy songs, but this album makes it sound like they're trying to sell out for mainstream success and nothing like the Silverstein I love...

No - It used to be just Shane, but now Paul Marc does some of the vocals too :)
lmfao these guys seem annoyed by the extra influence done by rise records. am i the only one who sees this ?
Shane has said Rise has been incredibly hands off with them. I know the reputation Rise has, but the band says they've had no creative influence on them whatsoever.
