- In this vlog we are going to levuka town in to apply for government grants that will help us in our village seawall project.
When you live in a remote island it's not easy to seek government grants as you have to travel to the nearest town or go all the way to the mainland.
In this case we had to go all the way to the mainland to speed up our application as we seek assistance in our village seawall project.
This vlog is to show what the remote island go through in order to hand in their application.

The problem with the ministry is that there's no policy to make sure that the post in the outer island is not empty. Depends on our leaders if we have good leaders, they will definitely think of this kind of basic little things that helps the majority of the Fijians.
They should set up an appointment by phone so its not alot of wasted time and fuel. Must be frustrating traveling there and having to leave empty handed.
It's a problem in the maritime areas let alone setting up posts in the outer islands also an issue

Wow the amount of time, money and commitment your village is spending is an inspiration, on that same note, your government services are ridiculously unreliable just not matching your input, sad though nonetheless keep on striving everything will fall in to place...❤

Disappointing to see how govt offices in Levuka could not serve you Tau. Very reason these offices are decentralised is exactly for the service of all of you in rural, maritime regions to access government help and assistance. I hope the bosses in Suva will watch this and do better!
Exactly! Only one of the officers has to go and why wasn't anyone else on the ground delegated the task to take care of the service needed by the community.
