An intriguing bird - Moonlight Star kite by Robert Brasington

Yesterday was a nice day for flying.
I really wanted to fly high. The Moonlight Star did not disappoint.
I tweaked the towing point for the stronger than usual wind, and off it went.
Is a beautiful kite, most interesting to watch. Like that is mostly black with just the perfect amount of other colors. The flanges on the wings are a delicate and precise touch that adds a sense of lightness. Robert Brasington is certainly a great designer.
There is a color variant, the Morning Star. I like the color palette on the Moonlight much more attractive.
As with other New Tech kites, materials and construction is very good. However, the spar pockets could really use some redesigning. There are very small, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but they do tend to fray over time.
Is a lovely flier. Does well at low altitudes, if you want to decorate your space on the beach or to leave it unattended while going for a swim. Nonetheless, it can fly very high if you have an endless supply of line.

It's one of New Tech's better iterations of the Brasington designs that they make. Your Morning Star's colours stand out rather more than those on the Evening Star which I have, but I'm quite happy with mine and they are great fliers I think, as with many items, NT have stopped making them now, although they are still available (Morning Star version only).

@@furiber4 Their items are definitely built with a closer eye on price than on quality, but most of them offer good value for money, which is important. With their large range of items, NT have offered people a great choice of kites at reasonable prices, and it's sad to see that they now seem, as a company, to be in decline. Some dealers who have sold their products for years can't even get NT to answer their phone calls or emails, and it looks as if they are struggling to keep going.
