If you do not split the signal, you will get echo in the caller's earpiece. That is why one signal is going to the fx send. You want the caller to hear the radio broadcast through their phone, but not their own voice coming back through. That is my understanding.
So glad I found this video talking about this solution. I'm now considering getting one within a couple of weeks and perhaps I'll even do a video review and demonstration as well. I noticed there were VERY few on RUclips so far.
What I don’t understand is how the calls get recorded from the phone to the computer. I thank you forbposting this. I do live videocasts with my Ipad & my viewers have been asking me for months if I can take phone calls.
you can also use a 3.5mm, 4-pin male jack to a 2X 3 pin 3,5mm female for about 5 bucks. It splits the headset and mic part of your phone and use the other ends to connect to an aux in or seperate channel.
Hey brother good morning, I am A broadcaster for many years now but I would normally be broadcasting From a physical Radio station, No I've been offered a job broadcasting from home but I have no idea What to get and the whole to do the hook up, I know what is that this video is 7 years old but I like it, Can you tell me if this is still the way to go or is there a easier and cheaper way to get it done that would provide good quality sound even though it's basic. If so could you please Let me know and share your knowledge with me PLEASE AND THANKS.🙏🏾
Thanks bud. Yeah I love Jk Audio equipment. I use the JK Audio Broadcast Host for phone calls. It's a bit more expensive but I found one used on Ebay for like $250, completely worth it! Thanks for video!
Thanks for the good info. Cowboys fan? I dated Scott Laidlaw I the 1970's, 2nd running back from Stanford. Worked at The Sports Page Restaurant, owned by Roger Staubach, Randy and Danny White, and Scott Laidlaw. I spilled a huge burger on his white dancing pants, as a new waitress, he felt sorry for me and took me out. I am from LA, went to Richardson Texas after high school for a summer, and had the time of my life. Taught me in the ways of love, Mr. Laidlaw did. Whew!!!
Bro does that whole thing go directly into the microphone. I have a Mackie pro fx 22. I trying to figure out how to run everything thru the board, phone call, background music. I have the free version of blog talk radio, is it worth it to up grade to the $35 a month one? Thank you in advance
Hey man, I got that bluedriver m3. I have it hooked up to a mackie fx8 mixer.. i am getting some static from the caller.. Have you experienced that? I have tried everything I can think off.
Thanks for the videos, your explanation is very awesome Please, can you help me I would like to transfer the voice of incomming GSM calls (IN/OUT) to another mobile device ( that use a VOIP application). In other words. Received a GSM calls and send it simultaneously to another mobile devices (NOT GSM) What are the devices (equipment) and cables that I should buy in this scenario. Thanks for helping me
This might sound like a crazy question but why not just connect a 1/8 in the phones headphone jack and 1/4 into your mixer and do the same thing for about 3 bucks. Is it the quality of that thing that is that much better?
Do I have to purchase some type of streaming service even if I already have my own studio and gear? I'm trying to understand how to get started with the setup and how will it stream if there is no Radio Frequency assigned to me? Please advise.
i need help, when i make a phone call i can hear the the person on the other end but they cant hear me. how do i solve the problem. i fol;lowed your instruction
Surly you could just run an aux cable from your phone through a channel in your mixer and use the audio the same way as you would a deck or turntable? Solution = £Free
instead of spending $265. why cant you just connect the head phone jack out to the input plug in the mixer. The cord to do that is about $12 for 6 foot, meaning there will be on interfearnce. isn't the point to connect the phone to the mixer? and then that would connect to the software, which you never mention. The entire connect to the internet is missing here. Like you pushed the mixer and the expensive bluetooth, but you never completed the process of how it actually works with the internet and what is needed. For someone who said you had trouble know about this you sure left people in the dark.
TheSirranoShow What you suggested will work, using a cord and connecting the earphone jack of the phone to the input on the mixer, you will hear the caller. Only problem is that when you do that, it will cut off the phone mic. The caller will not be able to hear you. If they are listening on the radio they will hear what you are saying, but it could be 5 to 30 seconds later, so that's no good.
That's why you split the signal. Headset jacks like what you find on your phone are four-segment TRRS connections, not the normal three-segment TRS connections you'd find on a pair of headphones. What you would have to do is figure out which segment carries which signal path and connect the correct segments to the correct connections on your mixer. There is no set standard for that, so it would take a little investigation or guesswork, but it's easily doable. You can have your microphone routed back into the phone from the mixer -- just make sure you have a mix-minus set up properly in order to do it.
@@cryptoglenn Not if you have the proper mix minus bus set up and your levels are set correctly. Those headset connections are, essentially, the same thing as a hybrid that you would use in a broadcast setting, they're simply intended for a headset. Reverse engineering them isn't all that hard, you just have to figure out what your specific telephone is expecting as an input.
Someone people need to process audio externally for routing to things like in ear monitors, far end mixes, etc. Also I want a hardware interface if I'm talent / tech.
***** pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=252019808696&alt=web I use this device to play stereo music from my phone to my home sound system and to active speakers
But u didnt show people hot to put the call on air i get phone calls straight from my phone and put them on air or i can do it with skipe i havent done a tutorial yet but i will
my blogtalk radio show I can already receive and send out calls. Blogtalk was using skype at first now they have their own interface system for calls. So why would I need this gadget? I have been on blogtalk for about seven years...
Head full of Hair Productions ...Thanks for sharing that. in process of launching mine soon..What plan do you have with Blogtalk if you don't mind me asking. name of show?
You have to pay at least $12 per month to Blogtalk which is $240 annual. This one device costs that much and there are no more costs after that. It's common sense.
save yourself 200 bucks, get a skype number and configure the soundcard on the computer using skype to your mixer with a mix minus set up on the input.
Learned a lot from your videos...That Bluetooth for taking on air calls is cool!

Thanks for this great video! But, how do you receive multiple callers and place them on Hold?
I'm interested in figuring out how to do the same thing with a hard line vs. cell.

Did you get those static problems fixed?

you could have just used a xlr to 3.5mm and be done with it. you have full control over the loudness of the call with EQ.
Thanks for the videos, your explanation is very awesome

I cant find the bluedriver m3??? Has someone found this item?? I would love to have this to set up to a regular sound system!!
Do I have to purchase some type of streaming service even if I already have my own studio and gear? I'm trying to understand how to get started with the setup and how will it stream if there is no Radio Frequency assigned to me? Please advise.
Soundcloud and podcasting might be a good option for now. You can share your podcast anywhere. Just while you get sorted. Might be good practice ^.^

great works
Here is what you need to do is: hook the audio cable from phone to input. And turn up the level :)
How much did this cost?

Am trying to put 2 callers on the air using 2 cell phones
and both callers need to hear each other. I am using
a Behringer XENYX X1832USB
BTR is already set up to take calls, why wouldn't you use that?
BTR can be flaky sometimes.
Don't I know it LOL. But the phone in system usually worked pretty well.
thanks bro

how do you hookup the mixer to the pc?
***** I have the USB port hookup but not sure how to get audacity to see it.
***** THe one in this video is the one I have.
You can bluetooth your mobile/cell phone directly to your bluetooth laptop without this device saving yourself vast amounts of money and time.
