The fact that its not an album for everyone is really what drake needed to do. Dude has a 3rd of the planet as his fanbase. He can’t never please everybody anyway. So him making a conscious decision towards an esthetic is a great step.

You guys haven’t realised what drake did with this Album, it’s festival season in Europe right now, the whole sound is European festival house vibes which makes more money than hip hop and R&B right now, so you might not understand if your from US / CA. It’s a very big money and sound move especially if he’s in touch with the DJ in the EU, some moves you gotta make without your core fan base to be the greatest

I personally like this more than clb I wanted drake to be on his singing shit on clb based on the title but if you don’t like this type of sound (deep house) you won’t like the album bc 90% of it is that sound which doesn’t mean it’s trash it’s just not for you just like how some ppl don’t listen to dancehall or soca music, I think a lot of Caribbean ppl and ppl who love drake’s singing vibes will enjoy this as much as I do, I’m not gonna say it’s his best work bc he has amazing classics and a bunch of fire leaked songs that I wish he released but this is definitely the type of vibes I like from drake my only critique is that this could’ve been a mixtape instead of an album and that the beats could’ve had a little more diversity some of the beats did sound really similar so I’ll give that point to the haters but otherwise it was a good album

Its mid. only way i can tell the difference between songs was the beat, hes basically monotone talking the entire way through the album. It literally felt like a 50min song with 13 beat switches. it honestly pisses me off so many people trashed kendrick lamars album and love this drake album that has 0 thought put into it.

Everyone keep saying oh in Europe this type music is hot but we are in North America and he's from Canada and made his name in the industry as a rapper. So as much as I like artistic growth and new risks, mostly people won't like cuz mostly people want rappidy drake after CLB drop. So it's a let down in a way. But "can't please everybody" as k.dot said.

A simple way to explain why I/we didn't like Drake's album is this:
This album is like Kanye's Christian Rap album, or if Tory Lanez made a Gunna-type album, or if Gunna made an R&B album. It's just not what we go to these artists for, and in Drake's case takes away his best trait: being relatable to the audience.
