I don't know if it was said it the tutorial but it took me hours to figure out why I couldn't rotate 360 degrees like you could. I finally turned on GLOBE VIEW and there it was. Hopefully that helps another knucklehead like me lol.

My problem ia i need to import a big area of my city and when i zoom out even if everything was rendered before google earrh turns it low poly so I need to do every part of the city individualy is there any way to avoid this?

This is ONLY working if the city is already a "true" 3D city. There's not a lot of cities ( f.e. in Denmark that's Copenhagen only out of all cities in Denmark) :(

You have to make sure to correct the chrome path in the stuff you pasted into the shortcut from this video. By default it'll show you the path on whoever's system the code was copied from, it has to match with the install path of chrome on your own PC
You put that entire line in the chrome shortcut even the part referencing the other location correct? It is pointing to System32/cmd.exe is it two different shortcuts or just one? I will watch again but I am too anxious for this to work! Ahhhhh

But i dont have all the map i took in google map, i just become 3 buldings. maybe i wil ltray later with your method to " move" while capturing. this looks good. thanks Sir for detail help

@@Mr3DArtist unfortunately, Still no luck. On 2.9, once mapsmodelimporter is installed and added to blender, the option to import that type of file doesn't show up
quick update, I managed to fix it and get it running in 3.1.2. For anyone else having similar issues, it seems that blender was unticking the addon when I closed the application. Simple fix though, just tick the addon again. I tried various other versions of mapsimporter but kept getting error messages. Some were compatibility errors and others didn't say but I can safety say, 3.1.2 with v0.5.0 (MapsModelImporter) work. Massive thanks to Mr 3D for taking time to help out

Hey thanks for the video! I'm running into a problem. When I click Inject to Process everything seems fine, but when I then click OK on the Google Chrome GPU box, RenderDoc simply returns to its home screen. I've also noticed that my Chrome doesn't show any debugging metrics. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Make sure you do not have any other Chrome window opened, only the debug one, if you are watching the video, use edge or firefox... it was happening to me until I closed everything else...

Make sure u have the latest blender as shown the video and all versions of programs the same. It worked for me!

chrome shortcut launched okay, cannot find the process in the renderdoc "inject into process", not sure what went wrong.

There are only few cities with 3d data on google maps so try some (san francisco, new york, Chicago etc.)
