- Briefing an emergency Security Council meeting on Lebanon in the aftermath of deadly explosions of communication devices in the country, UN Under-Secretary-General Rosemary DiCarlo warns Member States of possible bigger conflagration and urges all actors to exercise maximum restraint to avert any further escalation. 'They must abide by their obligations under international law concerning the protection of civilians', she said.
what is United Nations? a useless organisation when a bunch of ppl come together, discuss some topics, hava a good lunch and go home....

Lebanon has the right to defend herself.
Since Oct 8 they been shooting rockets into Lebanon. Before that, there was no fore exchanges, when they stop. Israel stop... so are they defending themselves or doing the opposite?
Then why Lebanon fired thousands of unguided missiles and rockets at Israeli residential area? And have they promoted terrorist attacks on them?

Lebanon has allowed a terrorist group to start firing rockets and drones from its territory since October 8 - in an area that was off limits under UN resolution 1701 - and has done NOTHING about it. The UN has done NOTHING. Israel has every right to defend itself from these attacks. End of discussion.
