Also pink as a girl's color is a relatively recent idea. Traditionally blue was seen as a girl's color as it represented tranquility and kindness which were seen as ideal feminine traits. Red was seen as a masculine color and as pink is a lighter shade of red it was seen as ideal for boys up until the 1950's when we swapped the colors.

For most of my life I've eaten twice as much as those around me. I was up to 180 for a few years because I ran fifteen to twenty miles a day in my Marine days. I'm at about 140 because I can't run at my age, bad knees, hips and back. "Thin privilege, accessible to anyone willing to run".

I used to work in a company for 40+ hrs a week that payed me more than minimum wage plus comissions on every sale that i made. After three years they decided that EVERY employee needen to work just 15-20 hrs a week and without the sales comissions (my job was literaly to sell this product). Thats when I decided to work my wage like her (I’ve never seen her videos before). Also, this company is the 4th more richest company in the world in this same category… I ended up quitting and finding a better job❤

As our loving father he cannot give to one without another. He has to give us our own free will, one and all if anyone. Sin is something that takes many forms, and we all fall short of the glory of God. Being perfect isn’t the point. It’s about forgiveness. God can’t blanket forgive sins just because he knows our life’s circumstances. That’s forgive the devil too, considering he was an angel and only sinned one. Again, God can’t do for one child without the other. We have far more sins by count. He’s responsible for all the evil on earth, but it is the humanity that carried out his will. God has made standers we all must reach spiritually in life. Soul growth and development that shows faith. Shows that we’ve taken the teachings of Jesus Christ to heart. It’s all about forgiveness. To be forgiven we must forgive. It all starts at the heart, at home, with our family. Those people that have loved us, sheltered, fed, etc. working though the grievances we all build up with our parents is a huge spiritual milestone. That’s really what sets everything into motion as an adult. Once that gear grins freely the next fall into place so smoothly. Jesus Christ is lord. It’s something you learn inside once you clear out that inner baggage. You bleed your heart clean though your eyes. You understand why you need to submit to Jesus Christ and ask for forgiveness. Everything you ever need is in three books of the Bible. Genesis explains the problem, why these circumstances are so important. Mathew explains what’s been done to fix the system. And just one more, one book of the Bible you chose yourself. I Suggest James. It has many interesting lessons condensed and straightforward. Please trust me. I know how it sounds. Lazy ness is not always the cause of obesity. Medication for certain disorders can make it hard to lose weight. Some medical conditions make it hard to lose weight. My sister in law has a condition in which sugar in her body is processed differently. She can eat something healthy and it causes her to gain weight. The same can happen to people who are thin. Medicine can make it difficult to gain or they can have a high metabolism that makes it hard to gain. Not only that but thin people can have the same health risks that doctors warn obesity can lead to. So don't judge someone based on their outer appearance.

I spent a decade working in different jobs and succeeding at them and none of them are meant to be promoted from. Companies hire middle management from outside now to create a 2 caste system. I've had multiple companies hire a SUPERVISOR for ME and then asked ME to train them to supervise me. While they're making like $5 an hour more than me. And I'm training them. But they get the job cuz she has a fat ass or is the boss niece. You can't go work at places and now and expect to move up. If you do amazing they will do everything possible to keep u there and get everything they can out of you until you quit.

Ugh parent of a middle schooler here. He has no smart phone, no social media. But he just revealed today that when he spends the night at his friend's house, which isn't often, but apparently they watch tik tok all night when he is there. Now I'm like: man I don't want to be that mom, he doesn't have any other close friends like that, so I don't want him to miss out on a social life altogether. When I was in middle school, i cherished my overnight stays at friend's houses, and don't want him to miss out on that. Even if i host the overnights, I cannot take the other kid's iphone away. I've been with you up until you called Veronica lazy for "acting her wage". The problem I have with that is the simple fact of a person working themselves into the ground for a company that doesn't care about you at the end of the day because to most companies you are just a number. When you work you are exchanging your time for compensation. Obviously, one would have to do the job they are hired to do but no extra unless it's for extra money.
I'm curious. Does act your wage include the benefits received? PTO, Vacation, Health ,Life,Disability, Dental,etc. Or are those supposed to be considered as gifts from the company? Example in the Tik Tok she was acting her wage about ( being very generous) $15 hr. Her bennies would probably cost out to about another $15 (erring on low side there). So in effect, by acting her wage @$15 per hour, she still owes the company $15 hr worth of work to pay for the benefits she receives. Wage is only a portion of the compensation received for workers.
@tidy cats I still stand on what I said from the beginning. When you hire in the employer and the employee agree to a certain starting wage and also benefits before the start date. So, does the employer have a right to be upset when an employee does in fact do all of the job requirements but no extras without further compensation? The fact of the matter is the employee has to put themselves first. I say that because to a company an employee is nothing more than a number to which they can replace if something were to happen to said employee.
The "act your own wage" thing is very funny. I have worked at the same company and gone from an intern to a team leader with my wage increasing appropriately. I did that specifically by not acting my wage. If you "act your wage" you will stay your wage. Also I am quite certain that most of those people don't know what their wage is actually worth......
I have to disagree with this somewhat. Being available on vacation is a no. Unrealistic workload is a no. Taking meetings after hours, okay but I am getting paid for that time. Now if I volunteer to learn more and take on extra work, that’s on me.

@@Fhurstenwell depends on your position. simple employees nah they won't be expected to work during vacation, but as a software engineer (team lead) i created a portal for users to access their policies etc. so I'm the SME over everyone else. if something were to go wrong i'll need to fix it quick etc. but of course making 6 figures is worth it imo. i have respect so i can leave early some days or even take a few comp days paid in full. its a pull push thing

I think there's an interview with Elon where that's brought up. He literally fired about 75% of the staff and still has a functioning company. If they'd all actually been working, Twitter might not have needed to be bought out. I’m 23 and deleted social media three years ago and it has honestly given me a new life. I was addicted because I was raised on technology with no filters or time limits, so I’d stay up until 3am mindlessly scrolling like a goldfish. It is so hard to fight especially when your parents, friends, and other family are all addicted. You start looking at things differently, and seeing things for the way they are. People are so addicted to the attention they get online they will do ANYTHING for views, even if it means acting emotionally stunted and recording yourself crying. Very cringe.

Honestly these Tik Toks just kills my brain cells. I really don’t get how Matt can sit through all of them without going insane. I watched the first 16 seconds of the first Tik Tok and I can feel the entire half of my lobes dying off.
At my work. There was a group of young women who were joined by a 6”5’ trans person. It was a man who was dressing up like a woman. Long hair, excessive makeup…. Hairy arms and facial hair… I was SO uncomfortable serving this person as he spoke to me in an artificial feminine voice. Being a server I was polite enough but the whole time I was so unsettled and he actually started to make me upset because of how alert I was being around him. It was an unintentional alertness but those types of men genuinely scare the crap out of me!
I mean like, can't you just let them live whatever life they want to? I am sure you do stuff that some people would consider "weird" or "unnatural" but that doesn't stop you from living your life. They are just trying to live a life that they want to live and can you blame them for it if they are truly happier that way? If there is really no harm in it, why care?

I have mixed feelings about the work one. Yes go above and beyond but employer shouldn't take advantage either like make you work on your vacation or obligated to stay way passed (more than say 15min) your contract time especially if you have other obligations like school/family; that's why you signed up for that job at those hours. Now being lazy and obnoxious is a definite no.
I understand that Americans get only two weeks of annual leave a year. Matt seems to think that being reluctant to work during a vacation is ‘being lazy’.
lost 100 pounds in the past 12 months. the price of admission was giving up carbs. mostly breads and sugar. still eat veggies and meat and low and behold I have my 21 year old weight class back in my mid 40s. we get fat because we are self-indulgent. that's fine as long as we admit our weight is 100% our own fault. when I was obese I always admitted its cause I loved cookies and donuts and bread and pizza...especially pizza. had to give those up to get healthy again...i really miss pizza. that's not privledge. that's self control. being thin is an effort, not a privilege
Good for you and you are right. Being thin is something you have to work at to achieve and maintain. I gave up diet soft drinks for water last year and lost 6 lbs. That came as a surprise to me. I still allow myself two days a week to eat a candy bar, a small bag of chips and a root beer. If I didn't I wouldn't be able to keep the weight off for very long. It's all about moderation and what works for you.
as someone who lost 20 kgs and who is also a doctor, I agree with most of what you said, except that being fat is 100% the person's fault, different people have differences in the hormones that control everything, from satiety points, to body's abilities to burn or store fat, probably even after losing the weight you still can't eat like a regular person in order to not get fat again, so I won't describe it as 100% anybody's fault, it's a struggle some people are born with, just like many other struggles, and it has a way of conquering, if you didn't succeed at overcoming it that is on you but I would still be nice to the person even it was myself for not everyone is born with that struggle, & the important thing is we admit it and keep trying :)
I took adhd meds which were way too strong as I suffered short shutdowns as I would collapse and not breath for ten seconds or more and I would also roll on the floor and mumble incoherently I don’t remember any of it this is from my dads account anyway what I’m saying it was an appetite suppressant so when I was suddenly taken off of it I gained a bit of weight not morbidly obese but just enough to be uncomfortable in my own skin. I’ve been doing CrossFit and PT and having positive results but eventually your so uncomfortable that you will do anything to be more comfortable so I said f it and turned it around

Lazy ness is not always the cause of obesity. Medication for certain disorders can make it hard to lose weight. Some medical conditions make it hard to lose weight. My sister in law has a condition in which sugar in her body is processed differently. She can eat something healthy and it causes her to gain weight. The same can happen to people who are thin. Medicine can make it difficult to gain or they can have a high metabolism that makes it hard to gain. Not only that but thin people can have the same health risks that doctors warn obesity can lead to. So don't judge someone based on their outer appearance.

But he just revealed today that when he spends the night at his friend's house, which isn't often, but apparently they watch tik tok all night when he is there. I've been with you up until you called Veronica lazy for "acting her wage". The problem I have with that is the simple fact of a person working themselves into the ground for a company that doesn't care about you at the end of the day because to most companies you are just a number. When you work you are exchanging your time for compensation. Obviously, one would have to do the job they are hired to do but no extra unless it's for extra money.
I'm curious. Does act your wage include the benefits received? PTO, Vacation, Health ,Life,Disability, Dental,etc. Or are those supposed to be considered as gifts from the company? Example in the Tik Tok she was acting her wage about ( being very generous) $15 hr. Her bennies would probably cost out to about another $15 (erring on low side there). So in effect, by acting her wage @$15 per hour, she still owes the company $15 hr worth of work to pay for the benefits she receives. Wage is only a portion of the compensation received for workers.
@tidy cats I still stand on what I said from the beginning. When you hire in the employer and the employee agree to a certain starting wage and also benefits before the start date. So, does the employer have a right to be upset when an employee does in fact do all of the job requirements but no extras without further compensation? The fact of the matter is the employee has to put themselves first. I say that because to a company an employee is nothing more than a number to which they can replace if something were to happen to said employee.

I have to disagree with this somewhat. Being available on vacation is a no. Unrealistic workload is a no. Taking meetings after hours, okay but I am getting paid for that time. Now if I volunteer to learn more and take on extra work, that’s on me.

I’m 23 and deleted social media three years ago and it has honestly given me a new life. I was addicted because I was raised on technology with no filters or time limits, so I’d stay up until 3am mindlessly scrolling like a goldfish. It is so hard to fight especially when your parents, friends, and other family are all addicted. You start looking at things differently, and seeing things for the way they are. At my work. There was a group of young women who were joined by a 6”5’ trans person. It was a man who was dressing up like a woman. Long hair, excessive makeup…. Hairy arms and facial hair… I was SO uncomfortable serving this person as he spoke to me in an artificial feminine voice. Being a server I was polite enough but the whole time I was so unsettled and he actually started to make me upset because of how alert I was being around him. It was an unintentional alertness but those types of men genuinely scare the crap out of me!

lost 100 pounds in the past 12 months. the price of admission was giving up carbs. mostly breads and sugar. still eat veggies and meat and low and behold I have my 21 year old weight class back in my mid 40s.

I gave up diet soft drinks for water last year and lost 6 lbs. That came as a surprise to me.

different people have differences in the hormones that control everything, from satiety points, to body's abilities to burn or store fat, probably even after losing the weight you still can't eat like a regular person in order to not get fat again, so I won't describe it as 100% anybody's fault, it's a struggle some people are born with, just like many other struggles, and it has a way of conquering, if you didn't succeed at overcoming it that is on you but I would still be nice to the person even it was myself for not everyone is born with that struggle, & the important thing is we admit it and keep trying :)
I took adhd meds which were way too strong as I suffered short shutdowns as I would collapse and not breath for ten seconds or more and I would also roll on the floor and mumble incoherently I don’t remember any of it this is from my dads account anyway what I’m saying it was an appetite suppressant so when I was suddenly taken off of it I gained a bit of weight not morbidly obese but just enough to be uncomfortable in my own skin. I’ve been doing CrossFit and PT and having positive results but eventually your so uncomfortable that you will do anything to be more comfortable so I said f it and turned it around
That's not the case for everyone. Women in general have a lot harder time especially with pregnancies and hormones. I thought the same after I lost 70 lbs at one point. But gained that back in my next pregnancy, have had 5 babies since and weight loss is much harder.
