I had a convo with one of my gay guy friends about this. I asked why he always uses it as one of the first 3 things he says to describe himself when the people he is talking to aren't people he is trying to get with. I can't understand why anyone needs to know what you like unless either they are trying to get with you or vice versa.
His only response was that it clarifies where he is on the "spectrum of sexuality" for clarification. I had asked in regards because he kept saying something about demisexual, so I think he focused more on the specific label he chose, not the actual question as to why it mattered at all.

I quit smoking about 4 years ago, too. Actually, it was in APRIL of 2019. So, not quite 4 years. I didn't do a new year's resolution, though. I was just wheezing quite severely, so I went to my doctor and asked for some help to quit, and he put me on Chantix. He said if it didn't work, he would put me on something else. I was on it for about 12 weeks, and it worked like a charm. It took 100 percent of my cravings and withdrawal away. I spent 8 days reducing the number I smoked, and on the 9th day, I didn't even want one. I haven't wanted any since...even when I was around smokers, there was no temptation. Unfortunately, I'm still trying to lose weight, and even though I am doing all the right things with my diet, it is slow going due to decades of metabolic damage that I am still working to overcome and heal. The last time I was thin was 8 and a half years ago when I was 60. Hopefully, when I finally get rid of all the weight, I will look younger again, too. Congrats to you, though. 😀

Showing up to kids' games, listening to what they are passionate about, genuinely compliment, and massaging husbands shoulders if he is hurting, etc. I've always felt those small moments add up to carry so much more weight than big grand gestures, they reassure them that you truly notice them and care about them, beyond your own needs.

Very GOOD! You gave one of the best pieces of advice I have heard throughout my 64 years! Narcissistic beliefs aren't something to obsess over. Think of ways to put yourself out into doing something, or helping other people. Just a simple sliver of life. Too much emphasis in life, especially for teenagers who tend to be focused more on self, and sexual obsessed. Life has more to it than trying to push yourself into a destructive choice in life. It seems society has become overwhelmingly narcissistic. Turn the camera around; lose the desire for more selfies. Listen more to what is right and, less on what society has to spew for today.

It's easier to start and remain diligent with it after the temptation of good food and junk isn't as prevalent. I started dieting last year and found when the holidays came around, I wasn't very tempted because I was already use to it. If I had started a month before the holidays, I probably would've been.

Second, my first claim is 100% correct because it is a statement based on direct observation: they will be on the machines screwing around on their phones wasting _my_ time. Now here's the judgment: it shouldn't take a rocket scientist that hogging up a resource that you are not using is rude to other people who want to use it.
You daid to approach them, but you also said not to judge. By doing that I will convey the judgement that they are wasting my time, plus it eill get turesome to do machine after machine.
