- I find much pleasure in mixing with CD's rather than with a simple stick. Gives me more creativity in curating playlists and selecting tracks by buying a cd or burning one. Still new to this setup so I'm trying out a few things.
Definitely some functionality of the newer CDJ's is missing, but I find that I focus much more on the hearing than relying on visual representations (essentially what djing should be about in my opinion).
Here some classic Tech-House mixed on CDJ-800MK2 with CDs.

Been doing this since 2002. Still have my 800’s and burn cd’s. Thanks for keeping it alive
Nice!! Yeah I love my 800’s. You can pick em up so cheap now. 👌
I still use 2x CDJ800's as well as Vinyl Decks.. i love actually swapping tunes over & having crates full to dig through thats all part of it to me as well as the whole hunting, buying, collecting sub cultre side to DJing ... Can't beat it or actually holding the format whether its a white label 12" or a burnt CD..... Great Set 👍👍
Yes! Love your sound and mixing! I'm practicing on 800mk2's, minimal techno/tech house/ elektro house. Much Respect!
很好听!!! 追随你 !~~!!
I have to say, pretty good mix. Love it, keeep a good work bro!!
Excellent mix. Wicked selections and lovely blends.
wonderful mix!
i bought 2 cdj 800 too and i will start learning with this :D just wait for my reloop rmx to arrive^^ pretty neat mix :)
It’s good to do basic mixing, but you need to more carefully select the track list and study the material so as to create a single, solid product in the mix that was interesting to listen to and the music rocked. In this mix you have random information that has no drive. Repeat the track list and let the tracks open up, use the effector and loops to create a groove.
And I would advise you to get rid of the habit of adjusting the fader with small, trembling taps, and sudden movements of the potentiometers, it looks nervous and not confident. You have the potential for growth and development, listen to advice.
Come back and make more sets! I love ur shit
💯💯💯👌👌👌😎😎😎🎧🎧🎧
Very nice, what cameras you used to video record?
Nice! What interface audio You have?
Nice🫡
I for one do NOT agree with you that CD's better in any way. It's just digital music files on different media, but with CD's you can't organize and re organize your music as the collection progresses. If you just copy your digital files on to a USB for use on compatible gear, it will be the same experience playing that music as if you played CD's, except that you don't need to swap CD's all the time. As a pro DJ I use only the latest hardware the clubs has to offer, sometimes CDJ2000 first gen, but in my gear collection I have most of the players and mixers from Pioneer DJ from the very first CDJ-500 to to the CDJ.2000NXS2. If you really want a challenge, go for any player in the 500-series, or the CDJ-100/200. I have a few videos on my YT-page where I use those older players. In my opinion, still the very best players to start with to learn mixing by ear.
damn dude, chill
@@pdroangelo Cool as a cucumber :) , dude!
@@dj-peterofficial2753 i think its cooler. swapping the discs out is fun and building your own collection of music on cd can be an awesome hobby. rather that, than ripping/downloading onto a usb for hours in the same chair just for easier access to all your music...
Who cares man. It’s a dope set
