From my own experience, it does psychologically bring a sense of fear and restriction. Things take longer to achieve that perhaps others can achieve much easily and quicker. But spiritually, it makes you intuitive and have the potential to reach a high level of spirituality.
@Tadashi Okazaki no thats destruction... but I guess not all ppl who have this yoga are like the one case scenario. I have the yoga but have not acted the way you describe. Lol.
@Tadashi Okazaki Komilla mentions in the video. That some astrologers do not consider kal sarp yog in existence. But in her opinion and experience, it does play a part. Its all relative. I personally think this yoga can bring forms of extremes in ones life. Like extreme success and the opposite as well. Again individual chart analysis is necessary, considering all the placements and other yogas etc. That may enhance or mitigate this particular one.

Rahu in 9th, ketu in 3rd. Life brought me up just to bring me back down. Married after supporting husband for 8 year, husband got into medical school, I landed very prestigious job. Over night divorced, demoted, and no savings. Authorities a work openly abuse and bully me. Friends keep their distance. I am gossiped about by many and cannot get ahead. I have always been so kind, caring and patient but continue to meet people who seek to harm, use or deceive me. I am learning discernment and minding my own business.

I have it in my chart. Rahu with Jup and Mars. My rahu dahsa is on and has been extremely restrictive in terms of achievements and health has suffered a lot to an extent of experiencing heart attack in rahu-> ketu . On a brighter side on spiritual level tremendous growth and added a lot of wisdom and maturity.

I have kalasarpa yoga of the worst kind. Rahu in pushya in 2nd house with Mars, and Ketu in Makara rashi in 8th house with Moon. Sun in Simha, Saturn and mercury in hasta with jupiter, venus in chitra. Grandma had psychosis as soon as mom was born, my moms childhood was without any mothering/nurturing, my mom developed kidney failure when I was 8, my father died when I was 15. I was diagnosed with kidney failure when I was 24. Relationships never worked out. Brother left home, sort of abandoned mom when I was 27. Brother has kala amrita yoga. Now his relationship with mom and me has slightly improved. Apart from physical ailments, sometimes I feel terribly depressed about how my life (and my mom life) turned out. But all this did turn me to spirituality, meditation, yoga, learning astrology etc, because there was nothing and nobody left.

I am a Leo ascendant with Rahu in 6th. It is a hell! And just now 12th of February 2021 when Sun is entering Aquarius in just a few minutes here in Sweden we have Kala Sarpa Yoga in the sky. And I feel it a lot as Jupiter is in Capricorn. But Kapiel Raaj said Jupiter is the only planet to "take down" and control Rahu...
I have Kala Sarpa yoga. But I have a very good life. I lost many great opportunities in life. But generally I have a better life than others around me.

Ketu in Taurus, Rahu in ghandanta Scorpio... we certainly have had an interesting life together, filled with ups and downs, intensely psychological, intensely spiritual as well....Ketu in the ascendant can bring in all types of interesting behaviours..and spiritual experience..one has to be careful!!🙏🏻🌹🌷

Very Good Explanation Komilla ji. I have KSY in My Chart and My Ketu Dasha began when I was 11. I Lost My Beloved Respected Father when I was 15 and I shudder when I think of all the Worst that I went thru from thereupon till 2016. One word - HELL.
HI Komilla. I'm new to this concept, but I've been astrologer in the Western sense for decades. The nodes feature highly in my way of interpretation. I have this Yoga in my natal chart. Saturn is just outside the Dragon on the Tail side, but retrograde and going to station direct on top of the Dragon's tail. All my planets in the Jyotish tradition are in the Dragon's belly. In the West we notice Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Vesta, and Asbolus. Having those outside the Dragon, on my ascendant side of the chart, I've always felt an alien in this life. I have ideas, energies, patterns, but the means to manifest them seem to always be in the clutches of other people. Working selflessly is a challenge as I grew up learning to defend my stuff from being the son of the ex husband when my nuclear family underwent a shift and I got a different Dad just as I turned 13. I realized myself as a musician just at the same time, the new Dad attacked it, shamed me for not being a good handy man, something I never had an opportunity to learn before he showed up. I'm getting better year by year with various disciplines, but still challenging. It was very much like my fear of Stepdad and Angry Mom, or Cold Heart Mom, held my inner planets in the clutches of a dragon I believed I didn't have the kung fu to face, or thought I did and got burned, and whacked aside, back to my hermit tent by the angry dragon. So yeah, that dragon head isn't far from my Sun either, the new Moon before my birth was an eclipse on Rahu, the Capricorn new Moon (in western tropical) of 1974. My Moon is aligned with the Pleiades. Saturn and Ketu on Orion's club. I feel that music isn't just a hobby for me, it's cosmic architecture. It's a healing path as I tune my voice to melt energy blocks. Living with my original family trapped me on the outside of all my inner planets, afraid to face the Dragon of my mother's fears, and stepping past them one by one over the years. Crashed into homeless now. Coming to see that the mantras and prayers aren't optional for me. Keeps my mind from weaving curses. With a powerful dragon, emotional discipline is required to live a good life, and not just a series of fear induced break downs and burnings. Dragons have featured strongly in my dream life. The training of dragons and dragon riders, similar to musical discipline.
Yes, all that you have shared is true. This can also be the case with for example Chandra is Hemmed in by Saturn and Mars or other such aspects. Rahu is on another level, Grateful.
Thank you for your insight. The 2019 -- 2022 PANDEMIC happened during KSY - a global impact that caused so much loss and suffering. Now that KSY is done, will things slowly go back to normal? The world suffered bc the Powers in charge didn't take COVID seriously from the beginning.
Anyway, I have KSY in my nativity. Rahu/Ketu in the Scorpio/Taurus axis of my 5th/11th. "Troubled Soul" + "old karma"... as you describe one born with KSY! It's true. The intensity of being in the grip of the Nodes, restricted and controlled... aptly describes my experience of it. What in my 5th house am I not accepting? Or rather, what in my 5th am I resisting? Scorpionic instability, fear of the unknown? The key, I think, is non-resistance. Every time something happens that I feel resistant about... I try to acknowledge it and consider why I feel that way? It's my LIFE LESSON... to accept what is happening and let go of trying to control the situation. Like diving under a crashing wave and letting it pull you up to the surface, going with the flow rather than against it.
Thank you for this video. One of my nephews has Kal Amrita Yoga, with Ketu in the 2nd House. He has been struggling with alcohol addiction for several years.
The proper Karl Satpa Yoga is when all the Planets are WITHIN, ie between Rahu the Dragon/Snake Head and Kahului in the ANTICLOCKWISE direction. Hence only Paul Macartny has it. The other two don’t have classic KSY.

Rahu's transit is opposite to the planets.
In Paul McCartney 's birth chart, the planets are just about to enter Rahu's mouth.
While in Kennedy and Thatcher 's birth chart, all the planets are in the belly of RahuKetu.

My husband have a Kal Sarpa Yoga in his D1, Ketu on his Uttara Bhadrapada Ascendant with Rahu in Chitra. His past relationships was a mess, also tied to his career which crashed about 20 years ago. He's running Saturn Mahadasha now, things are turning around.

I am curious on your take when I’m someone’s Lagna chart is not good and when someone moon chart is.
My mother has this yoga. Ketu in 2nd house and rahu in 4th house. She has 4 planets in her 4th house and two in her 5th house. What I have observed is that her life is too much focused on our home, family and me. Much more than usual homemakers.

Hello dear Komilla, thank you for the video. Yes it's very hard kal sarpa yoga .. i have the worst version of it Ketu in Aries in 6th house and Rahu in Libra in 12th house. I should be getting out of mager Rahu period in another year and half or so ...I was told by one elderly Indian gentleman at Joshi's Wembley London , that I chose this life time of service ... that I didn't really need to come to this lifetime anymore ... I have Venus, Sun and Moon in Leo in 10th , Jupiter in Taurus in 7th but I am still alone at age 43 ...Saturn in 9th house Mercury and Mars in war in 11th ....I wander what would you think of my chart ... born only two days after new moon ... weak moon ...best regards Raman
So, if a planet is within the same sign as either Ketu or Rahu, even though "outside" by degree, it's still counted as Kalasarpa Yoga? Also, from my experience, the AC within the confines makes the Yoga far more intense, then if it's outside.

Thank You Mam for the explanation. Having All planets between Rahu and Kethu, excepts moon which sits with Kethu in the same place with degress apart. the degrees are Kethu(15.53), Moon(21.09). Does this means still kal sarpa?

Firstly thank you ma'am for such a great video.. It really mean a lot to me. I'm really not sure whether I've kalasarpadosha or not as different astrologers have different predictions, and each n every time believing them I went and performed pooja at kalahasti temple in Andra pradesh state of India.. (20/3/1980, 6:55 am, born at Thiruvananthapuram of Kerala state). Yet I'm not sure whether I have this dosa or not,but my life experiences says so...from birth my mom hates me n still picks opportunities to destroy me, seperated my only sis from me for no reason, married life hus very loving and understanding, but whole in- law family against..sometimes I feel like a curse as being so good too for no reason my mom n mother-in- law hold hands each other to hurt me, which is really strange n painful..might be i might have been some binladhan or some terrorist in past life, if not, how come this much? Karmic debts as u address ma'am! Blessed with a son, have financial debts, currently under rahu mahadasha with lots of undiagnosed health issues since November and career is like between the lip and the cup..preparing for public service Commission exams, working hard, but not reaching in main list..It's like when I try to release a knot, double it gets tightened. S ma'am, became more spiritual.I'm behind the truth of my birth since 2012, read many articles b4, currently watching almost all astro videos that comes by, but im not an Astro student..I reside in Delhi now as hus works here, even though I belong to Kerala.. There are lots of difference between the remedial measures of South n North.. Nowhere in Kerala, other than poojari enters into Sreekovil n perform pooja, n no one dares to touch the moorthy, n if something happens unusual too, v have devaprashnum and sudhikalashams..here just the opposite, but being here I perform lal kitaab remedies which I could. On ayilyam star(,english I don't know) I give for aliya pooja (milk and yellow powder abhishek, tender coconut water abhishek to snake moorthi) in Kerala as that is the main remedy for rahu dosha there. Ayliyam Star is the right day for puja with milk and turmeric . Shree Kalahasti too - those are the best remedies. Lead a pure Sattvic life and pray to Lord Shiva.

@kotugirl Weerasekare Firstly I wish to mention that this ayilam abhishek can't be performed other than by a pandit ji who's a pure brahmin and the moorthy is of snake.. This is performed on the dates mentioned from the temples which are famous for this prathista on ayilyam star of every month... For this pooja main things more on concern are yellow powder and milk, along with sesame oil, agarbatti, camphor and flowers... There are certain strotas which r only meant for this diety, which are chanted in a different way known as sarpa pattu. The diety is placed in a premises with full of thick green vegetation, just like dense forest, and only during pooja time devotees can go there.. N pandits go daily am not pm to light diya.. There are many believes behind that and those who violated had many bad experience too... Hope things are clear to u

I have only mars, that too in retrograde above rahu ketu. Do I still suffer effects of kal sarp or partial kal sarp with this? I do somehow feel very lonely and unlucky despite being called beautiful, talented, smart and kind. I literally do not understand why I don’t have any relationships or success anywhere in my life and why I had to deal with so much failure and lack of support in life and it’s shattered my self esteem completely. I’m spriritual but frustrated at the lack of support

kaal sarpa dosha or yoga didn't exist at all, it was not mentioned in any of the texts, even kn rao sahab has denied kaal sarp type stuff
Experiennce n practical evidence is beyond any books or sages written scripts. I have pure Kaal Amrit Yoga. N only i know how serious this yoga impacting my life each n every moments in my life. Tq
