I love how all your girls look like they're lost in their day dreams, they're beautiful... Also you're so good at blending no matter what medium you use!

    Yay a video!
Can I just tell you something? In currently in high school and Im stuck in a tough situation when it comes to deciding what I want to be. I know art is what I want to do, but I'm always pushed to college or something conventional. Artists like you keep me motivated to follow my passion, and it is possible to find success in it.
    Thank you!

CydoniaOS my family loved my art until I wanted to make a career out of it then it was " you'll never be anything if you don't go to college and become a doctor or lawyer" " you can't live off of art" and I let their words deter me and I gave up on my art for a lot of years and its something I truly regret, I love art I always have it was more than a hobby to me and i should've stuck with it, I wish I knew then to look at it lime the people Im sharing my dreams with know nothing about my dreams so ofcourse they think its a waste but if you know you can do it don't let anyone else tell you otherwise I honestly believe with all my heart that if someone puts their mind to it they can be/do anything so if being an artist ia what you want go for it because its what you're passionate about

So they have anything like art history and Economics? I really believe that with an understanding of the technical side of selling your art as well of the skills themselves you could not only be successful but help others too!

Go for the art, and but also keep in mind that you may need to support yourself before the art supports you - so while you develop your skills, spend some time looking into creative jobs, so that you will have a back up if it takes a while before art itself provides enough income for you to live on. Since you are young you can get in more time developing your skills before you have to support yourself, and this is a big plus. If you have the strong desire to be an artist and strong aesthetic needs, ignoring those strong tendencies can result in depression, substance abuse, etc. Although you can learn a lot that will also help you manage your future art career by working in other fields and other areas of work can bring experiences that will feed your art .... but find a way to continue the art no matter what if this is what is most fulfilling to you.

Ese Bams They do! I had to take it in Freshman year, and it's an elective in junior or senior year.

I faced that dilemma many years ago when I was younger. I initially went to study architecture...and I dropped it for graphic design. I was much happy that way! But as life goes on, I realized that what I craved was a form of creativity and storytelling. So I played for a while with different tools: I went into motion graphics, advertising, filmmaking. With some success and some without. But as I am older now (40s) I realized that would I have been going into a totally different field, like engineering or programing, I would still try to either invent something using engineering, or program to create some new app or develop some ideas. So... try to narrow what you really really like: is that purely the craft you like or using the craft to create something? I hope I am not confusing you telling those!

I love the mixture of the delicate soft shading of the coloured pencils and the sharper bold ink sections, as always absolutely beautiful piece!

Absolutely stunning! I never would have thought coloured pencil would look so amazing with gold leaf, since pencil has so much texture, but this turned out beautiful.
